Someone hit a block today in bitsolo.net,  jealous of that 25 btc payout Smiley

If they were paid the coins. I mined a little there never hit a block but every email or question I asked them was never answered by them. so i stopped mining with them.   solo pool.net has a major op in ozcoin but he has had money issues  and I fear running there.

I have yet to feel safe to stay with either one.

that was the block found,

this is where it was paid out to

https://blockchain.info/address/18zRehBcA2YkYvsC7dfQiFJNyjmWvXsvon

and this is the transaction where that address paid the miner....

hopefully we will hear how one of our fellow bitcoiners were solomining with 1 rockminer @ 33ghs and solved a block.....
while it is possible (probability is greater than zero), statistically it has terrible odds of happening.

32 gh is .001195 btc a day.

divide that into  25 = 20,920 to 1 for a 1 day run  at the current diff level.

run at the current level for the next 6 days   odds are  20,920 / 6 or 3486 to one.

any miner that plays the 3 or 4 digit numbers at the local lottery

rather then running 1 of these units at solo-mining is pretty foolish.

my frustration is no major pool offers this option with the exception of oz-coin's solopool.net   ..

Since that pool's op had a major money issue  I do not want to use him and  running solo in house cost too much as I need to dedicated a pc to run as a server.
I really want to offer these as 3 packs on ebay with an easy setup to run two in a standard pool and one as a solo miner.

Sadly no pool that I would trust wants to do this. So a good promo is lost.

Speechless..... it was at the post office within 1 hour of confirmed payment....   you are the platinum standard that all other resellers will be judged by!

+1

Maybe Canary's mine is under the post office. Just come up the mine shaft and deliver packages to post office.

@ phillipma  I think my ambient temps are around 74 degrees Farenheit. My miners are near a door that stay open 99% of the time with a fan on them. The RBox miners closer to the fan run a tad cooler and yes, my temps raise up during the day. Avg temp is about 37-39 but placement of the miners is key as my #7 RBox miner is directly above an S1 and runs warmer than the rest of the bunch.

I was really impressed that my side mounted turn dropped from 47-50  to  37-41..

Cost zip

 also a little better  with watts  240 > 237   and a little better gh  192 > 195

mstrongbow

no screen shot visible. now visible

so the vert mount look better then the side mount.

my ambient temps are 83.5 f or 28.6 c

mStrongbow what is the room temp?

Here is the whole rig 6 r-boxes and   5 gridseed blades.

The gridseeds do blow warm air at the r-boxes

and all power used is right here.

So 1 pc

 a few fans 5?

6 r-boxes set to freq 270            195.00gh
1 5 chip gridseed set to freq 850    0.35mh
5 gridseed blades set to freq 800  25.15mh

all that pulls 708 watts  about $2.60 usd a day  or $78.00 usd a month

I notice in the pictures the R-Boxes are standing upright with the fan facing up.

For better airflow they should be on their sides. Air blowing horizontally.

For the original sales photo ops they look cool upright but should be sideways in operation.
interesting... has this been tested?  any particular side "better"?
....
I side turned them and in under 5 minutes they all dropped 2-3 c
....
interesting... that project to mount them vertically on a beam seems like a way to go then...

Yes maybe vertical is better, but  give me a few minutes I will take a shot of current mounting as  temps are now close to 40c with side mount.

Room temp in attached garage is 83.5 f

six sideways with cablez's pcie adapters:

when they were top fan mounted these ran 47 to 50 c

look at temps now 37 c to 41 c    and the  hash rate jumped to 195gh  vs 192gh
