The EPL competition has become tighter this season because it does not only involve Arsenal and Manchester City, but also Liverpool and Aston Villa, although there may still be hope for Arsenal, of course it will make it difficult for them if the results are always bad in the next few matches, Arsenal must be able to learn more there were many failures last season so as not to slip from the top of the standings and if you want to chase the EPL this season.

Manchester City not in good shape, they're volatile in actions and its really threatening and frustrating. Losing points is easy but gaining them back is very challenging and most teams ended in deep regrets and pains from the humiliating defeats witnessed, they will do better in upcoming matches without having any difficulty, it's just time that will tell. Arsenal have dropped down to meet Manchester City and they will continue to dropped if they don't stand their ground in matches. Mikel Arteta is frustrated and doesn't have an idea on operating and handle the entire situation happening in Emirate stadium.

During the break in the first half of this season Chelsea have collected at least 28 points and are in 10th position, this would be impossible if Chelsea wanted to win the title this season and of course anyone would be skeptical of such beliefs.
No matter how good the changes made by Chelsea during this season, they will never be able to increase their chances of getting close to winning the title, maybe Chelsea will only be like last season, which only finished the Premier League competition in 12th position.
What Chelsea need to do is how they can play well and that way their future music will be able to compete and at least occupy position in the top 4 or top 5 standings.

But from what @Mayor of ogba said it doesn't make sense because Chelsea is in the top 10 so there is no risk that it might be relegated from the Premier League.
And of course there are other competitions that Chelsea can take part in besides the English League, namely the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
I know these are not big European competitions like the UCL and Europa League, but if they manage to get a title in one of these competitions it will be quite an achievement in Chelsea condition which is clearly experiencing downturn.

so many things about Arsenal that I still can't comprehend,they were very good last season that everyone thought they would win the premier league,but inexperienced cost them the tittle.This season,they bought Rice who has been the best player in the Arsenal's squad so far since the start of the season,but they just recently dropped to 4th position,and I know it won't be good for them to only finish in the top four,they needed the trophy very badly,and if they can't get it,or get the champions league trophy,it would be really bad for Arsenal and the entire team.I may not be in support of them sacking him if he doesn't win the league,but it would really be good if they should caution him and make him realise his mistakes.

of course is very certain that Arsenal will likely come out as the top four of the premier League this season, in fact they are even supposed to have been leading the premier League this season if they had been consistent on there performance because at the beginning of the league they were playing very well and wining there matches and by then it was only Tottenham Hotspur that was preventing them from leading the premier League table until they manages to enter the first position on the table but however it was very unfortunate for them that there inconsistent mistake last season was able to repeat itself again on this season.

Is really funny, even the owner won't try betting on Chelsea to win the league even if they managed to be at the top I still believe they'll drop and the better team would win the league. Well that's by the way but this Chelsea team can still make it to the top 4 if they work harder and continue winning games, they can surpass Manchester United because I see a serious team coming out of Chelsea and they can do it. Pochettino need to introduce both Jackson and Broja, playing them as the strikers with Nkunku and the other guys to force in more pressure on any opponent they meet and I believe it will be in there favor, they can make the fans smile this year.

So far, Arsenal owner Kroenke has poured a lot of spending money into Arteta's needs, and Arteta is even reportedly hunting for several names in the middle of this season to add to the strength of his squad. in particular, some names are positioned as pure stickers. recently I read a rumor or gossip, that the potential target is Ivan Toney. apart from that, there are two other names, namely Dustan Vlahovic and Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface. of the three names of these players, I prefer Victor Boniface. even if he joins Arsenal, his career will shine even more and at the same time test his ability to play in the Premier League. unfortunately, if the rumors are true, an agreement like this in the middle of the season will be difficult to achieve, considering Leverkusen's status as contenders for the Bundesliga title this season.

Well, what Arteta and Edu are doing to improve the performance of their team's squad and achieve the targets they are aiming for. which means, if Arteta fails and is only able to bring Arsenal to finish in the top four of the Premier League. then his career seems to be at stake, because I'm sure that Arsenal owner Kroenke wants the Premier League trophy. that's why, he is willing to support Arteta with what he needs. so, in the next matches Arteta's task will be even tougher and will have quite high challenges. he must return his squad to its true performance and at the same time, add strength to his front line. therefore, I am quite sure that Arteta will bring in a pure striker who is able to answer the team's needs as a goal getter. that doesn't mean Gabriel Jesus isn't good, but Arsenal need more than that if they want to win trophies this season. as for Nketiah, it looks like he will leave. however, we'll just see Arsenal's development and what Arteta will do.

Arsenal are tied on points with City , but City have played one game less so they could potentially bypass them. Yes, nothing has been lost for Arsenal yet, but at the moment they are already losing 5 points to Liverpool, and it may not be easy to make up for this, besides, we don’t know how Arsenal will cope with this decline, whether they will be able to continue winning, or their unsuccessful the series continues.

The true fans of chelsea will still bet on the blues no matter how big or low the chances owned by the blues to bet it. The real profit seekers will never bet on chelsea till it will be reaching its peak performance again.
I kinda feel that if chelsea will be stuck in the same place. It will be better if chelsea can manage it to enter into the top 5 to be qualified for the europa league next season.

The club is still rebuilding its squad. Chelsea could never find the best compositions for its squad. This is the main task of pochettino to make it happen but im still doubting it.
Pochettino was not bringing good progress for chelsea but he does the same thing like the previous coaches did. Pochettino likes lost all of his mind to determine which best compositions for chelsea to perform in any game.

Europa league ticket is far better than got nothing. It can at least help chelsea to develop the mentality of its players in the european competition like europa league and UCL.

If pochettino will not take the risk and chelsea will stay in the same position.

No one will ever bet on Chelsea to win the Premier League title at the end of this season and even if Chelsea makes many changes in the teams and hires many players to have better performances, I still don't think if they can have any good chance for winning the title and as you said the best thing they can do at the end of this season is to just get the Europe League ticket for the next season which still hard for a team like Chelsea considering the results they got so far.

that's enough to boosting the performance from chelsea. I will not be so optimistic to think that if chelsea will able to perform better caused by the club has is still declining once it meets a club that used low block strategy,

Im expecting chelsea to get a  defensive club as its final opponent in the EFL club. EFL was good enough to boost the performance from chelsea but im not willing to think that if chelsea is going to win the EFL.

You may see this club failed to do that soon. It's caused by chelsea's problem is going to appear in the next round of EFL. Winning EFL may probably boost the performance from the club butas you know that how chelsea was always botting the match against the weak club in the EPL

Due to a winning penalty, Chelsea was fortunate in their previous game, however, the next game will bring about a different set of circumstances for them. Pochettino needs to fix his problem first like always using incorrect starting line up.

Well, even though Arsenal have had some bad results recently, that doesn't mean that Arsenal have lost the title race this season. Because there is still a lot of time left. There are still at least 18 matches this season that Mikel Arteta and his troops, namely the Arsenal squad, must really take advantage of this season to reach the top of the standings. Currently Arsenal has the same number of points as Manchester City but has a 5 point difference with Liverpool who are at the top of the standings. Well this won't be easy for Arsenal. But they still have a chance.

Last season they almost got it. But they slipped at the end of the season and made Manchester City once again lift the trophy last season. This time Arsenal must work harder and must not repeat the same mistakes as last season. Moreover, currently Liverpool and Aston Villa are also in the title race this season. Which makes things not easy.

Arsenal would most likely be amongst the top four teams when the current season ends. And yes, their aim is much more than just finishing amongst the top four. Last season, they played well but sadly couldn’t maintain the lead and fell behind, giving Manchester City the lead and ultimately the EPL title last season.
They’ve been somewhat inconsistent in their performances and have lost out on some games that they would have ordinarily had won. They still have a shot at the title but they do need to step up in their efforts. I do think they’ve got the right players  to get them where they need to be. The top of the table.

If Manchester City win their outstanding match against Brentford, Manchester City will be 2 points behind Liverpool. Manchester City has the opportunity to be at the top of the premier league table before the end of February because none of their players are leaving for the African Cup of Nations and Asian Cup.

Winning the title in the EFL Cup might can be a better start for Chelsea this season. And Pochettino must at least be able to contribute one title to Chelsea even though it is not the Premier League. But winning the title in the EFL can increase the motivation of Chelsea players to become more confident now. Because I think Chelsea players have a low level of confidence in the Premier League. They should have a little encouragement to improve their mentality.

For now Chelsea must focus on advancing to the Final and wait to see who their opponents will be, whether it is Fullham or Liverpool. If it is Liverpool then it could be another nightmare for Chelsea. Because Liverpool's current performance is in the best condition they have ever had again.

So far their position is safe enough to stay in the Premier League, because their position with the team in the relegation zone is 13 points away. But with the remaining matches available and if they continue to achieve bad results, then the threat will remain, I say this based on the possibility that will still happen.
They have just won 2 consecutive wins and that is good news for them because it will indirectly grow their confidence. But considering their habits are still far from consistent, they could have another unsatisfactory result in the next match. Actually this is the problem with them, sometimes they play well, sometimes bad and even very bad.

Winning trophies is great obviously but the EFL Cup is no compensation for Chelsea’s performances the last 18 months. They have spent £1,500,000,000 on mostly crap players. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a badly run club in over 30 years watching football.

Their mismanagement of funds in the transfer market under Boehly’s stewardship has been calamitous. They have been a joke of a club for a while now. 

Arsenal is already in 4th position in the league standings, if they want to get more than 4th position they have to continue to work hard to win the next match to get 3 points, while their performance still doesn't look consistent, that's what makes Arsenal drop to 4th position in the standings. In my opinion, Mikel Arteta must create a new strategy pattern to be able to win the next match so that he can continue to win in the matches they are playing. That way, I am sure that the opponents you will face will not know the new tactics that Mikel Arteta has created and it will be very easy to win the next match.

Like you already stated the likes of Liverpool are already there and it will very hard for the likes of Chelsea to actually defeat Liverpool most especially if the two had the final show down. I think that middlesbrough is also a very big challenge for this inconsistent Chelsea team but the fact is that there is hope anyways since there are not yet out of the competition. With the things have turn out for this Chelsea team, the EPL league cup would be a nice compensation for the poor performance and possibly poor finish to the premier league season this year.
