As time passes in to think more and more restaurants, delivery services, and hotels would allow crypto payments. This could all happen in 2021. As far as govs are concerned they can't do anything as of now but with time they might impose strict regulations that won't directly ban crypto but rather discourage its usage. But this is only my prediction and hope that doesn't happen.

A US based pizza chain has started accepting crypto currency as a payment method across South American nations. Burger king and Church's chicken already accepting crypto currency as a payment.
Is there a chance that this will be implemented in their branches worldwide? hope they will because this is one of my fav pizza second to Yellow cab.
"Pizza hut nowadays cannot be detached from these technological advances and all those incorporating new approaches for daily necessities," said Richard Elkhouri, general director for venezuelan operations of pizza chain.
Well as Venezuelan government depending in Crypto now sure there will be more and more merchant ,foodchain that will follow or already accepting Bitcoin now.
More than 20,000 shops around South America have been accepting crypto

So, What you guys think the government will do if people started using crypto for buying selling on a large scale as the control of system of monetary fund is going out of the hands of government.

Damn 20,000 shops in all kind?so this means Venezuela is the most accepting Bitcoin as payment in our timenoow?

This is a good move for corporations to consolidate any payment system that accepts Bitcoin. After seeing this, there is no doubt that many large companies will be attracted to use Bitcoin as their alternative payment system. Not only pizzahut but in the near future I hope to be able to do all the daily transactions in Bitcoin.

So, we are going back to that history huh?

It's actually a great adoption for Pizza Hut, that makes people will eventually want to learn about Bitcoin even more and want to take a part on it. But, make sure to buy the bulk amount of pizza when you are trying to pay the bill with Bitcoin since you do not want to pay fees more than your pizzas bill, that is ridiculuous.

There are many advantages that can be obtained by Bitcoin with Pizza Hut finally deciding to accept Bitcoin payments. This is can accelerate
the growth of Bitcoin. Moreover, Pizza Hut is famous and has very many customers, so it should increase the number of Bitcoin users. And
increasing people's awareness about Bitcoin too, this good news is can make Bitcoin to be accepted by other merchants as well. More and more
merchants are accepting Bitcoin payments, indirectly shows the government that Bitcoin deserves the opportunity as a payment. And I hope can
co-exist with fiat currency, so people can get alternative payment options other than Fiat.

Food establishments adopting bitcoin is a great step towards overall public acceptance of bitcoin. The importance of food plus the availability of bitcoin as a payment method may indeed spark people to gravitate towards using and investing on cryptocurrency. Though I still doubt it that bitcoin would be a currency, given the current situations.

So this is about the Pizza HUt in Venezuela?
Actually, Perhaps it is not surprising that more and more companies accept Bitcoin as a means of payment in this country. because indeed the legality and utility of Bitcoin in this country are very advanced and available. Unless Pizza Hut around the world accepts Bitcoin as a means of payment, then this is great.  Grin

But at least, there are still may companies that we probably have.

It is a good step towards developing and rising their popularity, those who understand it, they try to implement different ways of payment suitable for clients. But in case it will be too much from the point of view of the monetary fund or some other governmental institution, so what else they can do - regulate this, may be via implementing some limitations. But in case it will be adopted by the governmental institutions it would be really great.

It is positive news. Pizza Hut is a well-known company and I think they've got a branch for each country if they don't have one for some. The main good news here is that they are showcasing the real use of bitcoin or they are actually showing the world that there's use for bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. It is real and serious money that every common person and company can adopt and use it with daily lives. It's not just for investment purposes but with real transactions and value on it.

it's basically a thing that has to happen. seeing pizza hut companies with international brands and spread in many countries should be able to adopt this progress to facilitate transactions. this is great news and of course this is an example for other international companies to follow in the pizza hut's footsteps

Actually you can make payments to fast-food chains such as Bitcoin, although only in an indirect manner. Pizza Hut gift cards are available in exchange for Bitcoin or Ethereum, and you can use these gift cards for making the payment. Also, pre-paid debit cards are available, which can be loaded with cryptocurrency. You can also use these cards to make payments at the Pizza Hut chain.

You mention Pizza Hut "accepts" bitcoin but there is a foreign payment processor involved pushing their service to various shops.

A Panama startup from 2017 by the name of "Cryptobuyer" has been pushing their product. They are also somehow related to Dash, which they try to promote but there is not much interest. Aside some traders, people rarely ever use Bitcoin, let alone Dash or other altcoins in "daily use".

Its technically "legal" but there is even more tax for using crypto in Venezuela.

The economy of Venezuela is in ruins so this has very limited impact. Pizza is a luxury meal a family may buy once a year, and Pizza from a foreign franchise is like 10 times more expensive.

The official monthly wage is equivalent to less than 1 USD. Only rich people get to eat Pizza.

Cryptobuyer is also linked to some dubious "bitcoin foundation" that is known to collect money "in the name of poor Venezuelans" but their members don't even live here and are quick to bash anyone even remotely suggesting any accounting of their activities. Sadly the Monero community were quick to give them tens of thousands of USD in one of those fundraising that never reach.

It is good for us because it helps to the bitcoin to promote  to the others people, hoping more business like restaurants are accepts bitcoin payment because there is a lot of people who eats in the restaurants.

In the next few years more business will accept the bitcoin for their payment because they see the advatanges of having this coin it will easy to transact and maybe it will increase also their customer because the user of the bitcoin possible to avail their products or service.

There are 3 Pizza Hut here Near my office and we really enjoy having this for at least twice a week as a group and if this will only accept Bitcoin for sure i will start taking a little in my Holding just to experience Buying Pizza using BTC just like the very controversial Pizza buying from the first adopters .

But i know this will take years before finally getting my first slice but i am not losing hope.

For those who live in countries that offers this?better try and use it because that is a privilege that only Few countries has now.because we on the other side is longing for a chance.

Another huge and famous company adopted blockchain technology in their business. Nice, what a great news! It feels good to know that more and more people are getting into it. It makes our community grows bigger and bigger one step at a time. I know Pizza Hut's influence is very small compared to the rest of industries but still it helps us to spread the word for those who are not yet aware of cryptocurrency. So let's appreciate it.

I just feel a little bit disappointed because they only implemented it on their branches in South America. I'm hoping that they will do the same thing here in Asia soon. Even though I'm not a fan of pizza, I would definitely go to their pizza parlor more often just to experience paying bitcoins in real time Cheesy.

It's okay to spend your Bitcoin towards the things that you need to buy as long as the price of it is bigger than the transaction fee to save your Bitcoin, because if you'll buy a $1 slice of pizza having a $2-$3 transaction fee, then your Bitcoin will vanish in no time. However, this is a good news and we're hoping that we're going to achieve the cashless society soon while we are marching to the future technology that's greater than what we have right now.

Well.. there may be people out there who don't mind the $2-$3 transaction fee (especially if the bill is around $25, which is normal for a group of 3-4 individuals). But the delay in getting confirmation is another issue. Are they going to wait for 20-30 minutes to get the confirmation? Obviously the shop can accept the payments even without confirmation, but then it is going to be risky.
