A US based pizza chain has started accepting crypto currency as a payment method across South American nations. Burger king and Church's chicken already accepting crypto currency as a payment.

"Pizza hut nowadays cannot be detached from these technological advances and all those incorporating new approaches for daily necessities," said Richard Elkhouri, general director for venezuelan operations of pizza chain.

More than 20,000 shops around South America have been accepting crypto

So, What you guys think the government will do if people started using crypto for buying selling on a large scale as the control of system of monetary fund is going out of the hands of government.
This is really great, looks like mass adoption of bitcoin is taking place so fast, first it was PayPal platform accepting bitcoin now this, I bet we are going to be seeing more news like this in the next few months, cause I believe more restaurants will also want to adopt it so that they won't be left behind, although I know the government will surely be against it, because they hate decentralization, well who cares we are moving forward that's what matters.

This is awesome! Richard Elkhouri sounds very intelligent. I'm very glad to see crypto being supported on a mass scale by owners of large companies. It's very nice to hear powerful people supporting crypto.
This will be very interesting for the development of the crypto economy.

If this is the correct information. Bitcoin will fly higher, we have been waiting a long time. I think it's just a matter of time. When Bitcoin comes back I believe that it is unstoppable because it is the trend of the times. we need more positive information about Bitcoin.

It is 100% correct my friend.

The crypto adoption in Venezuela is not a new thing. It began few years ago (after the terrible hyper-inflation) and in the bear phase of crypto market, the nation is one of the most crypto friendly nations in Latin American nations.

Pizza Hut Venezuela Now Accepts Crypto Payments. I am not surprised to know they accepted crypto and one of them is DASH. The altcoin has its huge communities in Venezuela.

Pizza Hut Venezuela accepted Bitcoin, DASH, and XPT (the token of Crypto Buyer). See their tweet: https://twitter.com/cryptobuyer/status/1332318397846138881

This is a very good development for crypto and will set an example for other countries, Pizza Hut is a fast food that everyone likes and in Venezuela accepts payments using bitcoin and several other Altcoins scattered in several cities in Venezuela which I think will be an example which can carry bitcoin or other Crypto is well accepted and can be used as legal transactions for other countries.

Yeah it happened before someone used btc to purchased pizza some years a go, its obvious that bitcoin is threading everywhere across the countries, even some car industries will also accept cryptocurrency especially bitcoin as a means transactions, while these companies are accepting bitcoin as a means of payment is because they have known the important of bitcoin in society, before many of them ignore cryptocurrency and tagged it as scam but now its really obvious to them that btc is not a scam, its a currency which is generally accepted if a country adopt it as a means of transactions.

For these journey of accepting bitcoin as a means of payment in such country it will help to boost bitcoin in general, buying hut pizza with btc it's a welcomed development irrespective that I had it before that shouldn't make me not to excited concerning bitcoin, shall it will called second pizza officially payment with bitcoin, some sector of entrepreneur will start buying goods with cryptocurrency especially btc from now enhance forth.

It's great to see pizza hut and more enterprises accepting Bitcoin payments for their day-to-day transaction. With the proper promotion of the bitcoin payment they are offering, it can also increase recognition to other people who will see that promotion. And if more businesses are open for bitcoin, for sure others will also follow the trend. I hope that this kind of opportunity will also happen in other countries/continents, not just in South America.

Actually it's happening only in Venezuela. Bitcoin payment option isn't available in another countries which host Pizza Hut franchise.
It looks like that was the way big fast food companies found to keep operating in Venezuela and being profitable at same time. I'm just in doubt if the government there is in agreement with bitcoin being used instead of their totally devalued national currency. If that is the case, the government doesn't really know what to do towards economy anymore, so they are allowing *foreign* currencies.

South America is really a mixed bag when it comes to the potential of bitcoin in that part of the world. It is the motherland to almost every kind of ill that bitcoin is blamed for concealing. Drugs, trafficking, extortion and such. Then there is the situation where multiple countries have namesake governments with local cartels and millitia having power over the lives of people. It must be terribly hard to secure an honest living in these conditions. I recently watched on Netflix that how the Avocado farms ended up becoming cartel controlled in countries like Chile and Mexico. That kind of sums up the pitfalls in earning an honest living in these countries.

If bitcoin allows these people to have some control over their own personal lives and wealth, i don't think governments will be too unhappy about it. There is particularly nothing to worry about for the chain owners like Pizza hut and others because governments already get their share via indirect taxes when people spend money.

I love pizza and I love the crypt! Everything is fine in this news. I would very much like to live up to the time when there will be a universal card or chip that can be used to pay with tokens without any exchanges or swaps. In fact, it is high time to introduce cryptocurrency payments around the world, because this is the most advanced way to pay for goods at the moment.

I just hope the same thing goes to Pizza Hut branches here in the Philippines, as well as other food chains like Burger King. I would really love paying Bitcoin for buying pizzas one day in Pizza Hut if the Philippines choose to adopt it as well. This is going to be great and we are heading towards massive adoption slowly but surely.

More the acceptance of different chains better it is and waiting to see the acceptance by Pizza hut in my country as well and would love to have someday pizza with btc as a payment. The process may be slow and may take some time, but beginning is what it matter now as such news just bring more smiles and probably in 2021 we may hear more such food joints acceptance as a payment.
Whenever there's a new thing that is introduced .

Developing countries are always first to experiment or try it before other local countries will do but theres still other pizza and burger brands that you might find on your country that also accept a crypto payments .

we don't need to limit our self trying them and we don't need to limit our selves dining on those said brands that arent yet accepting crypto on our place because we can still pay a fiat and eat their pizza and burgers if we wanted to .

Such a large number of shops accepting bitcoin into the business happened during the previous bull market of 2017. By that time Japan legalized the usage of bitcoin and the government itself promoted the acceptance of bitcoin on physical stores. Bitcoin gained popularity out of the Pizza being bought for an exchange of 10000 BTC. Now for a service associated with Pizza accepting bitcoin is really a big step forward and support growth of bitcoin.

The smaller companies have started getting involve into the digital currency and this is a great news for the community. As we know Pizza Hut to be an international business platform, this will help the community only if they wouldn't just allow those in South America to enjoy this dividends and leave other countries-off the lane of innovation. For them accepting Bitcoin as a payment method come at the right time and should be embrace by others whom are yet to venture into this payment method.

So happy for those people who lived in that area they could now use their Bitcoin to pay for their food.
But would the people really use Bitcoin rather than Fiat?
Since Bitcoin have a tendency to grow and give them profit.

This is a good start for merchants accepting bitcoins as a payment option to their store and maybe if many business will see this provably they will follow them, but hopefully we can see a widespread acceptance since I think this one is in selected countries only.

Hopefully we can see an adoption here in south east asia countries since for sure the market here is so big.

To be honest, I'm surprised to hear that Pizza Hut is not out-of-business in Venezuela yet considering their incredibly terrible financial situation. I guess resorting to alternative currencies is the best thing they can do to protect their business while they still can. I would surely not cash in the local currency anymore if I knew it was slowly becoming completely worthless and had the possibility to take other currencies instead.
