It's better for the Mods to stop allowing noobies to post links.

This is insane.

Everyone newly registered member posts a link with the "original" or "newer" version of the miner.

STOP IT!

Agreed, it's ridiculous that it's still allowed.

You should be very careful... probably time to change miner and see what happens... that's quite dangerous...

https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/stop-using-phoenix-miner-immediately?lang=en

That info comes from nicehash directly...

So take really care on taking the miner

Hi!
I have an RX 570 8g rig (micron/samsung) and if I have an accidental power failure I have to put the factory biost back on. My settings: -rxboost 50 -mt 1. Does the modified timimg of Phoneix miner remain on it? And that's why you don't give a picture?

I run several 3090's on the legitimate version of 5.5c...  I've also run NiceHash's excavator as well on the same cards.

I can easily get 120MH/s on all cards with Phoenix vs the 118MH/s with the NH Excavator...

NH has improved their excavator but it's still not up to Phoenix's performance.

Fortunately I only mine on my gear and don't use them for anything else so I'm sticking with 5.5c for now...

Nicehash is clearly trying to capitalize on this glitch or whatever it is. They have lost tons of people to Phoenix standalone mining directly to Ethermine for better profits. They will do anything to reel people back into their wonky platform running crappy excavator, arguably the most unstable miner they ever made. Not sure how it runs today but the previous versions were garbage.

Hello guys,

I just started to configure my miner on ETH to begin with, and I've a question on a command.

The -acm worked for me but don't reset when leaving, like all OC presets. Do you know if it's possible to switch back to graphic mode when leaving the miner ?

Something I do not understand NiceHash. At the helm of the company are two brothers of the most famous hackers, programmers of the highest level, and there is such a VOICE accusation against Phoenix. In fact, we only have another disappearance of the program developer (Phoenix) and the blocking of normal download links.
But there is no reason to blame Phoenix for anything. Removed Mega, Like Claymore. Nice took advantage of this fact ... And I do not believe in the good intentions of NiceHash represented by Shkoryants, known as Iserdo. Well, it's not for nothing that at the end of last year they decided to return long-forgotten and rotten debts ..

What I found out so far: NiceHash app downloads Phoenix directly from the MEGA.nz link! (Found in code on Github)
This seems to be safe, by luck: MEGA doesn't seem to allow to modify the file under the link.

That is how they even noticed that Phoenix's MEGA account got banned: users started complaining that Phoenix doesn't download.
Then as some people report NH released Phoenix plugin v15.9. Currently people can't find the miner binary in this plugin, it's empty.

So I suppose NH noticed that Phoenix's MEGA.nz account is banned, they tried to update the link top point somewhere else, then turned it into a PR stunt to push their own miner.

I see. It's from phoenixminer.org, had no idea it wasn't actually his. From memory I downloaded mine from this thread but I no longer have the zip archives sadly, just the contents of them. I can't compare it with phoenix from NiceHash as my NiceHash only has up to 5.4c, not 5.5c.

Ok, no problem.

We're looking if anyone can provide latest phoenix that nicehash distributed in their package, so we can compare if they were even distributing a valid version or a virus.

Ok I’ve just read this and actually registered to answer. I think I’ve got the latest version, cause my “lucky” ass installed NiceHash 2 Weeks ago... Disclosure: I’m a noob and may have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, but in the bin of what they called “version 15.8” the information of PhoenixMiner_5.5c .exe is:
SHA1: 11428C3BDF728860FD057C411A95B14E13F05DBC
Sha256:
599393E258D8BA7B8F8633E20C651868258827D3A43A4D0712125BC487EABF92
There is an empty “15.9” folder though 🤷🏻‍♂️
Hope that helps in any way...

dont download this random dude claiming to have phoenix 5.5D
I hope we are smarter than this

i'm confused about what happened anyway. nicehash is claiming that the official link gave them a unreliable or malicious version, so they told mega and they banned his account? or what I'm so confused

I am new to this forum, but shouldn't the autor (by now) be aware of this discussion and respond to the claims of Nicehash ...
Yes exactly and author is silent for a long time. it is not good. I was waiting from Phoenix update his thread and announce for MEGA problem but nothing. It has been more than month nothing.

Mega blocked all phoenix downloads, could someone reupload the original zipped 5.5c version for windows somewhere (going to crc check anyway) Thanks !! 🙌

+1 Since all other links can't be trusted, I'm waiting for a message of the original author. I'll send him a message.

This is last 5.5c version downloaded few days before MEGA-removing...
If anyone wants to upload it to any other site, let me know. I have account only at WebShare Smiley

DO NOT trust this file! Or any other file that doesn't match the SHASUM of the original archive hash listed in the OP.

looks like Nicehash's unfair competition.
I always compare sha sumof exe and dll files. If they match with mega, nicehash or another source, then this is a real miner.

Hi, with all that has been going on as a precaution I have initiated virus scans from defender, Eset online scanner and malwarebytes, 2fa is already implemented. Password changes just in case.

I use awesome miner that has a repository of previous versions of miners that they allow with their software. Not sure if this is of any use to anyone but with their software you can roll back to earlier miners, if you are feeling unsure.

Definitely not downloading latest versions from sites I do not know.
