What Pep Guardiola has achieved with Manchester city, Liverpool only dream about it. Liverpool has only 1 premier league in the whole time that pep Guardiola has being managing Manchester city. There hasn't been any manager that has being as successful as Pep Guardiola is during his time at Manchester city therefore he has all the right to brag as much as he wants because if it was other managers that achieved what Pep Guardiola has, they'll be considered the best manager but since it's him, people aren't seeing how big of an achievement it's to win so many premier league in this period. Liverpool fans should be ashamed for trying to look down on him.
Pep Guardiola legacy alone in Manchester City is bigger than whole Liverpool. Despite the poor form he found himself this season, he still remained one of the best managers at Etihad stadium. Winning 6 EPL titles for Manchester City, and Liverpool just having a single EPL title under the management of the former coach, Jurgen Klopp. So I ask, why Liverpool fans booed Pep Guardiola during the match probably when leading 2 nil at Anfield? It's pointless chanting his sack because the Citizens will be forever grateful for the outstanding performance and accomplishments made by Pep Guardiola for the team. He singlehandedly made the club become very competitive till this present day, he deserved his accolades.

I understand that Pep wanted to have some response, he can't really just keep going like this and still be saying that he is doing badly, of course we know he is doing badly, the problem is that he is not figuring out a way to get better neither.

It's been 7 games since they had a win, and lost 6 of them as well which is quite unusual for him, and something that is really looking weird for his legacy as well. Not saying that he is going to be remembered as bad or something, dude won so much, he won six premier league titles, and even a treble once with UCL as well, so his legacy is good, but for example Sir Alex Ferguson never lost 5 in a row in all 20+ years of his career, that has to be an important thing to remember.

Do you agree with what Pep said? Or is it just a defense? On the one hand, it is a fact that Pep and Man City have won many trophies, especially the EPL. However, it is undeniable that Man City's performance is getting worse and this is a big problem, and this is a fact, with an unstoppable series of defeats.

I guess it's not just me that was tired of seeing Man City reign at the top, eh? Well it wasn't like they cheated to be there though because they put in the work and effort and it's sad at the moment that they are experiencing  the issues of injury but I think it's more than that. It's just a matter of time till Man City will not be a club that puts fear in other teams.
A good game for Liverpool and another miserable one for Pep Guardiola's City. After the few times Man City have lost their games, we saw how Pep Guardiola injured himself and if this trend continues, I wonder the state he'd be left in.
If Pep Guardiola fails to end the current negative trend, it is clear that they will fail to defend the Premier League trophy, and will even have difficulty competing in the Champions League in the future. Indeed, many parties are bored with Manchester City dominance in 4 consecutive seasons, and it seems that this season Liverpool will succeed in ending the dominance of the defending champions. Since Pep Guardiola took charge of the club, they have never lost many matches in a row, this is the first time this has happened. Nottingham Forest will be Manchester City opponent in the next match, both are only one point apart in the standings, on paper Pep Guardiola has a great opportunity to create a turning point in performance.
Yes, that's right. Actually, many are tired of seeing Man City continue to dominate the EPL league every season, we need a new champion this season and it is certain that Liverpool will be it. Because Arne Slot is a smart coach, he can utilize Klopp's pressing legacy, place players like Pep Guardiola, and can match Ancelotti's style. Slot is indeed a genius, learning from observing many coaches and can be adaptive in choosing the right strategy according to the situation.

Man City's current slump is not only due to the injuries of their two core players, the purchase of players/squad depth that Man City currently has is not in accordance with Pep's playing style, plus many players from the back line to the front line whose performance has declined. Man City has been less active in the transfer market for the past 2 seasons, so that game tactics have not developed much and also the problem of player fitness is clearly the most influential.

If they are always inconsistent until the end of the first half of the league (until the end of the year) Man City could fail to defend the title, but if they move quickly in the January transfer market to find the gaps left by KDB and Rodri, it would be better to at least be able to compete closely with Liverpool until the end of the season.

Give all before death
I haven't seen a top manager in the history English Premier League loss 5 games in a row but here is Guardiola on a loss spree. What's the remedy, that's their business but one thing I know is that the man stays and he will bounce back. It's going to be abnormal for a team that won 6 Premier League title in 8 years to be this but to me, what's happening is entirely not his fault, he has done everything possible to makes the boys change there ways to win but it's not working.

They are going to bounce back and will compete in the next Champions League as top finishers but they have just lost a big opportunity to finish the league as the title winners. They have tried in the past years but the manner they are losing match is very disappointing if not even disrespectful to the name, Manchester United and Chelsea in their worst night mares never come close to what Guardiola is playing. I'm happy Arteta will be smiling at the mister humble eeh guy Haaland. Grin
Pep Guardiola seems to be confused because he has not been able to dictate the problem of Manchester City. He should have known the problem of the club and fix it within the duration of these five games. Some sports analysts and fans are claiming that the problem might be because of the injury of some players. But the reserve players of the club is better than the first teams of the clubs they have lost to.

Manchester City is a big club and their performance at the beginning of the season never showed that they will struggle as the league progresses. If they lose more games in the future, the club will have to surrender the EPL trophy to more serious clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, or Chelsea.

This is the reality of the saying, nothing last forever, Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City team has also taken advantage of the poor performance of some teams in the league to beat them and win the league easily I think it is the opportunity given to the English Premier League teams to beat them right now and to make things difficult for them before they will get back to good form.

To be honest I wasn't expecting Liverpool to score just 2 goals against Manchester City today because Manchester City is a team that doesn't have mercy when ever they play any team that is in poor form so I think I am happy seeing what is happening to the team right now but I hope to see them coming back better probably next two seasons 😉

With Manchester city form, the encounter between them and Nottingham Forest is not really going to be a favorable one, it is surely going to be a battle. Forest has good records of troubling  big teams. They defeated Liverpool from away early in the season and I believe they would be working towards proving themselves at Etihad. Manchester city suffered a defeat at Annfield last week and it would be very ugly if their losing streak continues to their home match.

Chelsea on the other hand continues their winning streak by defeating Aston Villa with three goals yesterday. Jackson first goal was phenomenal judging from the tight angle he striked from. Enzo and Palmer are simply magic. They are arguably the most creative players on the Chelsea side currently. Cucurella is becoming so promising with his interceptions and crossing, assisting Jackson for the first goal was remarkable. The team played well, limiting mistakes and secured their victory maintaining their position in the table. Manchester United also win by four goals from an amazing performance.

Pep Guardiola is really in a state of confusion right now because everything is just happening too sudden and despite that he is trying his best to see that the team improves but yet it looks as though his effort is not enough and am even foreseeing him resigning as the club's manager if the team continues to drop in performance and not make any improvements because it will really be a sad experience to see that after many successful coaching career with other top European teams even Manchester city included but getting to this stage he is now facing the toughest time. He shouldn't have even continued with Manchester city after winning four consecutive titles with the club. He would have just left with his glory than it looking like all his efforts for the club are now being countered due to the team's recent drop in form.
I don't even think they can win Nottingham Forest in the next match because even though both teams have been underperforming lately, there was a time that Nottingham Forest was performing awesomely well to the extent they even won Liverpool, so if they use that same energy, Manchester city may not find it easy.

We were not prepared to see Manchester City fall like this. Manchester City is the best club in the Premier League. In the last few years, we have only seen Manchester City dominate in the Premier League. Manchester City started this season very well. But City's performance in the last few matches has been very disappointing.

Manchester City is now in fifth place in the points table after losing four consecutive matches. I don't know when Manchester City last faced such a disaster. It will not be possible for Manchester City to compete for the Premier League title this season. Manchester City should now try their best to stay in the top four of the points table.

Its time for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City players to know what people face when they play several games without a win, they will understand copletely that they really need squad depth to continue on a high level this season because almost all the big six teams in the EPL are back on form, and they will make the competition very difficult.
I know that Manchester City can win their next game against Nottingham Forest even though it is still not yet certain because we see how they draw their champions League match against Feynord after leading by three goals. If they end the losing, they will still be among the title contenders, but if they lose or play draw against Nottingham Forest, then Manchester City will be among the teams that will demand for more defensive players in the Janury transfer window.

Defense or not, but a coach or anyone will definitely tell the success they got before when they played not according to what was desired. That will be a weapon that they always carry, both in front of the media and in front of supporters.
However, supporters or management will not see their achievements in the past, because what they will see is how they perform now. If we only talk about past success, then we will not see coaches who are fired for failing in one season.
However, it is legitimate for coaches to do it to defend themselves, but it must also be accompanied by better results in the next match.
That is true because in reality it is like that and so far Manchester City has played seven matches with very bad results lately because six of them ended in defeat and one more draw in the UCL match. So I think the Manchester City coach is currently experiencing a little unusual pressure so that it has forced him to find a better way to get back on the winning track in the Premier League competition and also in the UCL competition. In the next match in the Premier League this week, Manchester City will host Nottingham Forest who has also looked quite good and has managed to occupy the top six in the Premier League standings. So Manchester City is expected to be able to win so that their series of defeats can end.

There series of defeat may come to an end soon but playing against Nottingham Forest will not also be an easy one for them to get full three pints. Nottingham Forest performance has been impressive and at a point they were able to stay in the top four positions for some time. Nottingham Forest already knows that Manchester City are in a very weak form and they will also want to get a win in this match and get all three points in the match. Manchester City who have been experiencing a series of defeat will try to outperform them and win this match, but I don’t think it’ll be an easy task for them after every team now knows their weakness and are ready to take advantage of that weakness to beat them. Pep Guardiola will be very frustrated now, but if he’s able to follow things gradually, he’ll overcome this phase and become better again like they’ve always been and feared by any of their opponents they meet in all competitions.

I don't think there is any analogy between Real and City now. Real is first in La Liga (with one defeat), and City is 5th in the Premier League (with 4 defeats and 11 points behind the leader).
As for injuries, all teams suffer from them, but somehow cope. The nosedive that City has found itself in is unprecedented.

I like Pep’s response in the interview after the match they loss to Liverpool, it shows some sense of professionalism in him as a coach. He’s really going to pass this phase too in my opinion and all this are part of the processes. You can’t always get it right always and whenever you face some challenges in the league, it’s only telling you to adjust and learn from those that you’re already missing. They are a great team and even now I can’t really say they’re out of the title race already, anything can happen at anytime. It’s much harder to maintain the upper position on the standings than moving up the standings, so it’s still possible things turns out for them better in the future.
I am not so sure, he is going into his Mourinho period and that only leads to less victories in the future. There is a potential of him just trying to live in the past if he keeps doing this, doesn't mean they will keep on losing, of course they will eventually get a win, Mourinho won with United too, but not enough, and he was eventually sacked because of it.

I believe if Pep makes this a common thing, talk about what he won and not think about what he can win, then he is going to be bad as well, we do not need managers like that anymore. Sure he won six titles, but that doesn't change what's happening right now, what we care is what's happening right now and because of that we can't really consider the bigger picture. If he can focus on the future, he can realize that they have been doing badly for a whole month now, November 2024, Manchester City didn't had a single victory for a whole month, he needs to change that and get some wins once again instead of looking at the past.

Seven games without a win! OMG! It's as if the clubs in the Premier league are hell bent on giving Pep Guardiola a heart attack cause I don't see how any club who meets them aren't afraid to inflict injury on them and today Liverpool dealt mercilessly with them to the point that City began playing football that lower division clubs would play. I've enjoyed good football but today's game against Man City was a true testament of how well Arne Slot has taken care of the team.
When they were under Jurgen klopp, they had confidence but it's like with Slot, the confidence rate is on another level. At this rate they could well take back the title like they did in the 2019/20 season if they continue to be fearless and win games.

Everyone is frustrated with how Man City is doing right now. In fact, the boos and jeers from Liverpool fans in the field towards Pep also sounded very painful. However, that's how it is, Pep responded to it casually. And even, after the match was over, he also said that in the future, it would be much better and they would rebuild their club strongly. After all, they have won various trophies and they can definitely do it.

Pep Quardiola was more coordinated on this match than there previous match, however I don't even no the motive of the Liverpool fans to have been acting that way towards him, perhaps they were expecting that the same thing would happen again on that match, however if Pep Guardiola said that with time or in the future they would come back and win more trophies, of course I believe him because he is someone I see that would promise or say something that would happen and besides he has already done it before this time so doing it again will definitely be possible for him, meanwhile i get the feeling that Pep Guardiola has lost hope of wining the premier League this season.

Apparently this is a big blow to Guardiola's ego, so he is trying to justify it with his past achievements. At the moment, it looks like he'll have to turn to the past more than once to console himself. Will he have enough strength to work until the end of the season and make a real restructuring of the team? It is difficult to say. He always worked in hothouse conditions and when he had real competition (with Mourinho) he quickly lost it and ran away.

Whether this is a coincidence or not, the decline in Manchester City's performance is also in conjunction with the decline in Real Madrid's performance as we know that these two teams are rivals in large leagues like UCL but this time even in their respective leagues it is very questionable to get their victory.
He said that he had gone through a lot with Manchester City was as proof that he had the ability, with other implied messages that we could read he needed time to change again, and could rise again from this bad time, some of his strategies were very old -fashioned And the players are not so creative in building attacks, they seem to lose confidence on the field.

I don't think there is any analogy between Real and City now. Real is first in La Liga (with one defeat), and City is 5th in the Premier League (with 4 defeats and 11 points behind the leader).

Arteta is so much concerned about the performance of Guardiola's club. And he thinks it's hard for Pep to continue what he's be consistently doing. However, it's poor for man City to fail continuously over the absence of Rodri. That wasn't Pep's dream for the Cityzens. I thought Man City would perform greatly even without the likes of Pep in the club. But with their recent performances, they can't go further with the absence of key players like Halaand. Mancity need to fix up their team to be strong even when other players are not around.

Something quite surprising coming out of the Arsenal and Chelsea League is something that will see many cynics convinced about the quality of football in one of the leading high-level football competitions such as the English Premier League. Identical results in different statistical aspects, be it the number of points, wins, draws, losses, goals scored, goals conceded, anything to do with goal differences, are pretty much impossible and can be termed as an extraordinary coincidence. It also speaks for the balance between the two sides up to week 13.

This in greater depth can give a quick summary of how both teams have gone through this season. and the fact that both teams have reached the same statistical point can also outline an increasingly fierce competition in the Premier League this season.

This equilibrium will be interesting to watch in the coming weeks. Will Arsenal and Chelsea continue holding hands, or will one start leaving the other behind?

Even though it's too early to start making predictions, my money is still on liverpool winning the premier league once again, Its no surprise that they're one of (if not) the best team in europe and the moment. Yes, I'm a liverpool fan so my opinion / prediction is a little more bias. Manchester City and Chelsea would be  big contenders considering they  have been adding more players to their squad since the transfer window open.

@trofo, I'm rooting for liverpool to win their second consecutive premier league title .
Yes you are right, for me any club can win the premier league but I don't want Manchester city to win the premier league again
Yes the premier league contenders of Chelsea Arsenal and probably man City will be a tough rivals in other to win the premier league
We are on the same page, I don't want them to win either, with the current situation now I don't think they can be able to be among the top contenders because if Rodri is not back they can't go anywhere because Pep is only good in getting himself a good players who can do the job but to manager the once available he found it difficult, what a pity? Manchester City haven't lost in four consecutive matches since 2008 and this is the first time in Pep Guardiola's managerial career to lose four consecutive matches. I think this will make him to be humble not to look down on any coach and also teach his players how to respect elders.

In as much as Manchester City under Pep Guardiola is struggling at the moment, I think the gesture of the Spanish manager towards Liverpool fans who were chanting "you're getting sacked in the morning" was necessary so they can accord him the respect he deserves. I'm not a fan of Pep Guardiola's style of football nor am I happy that he came and dominated English football but we must respect him for his extra-ordinary achievements as a Manchester City manager.
I think Manchester City will bounce back to winning ways again but I don't think they'll win the league again this season
