Bitfinex really has no choice, its already been outlawed as a legal trading activity and they are a company with assets within the USA. I'm slightly surprised at the start they state they have no personal belief in the viability of the crypto currency, which goes above and beyond what I expected of the rest as just mostly a legal statement assuring investors and regulators they will avoid any participation. Risk vs reward for them its not even close to viable so really not surprising.
If I owned my own desert island or lived in somewhere independent like that I could examine it more closely but I already said I fear for the background efficiency case to any improvement for the value PTR might bring. Even if its a massive online crypto asset, the idea of just paying bills doesnt fit a growth prospect for me. For the people who are already rich, it may be some benefit. I would love to be wrong however and the people of Venezuela are better off and more able to do business and/or improve oil yields.

Maybe. But most Europeans can easily make bank transfers online if they have correct details with an IBAN. That's ridiculous.

This is an ICO: offering simple ways to pay is the most important thing they must do.

IBAN is not used in Russia.
There are many IBAN generators found in the web.
Anyway, I'm sure that if I go to my bank and say that I want to transfer Euros using the information on the Petro web page, my bank will put the missing information, if any.
