I am enjoying the Twitter. Keep up the good work! This week I think there will be some real action or at least I hope.

Ok, so.... I noticed with my latest "Mined" amount, it's part of some total 1000 coin payout to a bunch of different people (see block explorer page http://cryptexplorer.com/block/31afdea33178041493f24139f62a01259f55e37b7eb030ab7443b3204d03f23b).

What's more interesting is that it went to my "Biffy" address, which suggests someone sent it there, even though the wallet is showing it as some "mined" amount.  Is somebody making payments out to us?

I have no intention on going back through the explorer to double check other mysterious entries.

Biffy, block rewards are 1,000. You must be mining somewhere and are being sent transactions. Double check.

Thanks for the feedback, Lawrence.

Not mining anywhere else for Procoin.  Accordingly, the wallet would show me an incoming for the appropriate labeled address.  Biffy is what it said when you made your donation to me when I first started.  But this... is different.  It's an amount not attached to a label, yet that's the address it's using.  It's very strange.

I stand by my statement... if this is not causing any problems now or down the line, the mysterious payments can keep coming.

Cool. Enjoy.  Grin

As always, more evidence of the weirdness...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/1lsq1m62a01tgiv/Procoin3.png <--- Even the wallet explains about "generated" coins, which it does not say for all my regular "Received with MajorMiners" transactions.

I'm new to this. Why is a pre-mine so controversial?

The thought is that the coin dev will dump the pre-mine and leave the miners in the lurch because of a falling price.

It seems that controversy is becoming somewhat outdated, though, as newer coins now have 50%, 75% and even higher pre-mines.

If anyone was seriously speculating on this coin, they could purchase $250 worth and own a larger amount of coins than the Dev has. That renders the argument laughable at this stage of the game. However, there are a lot of negative people in the world and they need something to say, so this is it.

Ok I get it now. But this 2 per cent is not going to hurt the price is it?

Nope. Even if it was dumped by The Dev for some reason, it would have a negligible impact on share price.

Over 42 million PCN have already been pre-mined and that number is going to continue: http://sancrypto.info/index/show/PCN/

Here's a look at the social media branding I've been working on. I think it's a pretty decent effort. I wanted to get the idea across that ProCoin is for business, people friendly, and accessible. Hopefully I'm getting that message across.

Thanks for your continued support Lawrence! It means a lot.  Grin

Looks pretty business like to me. I joined the facebook and twitter.

2% premine ,total 1000000000,scrypt,I don't like
So heavy premine makes the coin be a potential scam.
Keep it away.

No, we aren't going to 'keep it away' just because you say it will be a potential scam.

Right now the 2% pre-mine has an approximate value of $200. If The Dev was going to scam for that low of an amount of money, he'd have to be almost as dumb as random forum posters. He's a lot more ambitious than that  Grin

BTW, since you're randomly popping off in threads, which one of these do you like best?

I'm not seeing this on Windows...

I'm sure the Dev team will track it down.

I think it's a good time to keep mining/buying PCN right now. The value is extremely low, even for a new altcoin.

It's been a tough week for all coins, so it's not really surprising. Brighter days are just around the corner.

The Block Finder Bonus special continues at Major Miners. http://pcn.majorminers.com/

As I said, as long as this weirdness is not causing any forks, my wallet is welcome to keep minting.  I'll take "freebies!"

Thanks for the info on minting everyone, good to know. This coin has phenomenal branding and incredible potential looking forward, but these technical issues are quite serious, and that worries me.

you're welcome.  The only other info I can provide is just basic info:
- Wallet is Mac (version 0.6.3.0)
- OS is 10.9.2
- Wallet is encrypted AND locked

Unlike all the other POS wallets, this one is minting through a locked wallet (something that would be nice if THEIRS actually did).

I'm enjoying mining this coin but, as I said to MajorMiners, I have "minted" twice and this is not a (known) POS coin.  I'm ok if this wallet will occasionally mint and not cause some sort of fork, but if this is going to cause an issue, you should know it now.

Could you post a screenshot of this phenomenon please?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/b56abpmpexn4vwt/Procoin2.png <--- This shows the last four transactions, but it's the top three I mentioned in my previous post.  The floating tooltip you see is in regards to the "Mined" transaction.

I'm getting a THIRD minting.  I compared to MajorMiners, the only pool I'm using.  There are matching payouts for:
31.5631 at 16:03
28.28693 at 16:35

IN BETWEEN THOSE, there's a single "Mined" (the typical minting process) for 23.33635 at 16:34.  I can find nothing from MajorMiners and I'm not solo mining.  I'm happy to get what seems to be free Procoin, but I am worried what this may cause to the  process at large.
