I prefer using Phoenix than Claymore as Phoenix is more stable and won't crash my rig.

Regarding 4gb cards getting obsolete, I heard there is a workaround for 4gb card to be still useful for mining ETH/ETC.

Can anyone share that here with us?

Hi guys,

Im from CM and want to test the phoenix miner.

In CM i got 52 MH/s for an vega 64. (155 W on SW miner) and probably 200 from wall.

Here in first test , using auto-tune or intensity 15 i only got 44 mh/S , if increase intensity to 400 i got 32mh/S

Strange behavior.

Any ideia where should i look?

Double check in Adrenaline. 10-12 mh/s is the result of graphics mode 99% of the time.

Actually, that is the result of RX560, and he said he has RX570, which should run around 20MH/s
without compute mode, OC and bios modifications

Not accurate in my case. I have a rig of 570 8gb cards. It happens everytime I put a new one in.
It is same with 580, but looks like he did not switch to compute

Hi, I would want to switch to PhoenixMiner from ClaymoreMiner, however I do not know how to configure. Could anyone guide me to set it up with PhoenixMiner and get the same or more hashrate? Thank You.

Current setup:
- Miner = ClaymoreMiner 15.0
- Cards = RX580 8GB (bios moded)
- OS = Windows 10
- Driver = Blockchain Driver
- Hashrate = 33mh/s
- Added command line = rxboost and strap

Claymore Command line:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -platform 1 -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu-new.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal 36tkokW5zecwpwGh3RjGbEvrer2VnNokAX.HomePC -fanmin 70 -fanmax 80 -rxboost 30 -strap 1 -dcri 25 -mode 1 -esm 3 -epsw x -allpools 1 -r 1

Phoenix miner didn't have rxboost option or analog. For changing REF parameter of card (this is what rxboost do) you must use AMD Memory Tweak tool. If you shoudn't use it PM didn't give more speed than CM.

I have Turn on AMD compute mode but i still get 11,2mh/s

If your problem still persists, then give AMD Blockchain drivers a try.
DDU and install them for Windows 7, then ATI Pixel Patcher, if you have BIOS modded GPUs and then give it a try.

What are you going to do with the 4gb cards?
Personally, I will sell

What should I do with all my 4gb cards when Ethereum has exceeded 4gb DAG?

Whattomine has a few other coins that is mineable, but not even one of them covers the electricity costs.

What are you going to do with the 4gb cards?

anyone help me. i use window 7, i always get 11,2mh/s. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0686K0LzxRsC_Xo1qfy_UUnjg
Window 7 ultimate 64bit
Driver 19.5.1
Vga rx 570

Press the y button on your keyboard to switch to compute mode or add -acm to your command.

Mining options:

-acm  Turn on AMD compute mode on the supported GPUs. This is equivalent of pressing 'y' in the miner console.
I have Turn on AMD compute mode but i still get 11,2mh/s

Don't forget to restart your pc after you enable it.
I see any people say: amd compute not working in window 7. Is that right?

I moved my all rigs to Phoenix miner.
Claymore is not efficient than Phoenix.
Less Power cons. more hash.
Thanks.

Junior minor here ... less than 4 months but it took me 2 weeks to compare all different miners (various coins, of course) and figured out Phoenix is best for ETH stuff.

Stable, fast, efficient and darn thing doesn’t know how to crash my rigs!!  Grin

Doing this research 24x7, I also ended up having a black-list for certain coins supported by certain developers charging %2.5+ for their lousy codes!!
