Ok guys, shortly after the round started last night the system I use to prevent suspicious attacks (Fail2Ban) noticed some irregular activity in the apache access logs - calls to system libraries I use to restart rounds, make repayments etc. (This is why some of you may have noticed the round increasing throughout the night - someone\group where attempting to inject the site.
As such, I have a function within Fail2Ban which locks down the bitcoind instance to ensure all funds are secured, until a time when I am around to investigate further.
So it actually worked as expected - in hindsight I should have built in the ability to add a notification to the site to inform you guys too.
The timing of my departure last night was perhaps not ideal - but I do log off around the same time every night ... I do have a day job too, which is why I only checked in during the middle of the afternoon - as soon as I realised what had been going on, the big refund was made immediately and I posted my first update here.
Apologies for the scare guys. Best of luck with your future ponzi adventures - remember, not all of us Ponzi operators are scammers!

Guys, I'm terribly sorry I noticed the site was compromised last night with users being able to query the DB and what appears to be able to use my PHP RPC library to directly reach my local bitcoin instance. All deposits have been refunded.

I am trying to nail down exactly what happened and I will post as much here later today. Initially it is looking like some of the code was available externally via HTTP requests. I'm tracking down which were successful and what the consequences of that are.
