Liverpool played without several of their star players in today match because Salah, Nunez had to rest due to their injuries so Kloop used Gakpo, Diaz and Elliot. Liverpool scored their third goal again in today's match where Diaz managed to break into Luton's goal in the 71st minute.

I think being 2 goals behind will be quite difficult for Luton to catch up. Moreover, the match has entered the 72nd minute, where Liverpool are increasingly in front to secure victory in this match. Without Salah and Nunez Liverpool's game is also quite impressive where they have managed 26 shots so far.

Even me I didn't for once think that Luton will be able to score Liverpool the first goal let alone holding the goal till the end of first half but however Liverpool is very lucky to have realized themselves on the second half of the match and by equalizing the goal on the 56 minutes of the second half and was able to still score another goal on the 58 minutes, perhaps that means it took only three minutes for Liverpool to score two goals, although Luton performance on this second half is nothing like there performance on the first half because they were very consistent on the first half but this second half is totally not encouraging for them at all and if they continue with there poor performance Liverpool is going to score more goals.

I don't think Liverpool should have any problem in defeating Luton Town despite the injury worries to some of their key players since the match is taking place in Anfield, I believe Luton Town shouldn't be that formidable and the vociferous fans of Liverpool would cause a problems for the visitors though relegation battling teams like Luton Town always play with with full strength and fight with full force to avoid relegation yet I don't think the home side would give room for any complacency as the battle for the title challenge is getting hot Liverpool would aim a maximum 3 points.

One reason is that De Bruyne and Gundogan had the season of their lives as a midfielder duo. It was unbelievable how these two guys together assisted goals, scored goals themselves and took control over the game. They fit perfectly together because De Bruyne has the ability to push the game forward while Gundogan has this defensive element in his game. They complemented each other like it is rarely seen ever.

Real Madrid had a strong midfield for a long time in the same way when you compare it to Kroos and Modric. However, they were not equal to Gundogan and De Bruyne, yet they complemented each other in another perfect way.

This is what Manchester City is lacking a bit this season. The game isn't quite as creative.

This will be a tough game, despite Liverpool having most of their top players injured is not enough qualification for Luton to bag the win against their opponent. One thing for sure, Liverpool is a strong team and would not allow themselves to be beaten by a team not even in the top 10 race on the table.

Yes, sometimes football is a game of luck but I don't see Liverpool taking any chance of losing the game most especially when it is a home game (Anfield)

Good start from Liverpool, with the way they have started the game, it will not be easy for Luton to win the home team.
Luton continue their battle to leave the relegation zone. To these small teams, they have targets against these big teams set by their sponsors. Luton stand to gain a huge bonus from their sponsors and good three points to give them some hope they they can make it out of the bottom three.

The storm of injuries that Liverpool faced basically made them not as strong as their complete squad. Of course Liverpool can dominate the match, but the attack they build looks weak because of the lack of attackers who have good finishing. Nunez and Salah are not registered for this match, they also do not have Alisson as their best goalkeeper and so far Luton have a 0-1 lead.

Liverpool is certainly very under pressure because they cannot afford to lose points to stay at the top of the standings. But Luton looks like they will fight to steal the points that will help them move away from the relegation zone. I believe Liverpool can score goals, but they have to be patient enough and make more efforts. But if Luton's defense is calm, Liverpool will likely lose points in this match.

Luton Town has scored the first goal in the match, this means Liverpool need a come back and additional goals to win this match, I am hoping Liverpool will level up and score more goals today because even in the first leg, Luton scored first and they end up playing draw at the end of the match.

Let us say that in this season, Liverpool have the best record of being the team good at coming back to winning the game but from the looks of things now, I see they are playing under intense pressure; not just that they are currently losing at Anfield but if the score ends like this, their position at the top of the perch will be threatened with Arsenal and Man City looking on keenly with interest.
We can't over look the fact that most of their players are out injured as that's also a factor to consider and though Luton might be a team not really much of a threat, they can still prove deadly. Also, according to stats, out of the 14 times they've met, Liverpool have won 8 with six draws, maybe Luton will be looking to make this their first win at the Anfield?

Currently Luton is leading with 1:0 on the12 minutes of the first half, actually they are very lucky with this early goal they scored because it will give them more energy to perform more than the way they are currently performing, Liverpool seem to have been making too much mistake on this match because if they had been more consistent they would have actually be the one to score instead of Luton because currently they have more possession than Luton but the difference is that Luton has the ability to utilize any opportunity they have, although with how the match is currently playing I think Liverpool will surely equalize because they are more in a good shape than Luton.
