I will not let anyone attack me for no reason. we are talking about the forum if they should remove the color text option or the text format at all. why would you discuss me?

If you add much spices to a soup, you can't tell which portion to eat so it's either you eat or you don't eat it all.

You created this thread to ask of the community opinion and attacking those dropping their little cents is not helping you. You need to slow down. Colored text is allowed but over using makes your post looks bad.

My friendly advice in this case is to leave the spices aside and eat anything without spices you don't like. means you decide what you eat.

Bro, let me first say that many members of this forum are lousy, they like to be controlling and want you to do what they are pleased with. F*ck it! Anyone who is annoyed by a coloured text should skip your post, it is never by force. Though black is the best anywhere, you may still mix it for the best appearance the way you like it.

Regarding the vote, I can see that the opposition is slightly winning the vote, regardless, many others voted otherwise against the opposition to make it not entire.

We can make us eof a coloured text in typing our posts, but we have to understand that this does not necessarily have to be all the times, we may only colour the little part we want to be more noticeable from the content to our posts, it doesn't have to carry all the entire contents being coloured, also, it's something that we shouldn't do everytime, we can bolded the text in case of those that may not want to use a coloured text.

well to be fair comic books use colored text. but comics books generally have some sort of coherency to them.

some people complaining may not realize that they have mild color impairment.

lets say unimpaired color vision is a 9 or 10
lets say my impairment is a five
lets say the people complaining are better than me but not normal
maybe a 7 they see the colors but find it stress full to read.

I don't have a problem with using text colors in posts, but if it becomes a routine habit for most users then it will clearly be very annoying (especially if they use red, blue or other striking colors). In some of my posts, I also use color (but not often), especially in titles and sub-headings. This only emphasizes the point of the discussion, but I try to remain neutral in this case.

Halab seems to be a real expert and artist regarding his sample posting. But can anyone point me to a similar posting here in this forum? I am almost 10 years here and have never seen anything like this. but it would be a nice captcha idea. 


Are you saying that it is ok to use colored text in announcement threads, reviews and signature campaigns and is not confusing, but in a normal post it is confusing? sounds contradictory to me. BTW an announcement thread is in my opinion an important one for the announcing member, so I don't think he wants to confuse the readers. But still it is done and IMO very justified.

I selected "I do not support it" option of the poll. The reason is simple, the more posts we see in color the more we will get annoyed. And, when it comes to text formatting then you can check Halab's post to see how confusing it could be if someone uses wrong type of text in his/her posts.

I think it's normal to use colored text in reviews sometimes and in announcement threads or review + signature campaigns if the color helps to match the theme of the platform. However, in normal posting, use of colors can be quite confusing to many users.

I use colored text sometimes, usually when I want to use it as a warning.
You shouldn't use all bold and all caps in your post, but I don't mind posts with colored text.

I did this with colored text years ago and no one complained, why would they? I never complained about colored text and would love to see colored giveaways.

There's a reason books don't get printed in bright red and green font

I have to take out the highlights in your post as it annoys my eyes, as a forum member we should be responsible to our readers for what we are writing and how we write it because this is our means of communication with one another here, the test formatting and colored text has specific use to highlight the important texts on our posts.
If you want people to read and value your post then be responsible for how your post will look like.
