The thing that is fun because it can use Bitcoin directly, of course this is a good idea and makes more and more active users do not need to divert anymore to Fiat, I hope that more outlets and restaurants can receive bitcoin so that direct adoption will make many benefits.

New innovative ideas usually bring more money and I am sure that this shop of coffee which allows bitcoin payment will attract many more customers as compared to the ordinary shops.
Do we have some stats as to how many people regularly buy coffee with bitcoin through this shop?
This is true, but the same won't happen everytime. Just think of bitcoin as a mode of payment. It requires certain amount as transaction charge. People will think is it necessary to spend in such a way for a coffee when there is possibility to spend for the product and not for the transaction. As in the above quote, users who prefer anonymity could prefer it.

As cryptocurrency usage is regulated in specific countries it is possible to see stores accepting bitcoin in those countries in large scale compared to other countries of the world. In few countries there is heavy taxation, so if bitcoin is accepted then for every small transaction we need to pay heavy taxation.
I agree with your statement, as long as you can pay with BTC you can state that anything that is defined with BTC has:

1.-Associate Fee
2.-TX that can be tracked.
3.-In a business it is likely that they require your data.

If we are people who love anonymity, privacy, I would refrain from paying with BTC.

This is something that we can all have in context because when we operate in complete security we have to take these things into account, and if we can avoid being tracked, it is much better.

Crypto is not legalized in Nigeria every crypto investor is operating at their own risk. Bitcoin and other crypto curriencies were outrightly banned in Nigeria. Although Nigeria is a lawless country where laws are only made for the masses and the poor and not for the high classed citizens. Paying with bitcoin is only done on exchanges and you dare not include any information related to bitcoin or crypto currency in your transaction else your account stands to be frozen. It's risky doing crypto transaction in this part of Africa

In December 2022 I launched a campaign among crypto friends to adopt Bitcoin as a mode of payment in our venture and outlets, on 31st of January I open a Coffee shop and the Capital City Abuja for Bitcoin and none Bitcoin customers. This is aimed at promoting Bitcoin adoption

That is actually the best move i have ever had for a very long time, most especially from a lady from a country like Nigeria whose hate for crypto by its government may tend to demoralize certain citizens who aren't buoyant enough to understand how the crypto space work.
Nigerians has always been one of the top users of crypto not until the official ban of crypto by CBN, which made some people not to have access to crypto for that brief period and suddenly few months later, most top exchanges integrated the crypto p2p which i love so much as it makes us anonymous to bypass our country's crypto ban, and my best platforms has always been Binance and remitano, as you can buy bitcoin in seconds, and they also have a super active customer care ready at all times to resolve your issues.
So no matter what CBN trys to do, they can never stop Nigerians from taking part in crypto, because the country itself is hard and the government is doing nothing about it,  but rather trying to block the only means if survival for many of our Nigerian youths.

That is indeed quite good but the problem is when we say payment via bitcoin then indeed we also have to look at transaction fees there because it will be very difficult for example if we really want to pay for something like the coffee the OP mentioned at a price that is quite cheap but the transaction fee is quite expensive to make it seem -as if paying a fee for free coffee Cheesy

For your country as you say. I wish you the best in business. A good and a brave one for that matter.
My concerns are, how do you intend keeping the government away since its said to be banned??
How do you intend pay regulate payment since price is never stable. Lets say the equivalent for 2$ was 0.00020BTC few hours ago and right now 2$ is 0.0001BTC.. How do you intend to handle that since we’re all humans and humans are difficult to handle..
For the part of making payment, I don’t think that’s really much of a problem, because anyone that’s making payment will always make the same amount in fiat, but it will always differ in BTC. Whatever the value BTC is worth at the moment will always be converted to dollar and the customer will make that payment. And this is not even something that she will worry about, as it’s automatically being done in the wallet. So there’s no need to stress about this one.

The issue here is how she would deal with the regulation part and I have seen comments that it (Bitcoin) is not legal in the country.

On the other hand maybe we are very happy because they are able to get paid bitcoin directly but what if the government knows our work scenario, what will the government do whether the government continues to give us permission or they take the decision to apply taxes.

it will go a long way toward convincing people to believe in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. Nigeria is a country where the government has yet to legalize Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, therefore this proposal will instill a love of Bitcoin in many people's minds, because residents prefer to see things in action, so once they witness this, more people will adopt BTC and cryptocurrency.
Yup to accept bitcoin to our service is innovative because bitcoin is a new form of money and it is fantastic because it is fast, digital and anonymous. When people tried to use btc, pretty sure they going to like it and will never go back on using a fiat again.

I know that the reason why some people don't use btc is because they are scared or not really familiar with it but the idea of the op can give people confidence and the op can educate people too or provide some demo on how btc works. It's a nice initiative and I hope many business owners are going to follow it. I am always looking forward to use my btc even just buying cup of coffee but sadly there are no such shops yet in my town Roll Eyes.

Nice to see you opened a coffee shop for crypto users in Nigeria, hopefully everything is going well and you make a little profit. It's good to hear that there is more and more demand around the world  for such business.  If Abuja wasn't so far away from me, I would definitely stop by for a coffee  Smiley, but would probably not pay with Bitcoins. At the moment I am still trying to rebuild my crypto portfolio, so paying anything for in bitcoins or other cryptos is counterproductive. It is important for any crypto coffee shop to accept a wide range of currencies, that makes it easier for the customer to pay in whatever is best for them. It would be nice also to maybe once a month make a get together for all the other crypto investors, that could come to your coffee shop and sit down and talk about new trends.

In a third-world African country, Nigeria operated by Female CEO. Hello, friends am from Nigeria a country where government regulation on cryptocurrency is flexible according to the law, the CBN which is the apex central bank warns against the risk involved in it and advise Nigeria to be careful, but Nigeria is one of the highest in terms of cryptocurrency adoption according to statistics. Your bitcoin promotion strategy is innovative and I acknowledge your creativity. But you must ensure your coffee shop give quality services. Make sure your serve good coffee brands this would help in attracting more customers. The shop should also be decorated with bitcoin arts. I hope you understand that your coffee shop would for now attract only customers that are familiar with bitcoin, hence you can also use other mediums to sensitive the public about bitcoin. A free coffee bitcoin seminar in you shop would be nice. Also encourage your customers to come with friends and family members.

A Nice thing if we can pay anything with bitcoin, but the thing that makes me still reluctant to pay with bitcoin or other crypto is expensive transaction fees, if the price of a cup of coffee is only $ 5 but we have to pay a transaction fee of $ 15 or 3x the price of coffee, I hope to be able to transaction bitcoin with low fees.
maybe when this happens of course there is something that can be used as a balance there because it will be very loss if something like that happens and I'm pretty sure almost everyone is reluctant to do that because the fee is more expensive than the price bought Cheesy
But indeed this might be a little bit hampered and quite difficult to happen in all countries because indeed things like this are difficult to realize, especially in countries that still uphold fiat

I think the world is getting used to paying with bitcoin. Especially after the Russia-Ukraine war, the importance of bitcoin was understood again. Decentralized and uncontrollable money is very valuable.
Most of the people trust and love the feature of decentralization. Bitcoin has many uses and people are familiar with it. It can be a large payment gateway all over the world and currently, it is using to pay online and offline store.

-snip-.Payments using Bitcoin are also actually much easier and faster than fiat and don't take up space to store them.
Much faster may not be fully implemented. The best speed for sending bitcoins is using the Lightning network and this network is continuously being developed to make it easier and faster to send bitcoins.
Currently Fiat is also available in digital and faster in sending transactions. Fiat remains an irreplaceable competitor, but bitcoin may still be on par with Fiat today.

Even Eccommerce that specifically provides a payment platform via bitcoin or cryptocurrency is already available and you just need to apply it to the business you use like the coffee shop the OP talked about and it's very easy to implement.

of course something good, with the aim of all introducing bitcoin to beginners or at least providing an opportunity for those who are not familiar with bitcoin so they can get to know them better. but like what you said @Slimzeee that every time bitcoin will continue to move because the price is indeed unstable, so it is certain that price differences will continue to occur, and of course there are good and negative sides that will happen.

if I see it, payment with bitcoin for small-scale transactions, is clearly not practical and will actually be detrimental to those who pay for it. if it is not effective for payment for just coffee or snacks, it is more useful if it is for large-scale payments. now a lot of digital money has been used and I think it's better to use it, or fiat is more practical.

I have only one question - is it worth spending bitcoin on this? In my opinion, now it is clearly not the best choice.

It depends entirely on what you consider Bitcoin to be. Have you ever heard of this phrase: "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System"? Yes, that's the title of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin Whitepaper written in 2008.

Is it a digital currency? Yes, it is. Is it a medium of exchange? Yes, it is. Is it a store of value? Yes, it can be under certain circumstances. It can also be a speculative asset. But that is not its primary function. The primary function of Bitcoin is to facilitate electronic transactions. If we stop using Bitcoin as a payment and transaction system, it has no purpose.
