It wasn’t confusing, it was required considering the amount of stop and play involved in the game. There was a long break involving a head to head collision between Partey and Walker which wasted lots of time. And even at that we were told that they are going to be changes in the time added in the matches due to long talks, delayed time by winning team, balls kicked out (part of the reason why Alvarez was booked during first half for kicking the ball away) and also the time wasted on celebrations. I am sure that was the all testrone done today. But still English refs are still awful in terms of decision making.
Arteta made some errors in todays match, he should have substituted Harvertz earlier than when he did, and Timber was really performing well in his position, he shouldn’t have substituted him, immediately Arteta removed Timber then Manchester City had the opportunity to score their goal.
Yes Arteta formation and tactics were bad today, firstly Timber was excellent but struggled to use his left foot from the left side properly, since Zincheko is available then Timber should start as a Center back and Zinchenko at the left.
