I don't think that Tottenham has a chance to win the Premier League title and I see Aston Villa ahead of them as their record is cleaner. Now it might be looking worse for Tottenham since they won only 1 out of the last 5 games and this may change again, but I still think that over the course of the full 38 games Aston Villa could be ahead of them. But is it enough for the title? I think I agree that this would be a major surprise for everyone and Liverpool has become quite consistent although they had some close games recently. But the results were positive for them.
Since Ange Postecoglou took charge at Tottenham, they are having positive change massively. Their Tactical play and team's spirit are not like Tottenham before. This is the biggest factor of their resurrection this season. But this is indeed not enough for them to win the league. Their biggest issue is the quality of squad depth which has been proven poor previously that they collected just 1 win in 5 games after losing their key players due to suspensions and injuries.

I think Aston Villa is quite similar to Tottenham, but they just haven't had badluck of losing key players. It's true that a team's performance over the entire season is a more accurate reflection of their capabilities than a short-term streak. Aston Villa's cleaner record adds to their credibility, and consistency is indeed a key factor to stay competitive at the top. A team like Liverpool who are able to maintain positive results while not playing at their best is a kind of toughest team to compete with. Even in contested matches, demonstrates their resilience and experience at the top level. It's exciting to see whether Tottenham can regain momentum, if Aston Villa can maintain their form, and how Liverpool continues to navigate their journey.
Yes, it is true that since Ange Postecoglou coached the Tottenham club, they immediately achieved amazing results at the start of the season, but when they entered the middle of the season, Tottenham started to experience a slow decline. I initially thought that Tottenham could win the title this season because of their consistency at the start of the season, which was undefeated and they Also not playing in other competitions such as the Champions League and Europa League, they have enough time and energy to maintain their performance, but unfortunately Tottenham's consistency did not last long after they faced Chelsea, they began to have difficulty balancing their performance and continued to experience consecutive defeats in the Premier League. Yes, their current problem lies in the depth of the squad. When they lose players, they start to find it difficult to maintain a stable performance. For example when they faced Chelsea in Week 11, when they were forced to play with 9 players, they immediately found it difficult to carry out their rhythm of play, so they lost, even though at that time it was Chelsea. was not in good condition but Chelsea was able to take advantage of this opportunity, who would have thought that after that match Tottenham continued to experience bad results even though they were playing at home and just won against Newcastle, I hope that after this Tottenham can achieve another winning streak like at the start of the season.

In my opinion, Aston Villa has nothing in common with Tottenham because at the start of the season Aston Villa did not experience big improvements like Tottenham, but Aston Villa did it slowly until in the middle of the season Aston Villa still achieved good results, and has not experienced a decline but it is not yet certain whether Aston Villa will be able to survive until the end of the season because so far Aston Villa is still on the winning path with high confidence after beating Arsenal and Manchester City.

This season is different from the previous season because this season Aston Villa made a lot of progress in their squad and even managed to beat Manchester City. I think we will see a new team that will try to thwart Arsenal mission to win the title. But for now I still believe that Manchester City will be able to defend their title this season because they still give other teams the opportunity to step over them before the time comes for them to become leaders of the standings again.

I think City haven't been consistent enough this season. They will have difficulty defending the championship title. The biggest opportunities to win the title are Arsenal and Liverpool, who are currently playing quite well. Maybe even Aston Villa will surprise everyone with their extraordinary performance this season. I also think that coaches have a huge influence here. With the right coach, the team will find its best performance because it has found the optimal position and playing style for the character of each player.

It looks like Emery is here to make history for Aston Villa.  Grin  The last time Aston Villa achieved something in the Premier League or other cups in England was like more than a hundred years ago.

The point they are in now is very specialy for Aston Villa and the fans must be very excited about the potential of their team as well. I think that the Premier League is the toughest European league now. The competition is just very hard. It isn't going to be easy for Aston Villa to survive this season in even top 4 until the end of the season. But if Emery does this and even who knows wins the title he would surely be one of the legends for Aston Villa.

Emery is a really special manager. He has been very successful wherever he goes in the recent years.  Smiley
aston villa won the last English league in 1980/1981, not hundreds of years ago.
And the following year 1981/1982 aston villa won the champions league.
So the history of aston villa, a team with a pretty decent achievement.
Although this has been long but the name of Aston villa can never be erase in the history of English league and champions league cup winners.

Although the current owner is not a conglomerate of the caliber of the owner of manchester city, but with the arrival of emery was able to build a good team even though the transfer budget was not large like other top primiere league clubs.

Aston villa really made me lose out my game today. Although they have qualify already but I don't see them losing or playing draw with that team.

I remember this kind of a season from somewhere.  Huh  There was a season in the past in which Manchester City were even much worse than this situation in the Premier League. However they still captured the league title at the end by coming from really far behind.  Grin  Would this be another season in which they do the same?

I say why not? Because at the end of the day they still have the best squad in the league and the best manager who is Guardiola at the same time.

They are already doing great in the Champions League statistically and I believe that they will make things better soon here also.
Well you're right, about last season, Arsenal where dominating the league from the beginning of the season to midpoint and even became everyone's favorite to win the league at some point, but they bottle the league and gave Manchester City and opportunity to lift the trophy again, therefore i won't be suprised if same thing reoccur this season, cause if you look at the standings you'll see that City are not left out in the title race,  there's still hope for them to win it, since the gap between them and the current  league leaders is not very wide.

City might find it very tough defending the Champions League title but winning the EPL is not going to be very tough for them and i concour with your statement that they got the best players and manager currently, making them very strong potential winners of the EPL and sonner or later, maybe after the January window, we'll see them dominating the EPL table.
Let's see whether Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool can take advantage of Manchester City unstable situation to win the title this season or whether Manchester City will rise and take the top of the standings in the upcoming matches. Of course, Manchester City has a squad that is quite high quality in terms of their players and also has a coach whose quality is beyond doubt in bringing the team to win trophies. The big question is whether Arsenal can learn from last season failure or they still don't have the mentality to become champions this season.

This season is different from the previous season because this season Aston Villa made a lot of progress in their squad and even managed to beat Manchester City. The Aston Villa Club Board deserves appreciation for their decision to recruit Emery. There are many big names out there but not all coaches will be suited to every team's game. This means that if you are a great coach but you have a playing style that is different from the character of your players then it will not be optimal. So I think Emery has the same game tactics as Aston Villa's characteristics so the team can perform very well.
The players are spectacular, in addition they don't take lesser scores as results. The characteristics of the club this season is weigh beyond the usual levels, everyone understands the club's key projects and how they're thrashing oppositions in matches, I would say the presence of the new coach is the main reason behind them uplifting to good standards. Unai Emery deserves his flowers this season, he tried to nailed up the club's performance to heightened levels. They're 3rd position and they puts them exactly in the require position to face any opposition this season.

The last time Aston Villa won the League is in 1981, and the next season, they won Champions Cup (Now UCL).
If Aston Villa win the league this season, Emery doesnt only make history for Aston Villa, but also makes history for himself, as he is known as a sackable manager in his second season at any club he has ever managed, more or less. Cheesy This is why I have a big doubt that Aston Villa will even finish in top four. Emery is a good tactician, but Aston Villa dont have a good quality of their squad depth that makes them hard to compete against Manchester city, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Aston Villa is a big club who have won the league seven times, but the fact that they havent any trophy in the near past and got relegated at one point makes people forget about their stature. If Aston Villa win the league this season, it is indeed a big history for them, but it's more because they havent won it since a long time. The narrative would shift from recent struggles to a glorious resurgence that showcases the club's resilience and ability to reclaim its former glory.

Ange change the performance Tottenham to the extent they wanted to make Kane to think he made a bad choice of going to Bayern Munich but their main magic lies in their defensibe midfield. The second their defenders like Van de Ven and Madders their defensive midfielder got an injury, everything turn translucent to Tottenham, that was when they made their first lost against Chelsea and subsequently fall down from the top 4 and now are struggling to go back but if they keep the current performance, they will get their in time but the way others are fighting will only make the chance more difficult to climb.

Aston villa have become concrete so hard to break, they didn't allow Manchester City to pass through to meet up with Arsenal and when Arsenal had match with to remain top with them on the table, they didn't let them have it too which have Liverpool and opportunity to become the king king of the Premier league for now and that has also earned them some points to stay close to Arsenal and Liverpool, if they win their next game and others didn't, they will top the table before Manchester City.

I can say this season is the most competitive season in the premier league, the managers of those big teams knows, unlike last season when Arsenal was leading the table till after January when they were overthrown by Manchester City and won the league from them, this season is different, there are more serious teams who are ready to win the EPL tittle, and are more despirate for it than Arsenal or City.We have Aston Villa and Tothenham who are really fighting it hard to be in the top four this season.Liverpool and Arsenal are ontop, followed by Aston Villa and Manchester City, but the table could still turn after next weekend, and it might be turning like that till the righful owner of the tittle emerges,we haven't known who will win it because almost all the teams in the top four are very serious to win it.

Well it's too early to make a decision for anyone. The league isn't even half way and the top positions are highly contested. There's just 4 points difference between Liverpool, currently the first team in the table and Manchester City, the defending champion and currently fourth on the table. Aston Villa and Arsenal are too close.
Manchester City certainly has a more balanced team with the leadership of Pep Guardiola with gems like Alvarez and Haaland. And can turn the table on their side in just a few matches. We might not even see a clear winner till the last week of the league.

I think genuinely that this seasos is nnot like other seasons; Because Manchester City are clearly struggling with injuries and poor form from players (most espcially the defense line). Can Manchester City bounce back, yes ofcourse; but this season its not certain yet as many small teams are evern stronger

A city win again Crystal Palace can further proof your point though; we wait

I didn't expect Aston Villa to perform so well this season. The previous season they were only ranked 7th in the standings. I think this result shows that in the first half of the season Aston Villa was able to appear consistently in every match. And this is a very good indication and there is a possibility that they will get the Premier League title even though it is really beyond everyone's predictions. But I'm sure everyone thinks Aston Villa will deserve to be in the top 4 until the end of the season and will get a place in the Champions League next season.

I think the final wake up game that Aston Villa played was the one against Manchester City. I thought I could not trust my eyes when I had a look at the game statistics. Aston Villa only won 1-0, but they outplayed Manchester City on all fronts and I don't know when Manchester City was dominated that much. It was a shocker. After that game I thought that this team is not going to have weak performances out of a sudden and lose several games in a row. I am pretty sure that they will be around at the top of the Premier League this season.
I must say that I am shocked by the results of the game. Arsenal played against Aston Villa, it was a game in which all attention was on seeing if, after Aston Villa had defeated Manchester City, they would also be able to defeat Arsenal, something that wouldn't be easy, but it wasn't impossible. and that's what happened on the field, Aston Villa defeated Arsenal and this is something that could really harm Arsenal in the race for the title, I don't know what the hell is happening with Arsenal, even though they have a good squad they couldn't score a goal in that game today, they didn't look like a team that is fighting for the title, on the contrary they looked like a team that is fighting to stay in the top 4. for Aston Villa this victory puts them in third position and they can fight to finish in one of the 4 positions or become champions, I no longer doubt that.

The game between Villa and City was really much anticipated to see City being the victor but a whole lot of people turned numb when Villa netted in the first and only goal almost at the injury time of the game. Twas then that it was realized that Villa had never lost a home game for a number of weeks and City didn't even have the power to break the jinx, for City and most football fans, it was a bad night because the hopes were high and the expectations were clear. City on normal grounds are a better side to Villa but things took turn. Villa dominated the game from the start to the finish and it was really heavy on Guardiola because again his team has not been able to secure a win.

It could harm Arsenal later on, which doesn't come as a surprise when a team loses a game, but it did not come as a surprise at all as a team that can beat Manchester City, can also beat any other team.

The best of it all is that for us Premier League fans the season and the table couldn't be more exciting. We don't have one team that is 15 points ahead after 16 games and it has barely been that close among the top teams. The very best teams are at the top, they are separated by only 4 points from 1st to 4th and Manchester City is the team that's running behind the others, which is also promising for some more action to come this season.

Newcastle's performance has me baffled, it's strange how they are doing it, I actually had a lot of hope for this team, because things have done very well, at first, but now I don't know, I think There can be many personal problems, or problems with the coach, but something must not be very right, in fact I don't know if you have seen the Newcastle movies , which is from a few years ago, which is called Goal, it has two parts, really Things can be very strange if we see that their performance has dropped like a free fall, the wins do not look good for any team, it may be that they fail once, but two wins in a row is a reason to do better, or that the ocsas are already getting out of control.
Newcastle's current form is so unexpected, especially considering the initial promise they showed last season and early this season. I think their current situation is caused by the fact they are a well-unticipated team now, similar to Brighton, because of their achievement last season. Another factor is that they arent used to have a splitted focus, as they have to play Champions League that makes them not really settled on their new challenge.

I dont think they have personal issues,  because they are well-known for their compactness on and off the field. It's common for teams to go through rough patches, and the reasons behind a sudden decline can be multifaceted. I hope Newcastle can address these challenges and bounce back to their earlier form. Maybe Newcastle need to sign 'Santiago Munez' to strengthen their squad and add a strong mentality of player like he has shown in the 'Goal' movie. Cheesy

Lol, very good one, I'm sure he would be the ideal player for Newcastle, in any case what you say is true, maybe they need a good player to help them get out of where they are, the methodology is something that they can influence a lot, they me They are surprising, they have had some ups and downs, I don't know what has happened to them, if it is a lack of concentration or something like that, but I think that they can do something wrong if they play a better game, I would think that if they do it better they will win, because the PL is in a peak of emotions, many somewhat Strange results are being presented, and they have to be with Chelsea, Newcastle, some strange results, but worthy of a great PL that shows us a great way for things to be seen in a different way , Personally, I think that when things are being done well, they still need to improve and improve in the football they play, because facing teams like City , Arsenal, everyone has their high level and any team can surprise, no team in the PL wants descend.

Now things can be very affected for a team like Newcastle , but at the moment Newcastle are playing against Milan in the UCL, and that will be a dream match, I have a lot of faith in Newcastele and everything they can do do, in this sense I am a person who may think that when some good changes are made in the team they can make a difference, but we can also conclude that this format that Nwewcastle has is not bad, it is a good format that has a lot to offer improve, but it is going on a very good path, the players have obviously made mistakes, but it could be said that those mistakes are lost and better reuses can be obtained, the Newcastle coach can make the difference if he puts himself in context what to do a good strategy and thus it can generate a more dynamic Football that can generate more goals in favor, that is what we are looking for , scoring more goals, because by scoring goals you win.

Newcastle United confirmed starting XI v AC Milan: £20m star recalled as Martin Dubravka starts

Quote
Newcastle United's starting XI against AC Milan features one change from Sunday's 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Champions League Group F permutations are simple. If the Magpies win and Paris Saint-Germain drop points away to Borussia Dortmund, then a place into the last 16 of the competition is secured.

But regardless of PSG's result, avoiding defeat against the Italian giants at St James' Park will at least guarantee a place in the Europa League. Lose, and United drop out of Europe for the second half of the campaign altogether.

Milan too have everything to play for. If they win and PSG lose in Germany, then it will be Stefano Pioli's side who clinch second spot in the group.

Here's Newcastle United's starting XI and subs in full:

Manchester United are also a very interesting team this season. "Inconsistent" might be a better word to tell their condition I guess. They can win against Chelsea at Old Trafford but at the same time they can lose to Bournemouth at the same place by even a huge score like 3-0.  Huh  The point difference with top 4 is 6 now. Finishing the season in top 4 will be crucial for Erik ten Hag. If the board don't see the team in the Champions League next season then I don't think Erik ten Hag would stay longer.

I'm talking like he will last until the end of the season of course. Who knows maybe he would get sacked earlier depending on results.

They really are inconsistent, I agree with you. They beat a tougher team but stumble on a smaller team according to your example. Their next competitor in the Premier League is going to be Liverpool by the way. It is going to be played at Anfield also. I see a really worrying scenario for Manchester United already.

I would like to remind you first about the last game between these teams here. Liverpool obliterated them by 7-0. What a game that was!

Manchester United were even in a condition that we could call better than this season. While Liverpool are this strong in home games (7W in 7 games) now I won't be expecting much from Manchester United to do.

About the Liverpool match I'm not expecting much from Manchester United either. I don't see much difference between the previous season and this one now.

Moreover Liverpool are performing much better this season because they had difficulties for a long time in the previous one. Now they are in a title race and taking on a Manchester United which are in trouble. Manchester United defending is quite poor I'm afraid. I don't think they can resist Liverpool much because of that. Nunez is still not good enough at finishing but I don't expect Liverpool to have big problems on scoring anyway.
