What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

this happens all the time. newbie traders see a topic here or some place else or feel the price is going down because they see a mini dump and they panic and start selling, and these sales created a chain reaction that pushed the price down.

but you are forgetting the other half of the market. when there is supply there is also demand. you can't just consider one without the other. and this demand is what doesn't let the price go down.

do you even know how many people are waiting, dreaming, praying to their gods to see a price that is $20 lower so they can buy because they missed the rise?

It will only take someone to dump all the coins that are kept in Satoshi's wallets. For all we know he has more than a million coins. So, if he dumps at least half the price of bitcoin will be down to the slums followed by a lot of panic sellers who will push the price down even further.

people just suppose satoshi has close to a million coins. this has never been proved. beside that, if a dump of even 100,000 coins happen at one exchange, the price will fall below $50 instantly. maybe even lower as stop loss orders will add another wave of coins getting sold after each other. with that many coins you can cause a lot damage to the market.
It is bad if you are in panic now and you have just choose and look for the right moment to sell it and that is really important otherwise you are making some mistakes.
But maybe the sell moment will be indeed soon because the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher and that is perfect.

If there is more selling than demand for buying, then the price would drop. The buyers will get a better price to buy and then more buyers will come to the market.
yeah if panic selling occurs naturally bitcoin amount sold will be higher than demand in the market bitcoin. so automatically bitcoin prices will go down. in fact it is a good opportunity to buy. so do not miss that opportunity. rest assured the price will surely rise again

I think panic selling is no need for now. Because the price of bitcoin is on a good shape and i'm sure it will keep increasing until the halving come. Better keep it and don't panic selling.

At this price and rising, panic buying is more likely. Unless there is a flash crash of $50 before it will trigger more sell

yeah because they know the price will definitely go up. so when panic selling occurs. of course the price will decline and this will be a good opportunity for the dumper to benefit. because they can buy many bitcoin at a low price and sell it again at a later time at a high price

Just dont be in panic and the best thing that you have to do is just hold a longer time and dont be greedy otherwise you are going to sell it to soon and that must not happen to you because that should be sin if you can get more profit if you waited a longer time.
Patience in Bitcoin is really important otherwise you will be not to be able to earn profit.

Well if someone do that, bitcoin's price will fall drastically if they are a large quantity holder. But if they are not a large quantity holder, it will only fall a little. Even if that happens, we will benefit because we can buy bitcoin at a good price.  Grin Then sell it when it goes up.

I think panic selling is not a good choice because it will affect the price of bitcoin now, instead of continue rising it will go down and the price of bitcoin will be low, but others user will take advantage of it because as i said a while ago panic selling will cause to the price to be low so traders will buy a lot of bitcoins and they will sell it for a higher price.

Bitcoin market is too large and worldwide, I do not think this can happen. BTC is not altcoin, with their buy/sell public.  Grin
Unfortunately just you who said like this, other people not relize that bitcoin is world wide and always have chance to getting bigger and higher, they panic when bitcoin price rise significantly, the sell anything and then relize that next days or weeks, the price going better.

It happens all the time, in every market. Sometimes it doesn't have any effect, apart from a quick low. Other times it triggers panic sell. On the other hand, a big buy can trigger a panic buy!

Selling will be now not the best thing that you can do and that is because the value of Bitcoin was stable for a long time and you can already see now that the value is rising.
And it is really nice if the value is rising because we already waited a long time until we can have some profit.

agree i'm waiting for 1k before selling, or 2k, selling now is stupid, it's a good way to lose money imho, i'll sell when i see that the market is reverting its trend, and the dump begin, it's a bit hard to do it, but it's possible

there is nothing wrong with securing profits every now and then. especially when there are a lot opportunities to buy back lower after you sold. it allows you to increase your coin count and to have good fun.

It could hapen, when someone dumps some coins it sets off a chain of reaction which more people dumps as the price falls below a certain limit. But if you think about it, there are also people who are looking to buy, who are going to drive the price up again.

While this could happen it would be unlikely to happen in this fashion. Rather, it is more likely to be one single dump.
