did you run ddu and select gpu and then select nvidia?
you can select between 3 of them.
Yes, I think something happened between november and a month ago when I run ethash mining again but I have no idea what.
I have an image of my disk from start of 2019. I will image it back on one of my rig or test with a linux machine to see.
With my gaming computer which I dont use for mining I have better performance with a 1070...
Also, this impact ONLY ethash... This is very strange.

anyone else also losing hashrate in the nvidias 1070??? is there a fix so we don't need to push power/core in the cards?

i described so often. It is the same as with AMD R9 290/ R9 390. You will loose hashrate after every new epoch.

and is there a fix to it?Huh

There is nothing to 'fix' because theres nothing wrong with our gear, it's simply caused by the epoch size. Soon, most 4gb gpus/asics will not work at all.

Ran DDU again... Still getting half the speed I should get on a 1070ti :-/ (around 17Mh/s)
Very confused at what to do next.
All other mining algorithm gives me normal speed...
Is it possible on nvidia card that memory timing get corrupted for some reason ?

After bios mod on my Red Devil RX 5700XT and running for 2 hour i can say it's stable and doesnt consume more than 5 watt more than before.
Boosted from 51,3mhs to 56,3mhs.

Just followed the guide on youtube as posted a couple of posts back. Thanks!
Is it possible that more "skilled bios modders" could tweak bioses a bit better than just copy 1500 timings?

BIOS modded timings RX5700 - 58-50 mh/s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-AwOPJQH_4&t
I watched the video and it does look doable. He had it running for 20mins with 2 cards and 0 incorrect/rejected shares at around 58MH/s. I just wonder if you have to use the pixel patcher in Windows after the BIOS mod..
I have 3 cards running 24 hours without any invalid shares.
Some cards have different timings ill have another video soon. Some available to achieve little bit less speed. But still there are improvements, with the right timings speed improvements are noticeable .
There is no need for pixel patcher , here is another rig http://prntscr.com/rcivqr

can confirm that modded bioses on rx5700 are working
my bog standard cheap blower can get 57 megahash
but its better at 56.1- that way i can keep blower quiet

using 1370 core 770mv core volts 1820 ram speed
it gets 56.1 megahash  with those settings
im using the 1500 ram straps
about 120watts at the wall
no bad shares at all
props to igors lab and others for getting this mod out
follow instructions carefully its a two stage process with
a special version of atiflash

look at guntisvitolins youtube channel

I´ve got stability issues with my two new RX 5600XT cards in my rig, is that already known? And just for notice, with the claymore miner as well.

Can you guys explain this to me.... Several times I've noticed miner is switching from DAG epoch 329 to 'Generating DAG epoch #0'. I have a mix of 1070, 1060 and 104-100 cards. My 1070 cards are doing 32+ MHs for a short time then miner is restarting with DAG epoch 329 and cards are doing about 27MHs. I understand it's slowing down with bigger DAG but what is DAG for epoch #0.

It's nicehash pool? If so - nicehash can switch on the fly between different eth forks, so it can change DAG's. DAG #0 - is one of this switches to some fork untill it give better profit.

Thanks. Yes it is nicehash. Is it just idling at that time or doing shares?

Why your miner starts with epoch 0. Thats the failure. With Epoch 0 you have full speed, but the Nvidia Pascal cards loose speed with every new Epoch. So 27 is normal with no OC. My 1070 reach 29 - 30 mh at the moment with claymore and tied straps.

It's finds shares on any fork or DAG. Just not always have time till DAG changes back.

Hello there, i'm testing a rx 5700 XT and a rx 5700, the XT get cclock drops to 700mhz lowering the hashrate from 52-53 to 30-35, sometimes is random.. i tried the stock settings and others settings from the forum and youtube, still the same problem.

Also do you guys know if the AMD adrenaline software has the feature for compute mode?, i can't find it.

Good luck miners!

I have the same problem. cclock drops to 700 mhz, and mining speed also!

no pixal patcher...

Mines been running now for 2.5 hours with no rejected shares.... Pool side is still lower than what miner is reporting but need a longer sample size than 2.5 hours.
