Even though I'm always saying this season may be tough for Manchester City or that there is no guarantee that they will do the same as they did last season, I don't think Burnley will beat Manchester City with the current performance of the team. However, in football, anything can happen. Let's see how the game goes. We should not decide now, and this is just the beginning of the season. I believe Burnley will do all they can to see them succeed in the match since they just got promoted to the English Premier League competition, so they won't want to start with bad news, and their home city will go home to play. Burnley I think would've had better chances of taking something out of their first English Premier League match of the season had the Manchester club won their Community Shield game against Arsenal on Sunday.
City lost that game and wouldn't want to jeopardize their chances of retaining the English Premier League title this season and that's why they'll go all out to win the game and send a clear message to other Premier League clubs that they're still the Champions of England and are capable to retain the title. Yes, of course Man City has a great chance to win in its first match in the EPL league. Although this season it is difficult for Man City to maintain the EPL League because many of their star players have left, I believe that their first match will get three points. Erling Haaland will be Man City's mainstay up front for sure because in Man City's last meeting with Burnley he scored a hat trick with a final score of 6-0 for Man City's victory.

This match will also be interesting because there will be a reunion of the former Man City player who is now Burnley coach, Vincent Kompany. We know that Vincent Kompany has played as a centre-back for over eleven years and he has also had success with Manchester City. But now he has to prove he can beat Pep Guardiola, his former coach. There's a high possiblity of the game ending as a full-time draw once again. I already staked my slip on this one and a couple others for the weekend. All of the shambles of last season shouldn't be carried across to the new season, rather they should look at it and keep themselves motivated. This is my issue with em. Injuries affect em and they haven't yet signed player's to replace em up.

Both sides had a great Pre-season. Chelsea at home hardly loss to Liverpool, I got to know about this from the days of Jose Mourinho.
Jurgen Klopp won Pochetino Mauricio during the Champions League finals with Tottenham Hotspur, but this is a new club, I'm not so sure he'll get that win with easily. My final prediction is for that game to end as a full-time draw.

While I think Manchester City would easily win the opening game of the new season in the EPL against Burnley, I wouldn’t say Burnley has no chance of beating Manchester City. In football, the win could go the way of the underdogs irrespective of how strong their opponents might be.
Burnley might just go ahead and win the game. I’m at this point rooting for the underdogs to win but still being realistic about it. It wouldn’t be an easy task to win their first game against the current champions of the EPL. Burnley should expect some tougher competition in the EPL and their first game doesn’t come any tougher.

Manchester City players are full of themselves. Each player has different skills which Pep Guardiola has used brilliantly to make the team one of the strongest teams. I believe Manchester City team will do amazing things this season.

Maybe draw is a good bet if someone want to risking their bet because Burnley only won once from the 18 matches with Manchester City, so technically it looks almost impossible for Burnley to beat Manchester City.
