... and why on earth are you running CGminer 3.1.0?

Same question.

I have experience only with R9 280X GPU's  with Windows 7 -64
(16 GPU,s in four rig (15 running and one GPU disabled -- waiting new fans))

CGminer 3.7.2 - Kalroth edition, works like charm (of course if settings are ok)

yes I have tried also others and with this Kalroth stability and result is best without any hassle (after find all many settings optimized). Previously MC now waffle...

It can find here: http://k-dev.net/cgminer/
Version 2014-02-04 (Windows)
3.7.2 but in run it show 3.7.3
Also it is good to least read  about  "Lantis' optimized scrypt binaries".

Please repair eu server!

My ping is too long to useast

I run Kalroth, on both my rigs, didnt see much change in rates, but what i did get was better options on adjusting my cards, since i run some cards that need 2 threads and some that need 1 thread.

Good Morning poolwaffle - I sympathise with the problem & really admire the effort you are putting in to make the pool the best it can be.

Just to try thinking outside the box for a moment and to try to gain an advantage by acting slightly differently to other pools - could you preempt a coin becoming the most profitable by tracking the growth, or decline, in profitability rather than the absolute profitability. That way it MAY be possible to jump on a coin before it is the obvious choice (and most importantly the other pools) and jump off just before the profitability dies?

Just throwing my thoughts out there Smiley

More often than not, the change in profitability is due to difficulty fluctuations rather than price changes (probably about 95% of the profitability is difficulty-based).  Meaning that you really can't get a head-start on it, as if you think the difficulty is about to drop, it hasn't yet, and its still unprofitable.  Only after the drop (when everyone sees it at the same time) is it profitable.

One thing that may be changing here in a minute, is I'm going to try locking difficulty to 512.  I'm worried a bit of our orphan problem is bandwidth based (unable to broadcast new blocks fast enough).  And some of that bandwidth has to do with stratum.  Higher difficulty shares = fewer shares (overall worth the same amount) = lower bandwidth.

Going to set difficulty to hard-locked 512 (will ignore anything you personally set via the d=xxx method).  Will leave it for a few hours and see how it goes.

For those of you with smaller miners (100 KHs or less), you'll definitely see higher variance, but overall your profits should remain the same.

Tried wafflepool for 3 days. Got only 0.024. It should be at least 0.03. :/

Rejects should be fixed on other endpoints (was bugged, is fixed).

We've been trying a ton of changes to increase profitability without a ton of luck.  We've got another test running right now (specifically on eu servers), hopefully that gives us some movement...

Essentially the problem comes down to orphaned blocks.  I think a lot of it has to do with almost all of the profit-switching pools acting very similarly (we all see some coin as profitable, we all switch, and block times due to the increased hashrate are closer to 5 seconds instead of 60).  This causes everyone to get a ton of orphans.  I assume its a problem on the other pools as well, since we're almost all pretty close to the same profitability (within 10-15% usually).  And this is with us sitting at about 30% orphaned blocks.

We've tried better connectivity, but we're still seeing a lot of orphans.  I've got a few more tricks up my sleeves, but the problem is, each of them requires a couple of hours of coding, and a couple more hours of waiting to see the results (and the results can be skewed by luck).

Long story short, not a simple problem.

We've got a few more blockchains synced, should see a few new coins pop up here in a bit as a gap measure (manually traded).

Rejects have indeed gone up, but its no worse for me than being on Middlecoin, and im still within 10% of the target, and thats even with the fact that i have one of my miners crash over night.

execpt reject and stales...profit has decreased 0.008 per mh

Change to the useast server, for the time being, and why on earth are you running CGminer 3.1.0?

So far since my change over to useast, both my miners are showing 0% rejects.

I changed my miners to use the USeast servers, and it have helped a lot on the rejcts and duplicates.

What is going on with eu server.
Reject rate rised from average 0.5% to 10-20% and even more.
Lot of stales, lot of duplicates, lot of job not found... etc...
Problem is in server end, not my rigs (only 8MH/s now on waffle)
Specially it looks that this is with some coin.
Previously I have not find this with waffle.

Had the exactly same thing with 3 of my rigs, went back to a more stable pool.

same thing here, it definitely has some problems

Same here, lot of stales on eu server, lot of duplicates.
What is going on?

poolwaffle,

Fix please miners sorting. When I split several miners by different users (like _1, _2) sorting become incorrect. I down to the bottom of the list. Looks like it sorts by average hash of the 1 average miner.

Thank you!
