Christopher Nkuku has to be one of the most unlucky players in the EPL because since his signing to Chelsea, he has barely featured in 5 games in a row for Chelsea and he is already nursing a second injury of his Chelsea career which is certainly bad business for the club. I hear rumours that Victor Osimhen is discussing a possible move to Chelsea. I don’t know how much truth there is to the story but I would really love to see Osimhen play in the premier league.

For Aston Villa I doubt them even though in their travel records they look quite good but I think they will give up when they meet Manchester City. On the other hand, Manchester City is very strong, they have a strong mentality, even the return of Kevin De Bruyne is a positive value in their strength in the second half of this season. Of course, Manchester City next match will be at Newcastle united headquarters, where this match will be quite tough if you look at the opponent. Even though Newcastle United performance is not very stable this season, if we look at the strength of the home match, it is possible that Howe will be able to bring his team to a good performance in the match against Manchester City.
For the Champions League or Europa League competition, it looks like Aston Villa can still be because looking at their performance and the determination of Emery in formulating their squad to be more competent as a dark horse, they actually deserve to be taken into account in the Europa League competition but for the championship problem it is very difficult to do because after all, seeing the conditions that are happening now for them it looks like it is very difficult to compete with big clubs even though their current performance is quite impressive but on the other hand the strength of their squad is not too adequate with the tight schedule for the problem of fighting for the championship.

I think until now the conditions are still the same where big clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool are the most likely to be at the end of the competition. Arsenal still have momentum but when compared to Manchester City and Liverpool I think the probability is still below for Arsenal.

Who is watching the EFL cup semi final?

Chelsea are losing to Middlesbrough away from home. I will still put this match firmly in the grips of the blues cause it's a 2-legged tie. They could lose tonight and still go through in the reverse fixture; that's a good safety net to have.

Pochetinno may have wanted to wrap the tie up as early as possible to avoid fatigue for league matches, but it's a semi final tie, it's always going to be a tough one regardless of the opponents.

We cannot conclude yet on the clubs that will be consistent in the title race because I still see the top four on the table capable of winning league this season. We don't know the challenges that any of the top four clubs on the table will face as time passes by and that is why I will not conclude yet because the season is still young. Injury is what declines the performance of a club as we have seen it in Man city case and some other clubs, the worst of it all is that a club should become weak towards the end of the season due to injury on the key player, that club will face her worst time because there will be no hope for the title race. Liverpool, Arsernal, Aston Villa and Man city, any of these club might face some more challenges in the future, which will limit their chances of winning the league.

I think this time there might be a little surprising ending to the season. Of course, the top teams are going to stay at the top if nothing bad happens like bad injury situations or anything like that. But I think Aston Villa might actually surprise us in this season. Imagine them finishing at the top of the table. And by saying at the top of the table, I mean them finishing in the top four. That is definitely going to be incredible for them. Other than that we all know which teams are actually going to finish towards the top. We just don't know that order then they are going to finish in.

Likewise with us, for me the competition for the title is still open for several teams, not just Liverpool and Manchester City.  because, this competition still has many matches left for all teams to play. If Tottenham experiences a decline, whatever the cause, doesn't mean other teams won't also experience the same thing. for example, currently Arsenal is also experiencing a decline in their ranking even though they are actually not playing their matches too badly. However, for one reason or another, Arsenal experienced ups and downs. and that is very normal for a team, even though Arsenal actually experienced the same problems as in the previous season. However, because this competition has only presented 20 matches, there is still a chance for Arsenal to win the title. Likewise with Spurs, they have the same opportunity if they are able to get back on track. at least, finishing in the top four is their target.

As for City, their chance is quite big to retain the League trophy. City has one match postponed, while Liverpool and Arsenal have played 20 matches. Pep can make good use of De Bruyne's return to the main squad. he can also return to implementing the same system as last season, with his core players. Even though he lost Gundohan, Pep has a replacement. City just have to play their matches consistently and beat Liverpool in their second match this season. This applies to Jurgen Klopp's squad, they must continue to progress with their positive trend until the time comes to meet Manchester City. and yeah, the journey of the team we mentioned in this thread is still quite long and exciting. It could be that Arsenal and Spurs are having difficulty getting back on track. or, Liverpool and City will experience a decline. So, nothing is certain at this time. after all, the points are not that far apart.  and, let's just enjoy it.

I mean I understand why people are saying which teams are going to finish at the top and also predicting the positions that they are going to finish in.
We all have a general idea of which team is going to finish towards the top. The thing is, we don't know which team is going to finish in which position.

About Manchester City, I think we can say that they are definitely finishing in the top two positions. The question is if they are going to be able to defend the English Premier League title successfully or not. I think they should be able to. But looking at the competition, it is not going to be very surprising if they cannot, to be honest.

I don't know if it is a good idea to make the assumption about Manchester City and Liverpool being the top contenders for the title. Because this season a lot of teams have been playing well and there have been some unexpected results. I don't think anyone thought Aston Villa was going to be in the second position. And I don't think people actually predicted that Tottenham was going to lose some matches consistently when they were at the top of the table for quite a long time towards the start of the season. So anything can still happen. Manchester City is definitely going to be in the title race. But I think the other teams are also not going to give up.
18 matches left with all top five clubs are doing impressive job in this one of the most competitive season of Premier League in recent years with nothing is predictable who is going to win Liverpool is currently leading with 45 points and Tottenham is at the 5th spot with 39 points and after few bad weeks they are also back in good performance and doing good job for having better season Manchester City is also roaring for the fightback after injuries and loses good touch and Arsenal is having some trouble but still capable of fight back surprise package Aston Villa is also good and have fair chance for the staying into good touch for their Champions League spot.

Few teams are losing their touch but still we all know how things works in Premier League and every match and its points count because things can take any change in any game like we have for the Arsenal and now mostly peoples favouring Liverpool and Manchester City as main contenders but still all are in and sharp for doing their best.

Liverpool team is currently in form due to Mohamed Salah, with a unique team in his absence, though wins, but the margin of victory will not be wide. Still, the Liverpool team is roaring past moments, as without Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool team, the Liverpool team seems empty.  Despite the team manager's best efforts, if the right players are not on the field, it will be difficult to win against other teams, or the Liverpool team may lose points.
I disagree, they do have Salah and he is putting up a great performance and he is a great player I am denying any of that, he is definitely a great player and has contributed a ton this season. However, he is expected to do that anyway, if you remove him, you are not going to put me instead of him trying to wobble around, Liverpool does not spend all that much on transfers usually unless they have to, and I believe that if they are going to lose Salah one day, they will put someone decent.

Everyone said if Mane leaves they will be terrible, he left, Diaz got his place, and Liverpool is at the top of the table anyway, it is not like we are talking about something that would be all that confusing to handle, it is just not that easy to handle.
Club like Liverpool never been depended on one player as they are having good squad and few players can give better performance and with this all now they are already in search of another suitable player with rumours are working most chances at the end of this season Mohammad Salah is going to join Saudi League even these are currently just rumours but still they are working, and we have few players those are capable of replacing him here at Liverpool but still it's not going to happen quickly because now they are going to be stayed at the top level for few years with their current squad is surely one of the best so they needed top quality player for this as well.

Jürgen Klopp is doing good job and his few signings are giving positive performance which will make things at the good level in case of Mohammad Salah will leave Nunez and Gokpo both are doing good and improving their performance and quality as well.

After all, the competition for the Premier League title always has surprises to follow from season to season.
If last season there was Newcastle, maybe this season Aston Villa will be among the teams projected to be the strongest candidates to win the Premier League.
Why do you even think Aston villa might win the league this season? Seriously am counting the  club which you mentioned above out, I know premier league is just kind of unpredictable, but maybe Aston villa can win the league another season, but not this season. Aston villa performed well at the beginning of the season, but there performance have really dropped lately, they are struggling with teams weaker than them, just the same way Arsenal performance have dropped. You not mentioning Liverpool or Manchester City to win the league, am surprised to see the two clubs you mentioned.

Aston Villa improved considerably these years, yet I doubt they could overtake all of Liverpool and Arsenal and Manchester City by the end of the season. They might pick a place in Champions League, they might be able to be above of one or two of these teams but definitely not above all them.
From April until the end of the season, Aston Villa games will be harder than now since they will face Manchester City, Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea and Liverpool.

I don't think they will get any club in the Premier League now that can win the league title if it is not Manchester City or Liverpool this season, Arsenal are playing weak games, and Aston Villa can't compete with Liverpool and Manchester City if they meet each other now, and Manchester City players are coming back, and I believe Guardiola will try his hardest to win the league this season again because he is one of the best coaches in the world and is very talented, any club will like to have him as manager.

Manchester City's upcoming match against Newcastle will not be tough for them to win because numerous of their players have returned and Newcastle cannot compete with them; the only difference is that Newcastle will have a greater advantage than Manchester City because they are playing at home. Let's see if Manchester City can top the league table this summer, since I feel they can if Liverpool mistakenly loses a point.
Manchester City is the leading team to win the championship trophy this season, although currently they are still behind Liverpool and Aston Villa in the standings table, but I think Manchester City will return to leading the standings in the next few matches. Now what the competing teams have to focus on is maintaining their consistency in every match they play. Like Liverpool, they look very ready to become champions this season, but they have to see that the road to becoming champions is still quite long, so they must not lose points in every match they play because it will have fatal consequences if that happens.

For Aston Villa I doubt them even though in their travel records they look quite good but I think they will give up when they meet Manchester City. On the other hand, Manchester City is very strong, they have a strong mentality, even the return of Kevin De Bruyne is a positive value in their strength in the second half of this season. I highly doubt they are anymore. They have made so many mistake in the first half of the Premier League that in these 15-16 remaining games that are to be played until it ends I don't see them holding the Premier League title anymore as Liverpool seems like the strongest contender to hold the title this year.Arsenal I exclude it as they are not consistent, also Aston Villa which are not consistent either and the only teams fighting for the title for me remain Liverpool and Manchester City,Liverpool has a comfortable points advantage that they are more than capable to hold until the season ends so I think it is extremely difficult for Manchester City to have a chance this year.

Everyone will see whether Liverpool's performance really gets worse without Mohamed Salah, because currently Liverpool should still be considered a fairly strong team in the Premier League. So that makes their current rivals continue to improve their respective lines of players well enough to be able to catch Liverpool in the upcoming match this week. But this week I think Liverpool will still win because their opponent is not the strongest rival here.
Mo Salah absence will definitely affect this Liverpool side. We saw their game against Arsenal and it was evident that there was no real threat in the attack. I think navigating life without him might be something Liverpool will have to get accustomed to if they are serious about winning the EPL this season. Klopp is an experienced manager. I trust him to handle the situation very well. Liverpool have different options that can play there; Elliott, Gakpo, and Diogo Jota. They can also change their system to something that other players can adapt to in the meantime.

I think we have seen Liverpool win many games in the absence of both Mane and Salah in last years African cup of nations. Klopp is definitely going to be creative to get the results he wants in his absence.
If not for the African cup coming up, many of the stars like Mo Salah wouldn't have been absent. He is one of the top goal scorers for Liverpool right now and his input in any match I'd always phenomenal. We can see that during their last match against Arsenal.
It is just inevitable for him to be absent in the national side, else,  am sure he would retire from international football and focus more on club football if he wants to remain a dominant force for Liverpool.
Mohammad Salah is just 31 years old, and he is having good desire for playing his country Egypt with having dream of winning trophies as well even things are not favourable but still he is doing good job for the country and club as well with no intention of having early retirement from any side now he is going to Egypt for having his three games which are going to play in January and Liverpool is going to miss him but good thing happening they are not having tough games which create any problem for them with after thing how things will go it's not sure, but he is one of the best in current era who is doing his best in all in his absence we will have good replacements in Liverpool which can give their best and keep things at the top level.

The same Aston Villa that beat Manchester City yet you think the closet ally to compete with the Premier League is the same Manchester City. Arsenal might have been disappointment the past weeks but what is even there differences with Arsenal when the both share the same point. The two team team lost the same games just that Arsenal failure is just starting now but Manchester City has had their rough time some months ago but Arsenal still.has chance to recover.

Arsenal has more chance of winning their next match against Crystal palace than Manchester City facing Neecin their next match but my problem is that Arsenal has fumbled, they weren't supposed to lose much than they did and if Manchester city win Newcastle before they recover, then they have more work to do else that table will slip out of their fingers and it's going to be painful considering how they have given many people in the beginning of the season.

So this is how Arsenal will be exempted from the premier league title race after awful matches that led them to lose a lot of games. It is so sad to see that a team many thought would have been a contender for the title this season already falling behind in points and no more occupying the top spot positions on the table. Arsenal still have some hope just like other teams now, I hope they can wake up and face the title challenge again before it gets too late for them. This their inconsistency is now becoming something serious and made them lost a title last season, a repeat of it this season will be a big blow on the coach and the entire team. It is better they look into this and catch up with other teams for the title race now.
Well you shouldn't be suprised cause it was bound to happen, they did it last season and I was pretty sure that it would happen again this season, if Arsenal were to win the EPL trophy it would've been last season but they missed their chances, Arteta really got good plan for this team, he's a good coach no doubt but he still need some very good players included in this squad, he's spent alot in the midfield area last summer and I think he needs to focus more on attack this time around.

Well the only hope Arsenal have right now, is qualifying for the UCL, because I don't see them winning any trophy, they might still be in the UCL tournament but the title is far from them, so Arteta's focus right now should be on the EPL, if they could try to win Iike 3 to 4 straight matches then I think their chances for the title race would be revived, left for me I doubt they'll win the EPL trophy, however let's wait and see how this season unfolds.
Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta is stobborn,he doesn't take what people tell him that's why Arsenal will continue to suffer, and very soon, their players will be tired of trying to win the league and it's not working. They would want to go places they can win trophies, leagues and games.Saka, Martinelli,Odegard, all of them would desire move outside the emirate stadium and it will keep Arteta in a position they would want to sack him.Last summer, they backed him up with money,to sign players he feel can make the team win trophies, and they went ahead to sign Rice, but what the team needs now is a solid left back,a midfielder that can take the position of injury proned Partey and a sharp attacker which can be reliable.

Arsenal are currently getting poor results which I admit is embarrassing for a side that showed so much promise at the beginning of the season but this is the game and things like this happen all the time. Luckily for them, we are already in the January transfer window, Arteta needs to add some crucial signings that will make quick impact as soon as possible and get the team back to winning ways again. This is one of those times the fans need to support and encourage the their team and players to keep fighting.

With the presence of Kevin de Bruyne Manchester City performance will surely improve a lot because it was because of the absence of Kelvin de Bruyne that made Manchester City performing a bit poor on the premier League that made them enter the fourth position on the table but however it seems they have started peaking form because after there wining they were able to move from were they are to the third position they are now, so perhaps considering there points difference Manchester City has a great chance of correcting there mistakes, perhaps all they need right now is consistent in there wining and they will become the premier League top one.

In essence, the competition for the title will return only about Liverpool and Manchester City because ya, of course Manchester City will be able to improve its performance for the better with De Bruyne return from a long injury. But for the next Premier League match, in fact Manchester City will play away against Newcastle. With the opposition likely remaining a strong opponent then ya, it still looks like De Bruyne will not play the full 90 minutes because of course, a slow process is still needed so that De Bruyne no longer suffers injuries.

Haaland's injury seems to be making Man City difficult. Since losing against Aston Villa, Haaland has not appeared. This makes Man City weak, and if it doesn't improve soon it might make it difficult for Man City to compete in the UCL or in the EPL. Man city has not found a player who can replace Haaland at this time. Although indeed in several matches Man City always won after Haaland was injured against Aston Villa.
Yes, you are right about this, Manchester City did seem to struggle when Haaland was injured. Man City's dull front line seems to remind Haaland of his important role, because without Haaland the team feels like it has lost its life if there are no key players. It looks like Pep Guardiola has to get used to it and look for a replacement for Haaland for a while, to stay focused and consistent when Manchester City's key player suffers an injury like this, so that the team's performance in the future still looks good and of high quality. That way, I'm sure they can definitely win the match in the next UCL and EPL matches.
If Haaland can't play, they can actually apply the strategy where they haven't brought Haaland, which is to play without a pure striker or play with a false nine, but it's not easy because they also need to familiarize themselves with that strategy again.
But in my opinion it is not a big problem as long as KDB is in the squad again, because for me the life of the Manchester City game is in the role of KDB. This was very pronounced when Manchester City played without KDB. Usually when a team loses a striker but they have a player with the ability to read the game well, they will be able to play well too. The loss will be felt, but not that much.
I agree with you, such a thing happened last season when Manchester City played against Arsenal, it was Kevin De Bruyne who scored 2 goals against Arsenal, and it was in the dying minutes that Haaland scored one goal for Manchester City.
I think the reverse is the case here because Manchester city are kind of better without their main striker(Erling haaland) at the moment since he got injured they have been winning some of their games across both in the league and champions league matches, reason being that with the style of play of Manchester city right now, it is difficult to withstand their attacking force, because you wouldn't have any striker upfront to mark which makes it difficult for the opponents to stop the manchester city forwards from scoring more goals from any angle.

Arsenal is still one of the teams that will make the competition for the Premier League title even tighter. With a number of matches still to be included in the calendar, Arsenal is still able to catch up on points from the top three teams because now Arsenal, who is in fourth place, is only 5 points behind Liverpool.
Liverpool, Manchester City are strong teams. However, there are times when during the remainder of the season they will make small mistakes or there will be times when their luck is not always on their side.

Arteta understands that Arsenal had bad luck at the end of the season. A number of Arsenal fans are also very aware of Arsenal's condition.
After all, the competition for the Premier League title always has surprises to follow from season to season.

Even with or without Salah I knew Arsenal can't win the match cause the team lacks the effort to push through, I don't know what's happening to the structure of the team cause during the early season Arsenal was not like this and it seems they'll continue playing like this each match day, Arteta should change the key starters if he really want the team to push forward this season, and seeing the premier league season now Manchester city and Liverpool will definitely kick Arsenal out from the game if they're not careful and now Bruyne is back so we might likely expect more from Manchester city.
The return of bruyne has a very significant impact on Manchester city as his absence has greatly been felt, even if the team has been doing well without him, there's still a good difference in their performance when he's around and so now that he's back along side Haland, I'm optimistic about their performance both in the UCL and the premier league.
The hope is like that, but we'll see if De Bruyne immediately steps on the gas and  shows  that Man City really needs him. Because he returned to the field in a newly healthy condition from injury De Bruyne  didn't want to be careless. We know that being too aggressive and not considering many things will not make Man City fix  the problem. the point is apart from Man City target which can't wait to get back into the championship race De Bruyne fitness needs to be paid attention to.

With the opposition likely remaining a strong opponent then ya, it still looks like De Bruyne will not play the full 90 minutes because of course, a slow process is still needed so that De Bruyne no longer suffers injuries.
