It will be too late for any of you, none of us will ever know what the price will do if it gets accepted because the price will be affected way before the acceptance and we will know even before the results comes to us.

When we read the news that it is accepted the price would have probably already skyrocketed. People with insider info will buy as much as they can afford and let other friends know afterwards, they will buy and let others know, with that going about when it reaches to us it will be way too late to do anything about it. Do no expect a sudden change whenever it is accepted because you will not profit from it, whales will.

If I were you OP, I would not expect much from ETFs since they won't impact the market that much because:
I'd like to say the same thing as well that don't expect too much with it but understand what really ETF's are. It will determine a small price pump but just like what others said that you have to know the details regarding it. Just like what's with bitcoin futures before, a lot of people doesn't have an idea about and is only thinking about the spikes. I also agree with those that said it will create a short term pump and later on we'll be back on where it used to be. Well, I don't know if SEC is playing with this they keep on delaying it.

Yeah it could very well be a simple kick to excite newbies if it does get approved but nothing like what they're expecting. It won't have a lasting significant effect that's for sure, considering that many crypto supporters aren't really in favor as well of etf.
Because of most of the newbies are only thinking that if ever ETF's would be approved there will be a rise in price.

They don't care about the other things or they don't even know what does that ETF really means. That's creating a domino effect for others so they are in favor of the ETF and only thinks that its the only hope that we've got to be able to make the price goes up again.
We will always have those people who are so fond of looking for every means to give themselves hope, which is a good thing, but sometimes, just focusing on one thing so much than focusing on things that are so much relevant, will always make people to lose their main focus and goal, while trying to see the outcome of something.

Bitcoin ETF may be a good thing or not, but I believe this is something that only time will tell but for what it is worth, the approval should over time usher us into some mainstream level of adoption anyway.

The price will up if etf is accepted because the investors feel more secure and they will put more funds on crypto, but it will be a temporary effect, if the etf being approved it can create a positive growth of crypto which will be good for all of us,but I am quite pessimistic about the etf proposal

There are several groups trying to create cryptocurrency ETFs.What will happen to the value of bitcoin if Bitcoin ETFs are approved ?

Bitcoin-ETF will provoke more speculation and manipulation of its price.

The price of Bitcoin will rise to 15-18K, then the investors will want to fix the profit.

There will be a swing, with a greater price of Bitcoin, if the market capitalization increases.

i think not instant after approve bitcoin price can reach to 15k dollar
but need wait time maybe until end year bitcoin price can reach to 20k dollar, maybe above 20k dollar, if bitcoin approve

If that happened we will probably see a small bubble forming because people are going to be very optimistic about the future of bitcoin if that happened, but that growth is not going to last and then like always we're going to see a crash and we will go back to levels similar to the ones that we have right now, that is why I do not understand why people want ETFs approved because were not going to get a lot of benefits out of it.

It is hard to say, how the all market will react after announcement of the verdict , no matter what it will be. The only solution and the right answer to your question would be,  that we we have to be patient, and wait for the verdict so that we can see for themselves how the market will react.

I lost a huge sum being bullish on the first ETF proposal I wont make the same mistake again I am cautiously optimistic for a price spike on a ETF passing
Many hype before about the ETF and I think now its over, what ever the decision is, people are already learn from this thing. Do we really need this thing? or its just another thing to hype this market. I still believe on bitcoin of course, but I don't want to feel the excitement again, so I will just wait for the final decision and I will keep on buying at a dump price of bitcoin.
We had the same hype about CBOE and before you know it, people started realizing it still does not have much impact on the market except that the market fell hugely afterwards.

Speculation is a norm in this market, and we will always get to see people say something they want to believe about the future, but as it is, I would rather just take the ETF approval as just another normal development in the market, and just allow the market to do whatever it wants to do.

If/when an ETF is approved I think the hype surrounding that news will result in an immediate maybe $1000 spike and perhaps a corresponding rally for a couple weeks. When the ETF actually goes begins I think it won't really create a huge move but just add continuous upward pressure to the price that will help strengthen the next bull run over the next couple of years.

another discussion would be the market reaction in which case the type of ETF wouldn't matter. the market may see the news as positive or a buy signal and start buying hence push the price up as it works with any other positive news.
Up till now, I still do not know why we still so much give so much attention to the price of bitcoin associated with ETF as the case may be, and I do not even believe any serious conclusion regarding that will be made this year, but absolutely because of the speculative nature of the market, people will always want to assume some possibilities for the market. The market has been doing well without ETF and I do not see any reason it should stop doing well without it in the long run.

I think when we have a Bitcoin ETF, that the price will go to 50.000 USD.
You must be wrong. Why not 100,000 USD or even millions ? I believe before an ETF gets approval, we are going to see prices to breach $30k levels too. I mean SEC may take some time and in between times bitcoin will prove its own capabilities.

It is not their fault! Since they have been hearing about some ETF approval all over the place, they just assumed it would be a saving grace for the market. Whether it is a saving grace or not, I guess time will tell. However, it is always normal for newbies to be enthusiastic about gains and will always want to come up with their own theory of how they expect prices to be at certain point in time.
I'm not blaming them, I saying that they are believing mostly that its the only way for the price increase of bitcoin. I've been there as well and I know what they feel but they have to understand that its not the only thing that we can hope for some heads up in the market. Decision will be coming out next year's Q1 so that's still a long way to go and I won't be shocked if they will delay it again.

We never know until things already happened, but in terms of price surely it will spike up after the approval, most expectators will begin to buy in when things shown positive, effects as investors will be more widely even new big whales will start playing buy and hold, those people who will accumulate and allow the price to pumped up are just waiting for the right timing after this decision.

Since there are many ETF's coming and another coming rejection the price will pump and dump and this crisis will not be going to stop until the ETF approves it. According to the SEC they need further improvements before SEC approves it. So, there's a chance for ETF to be approved in the future.

That is why there are big investors playing the market and keep investing every time the price drop and they don't let the price drop below $6k there is a strong support at $6k so, ETF will be approved, but we don't know when, if it happens I'm sure the price of bitcoin will burst increase and maybe the price will touch again back to $10k that is why many big investors keep buying before the SEC making decision.

As one example, when the CME launched BTC futures last year, the price crashed. It's all about timing.

price didn't crash after Futures launch. the price had gone up with a sharp rise before the launch in anticipation of positive news and then when the news came out itself it was time to take the profit out so the price dropped. it was more like a correction. and the the big bang happened to $20k.

Isn't that what he was referring to? Timing = sell the news = short the crap out of Bitcoin when CME (the largest exchange in the world) opens its markets.

If you also take into consideration that Bitcoin's worst months in terms of price action are all the first couple of months of each year, then it has only made people's urge to sell stronger. It applies to Q1 of 2019 as well, so what I'm doing is short Bitcoin around December 25 and buy back lower when most of the selling has been done. You can look it all up on the charts, they don't lie.

There will be temporary effect in the bitcoin prices but it will make the volatility range of the cryptos to increases because there will be lot of investors who will make the coins to bump and dump and in long term the price growth rate maybe decreased because the prices will swing at some particular range because of the big investors.

I am not really expecting anything too much from the whole ETF approval anyway, both in terms of it getting approved or the impact it would have on the price. The market will behave however it wants to behave with or without the ETF and even though we expect that in the long run, this would bring in more smart moneys into the system, but at the same time, we would not just expect some skyrocketing over night because of that.

Simply, we might experience a short term pump as a result of speculation, but that still does not change anything as a lot of people would expect, but surely, it would bring about a matured market in the long run.

Why, though? Fundamentally? Approval =/= launch, and approval =/= demand.

As one example, when the CME launched BTC futures last year, the price crashed. It's all about timing.

Bull rallies are born based on supply/demand imbalance, not hype. Hype comes later, after the price is already skyrocketing. If an ETF approval comes after an accumulation period where long term supply has been absorbed, then yeah, it could spark a legitimate new bull market. But if the bear market hasn't run its course yet, I wouldn't plan on it.

price didn't crash after Futures launch. the price had gone up with a sharp rise before the launch in anticipation of positive news and then when the news came out itself it was time to take the profit out so the price dropped. it was more like a correction. and the the big bang happened to $20k.
