In the friendly match played by Chelsea, I saw the opposite of what you see. From the five matches they played, Chelsea won 3 wins, 2 draws (against Dortmund and Newcastle) and never lost.
This is a good achievement that Pochettino can evaluate in implementing a strategy against Liverpool in their first match of the season.

Frankly, I don't think Burnley has a chance against Manchester City. Yes, they may want to prove themselves, but when we look at the teams, there is a City with UCL and EPL champions last year. It is very difficult for Burnley to beat this City. If there is a situation where Manchester City cannot fully focus due to the fact that it is the first game of the league, then maybe Burnley has a chance.

We know that Burnley has met with Manchester City last season and it did not take the Citizens much time to dismantle them. But this season something different may happen. Although there is still a very high chance that City will win but it will not be an easy one.
If we can stop seeing it as Manchester City vs Burnley and see it as the Champions of EPL vs The Champions of Championship. When two champions play anything can happen, irrespective of their levels. Whatever will be the outcome, atleast we are sure of having a good football.

We can probably measure Liverpool's game already but if it's about Chelsea then I agree that this team has really become unpredictable. New coaches, new players and of course the club's playing patterns also have new formations. But in the pre-season match Chelsea has indeed proven their club has returned to good form. But unfortunately one of their front line players, namely Nkunku, had to suffer an injury. So I don't feel that Chelsea will play as well as in the Pre-season match.

But we need to consider that the meetings between these two clubs have ended 6 times in a draw in normal minutes matches. What was really surprising was last season when Chelsea was in poor form even though Liverpool couldn't beat Chelsea. And the game still ended in a draw. So is it possible that these two clubs will compete and produce a 7th draw again? I think this match is difficult to predict. But I am thinking of betting on Liverpool this time. I'm not sure about Chelsea's current attack line after Nkunku was injured.

With the talented players pochettino brought to Chelsea in this summer, showed that things will definitely change positively with the team which they will like to prove their preparation in this match to defeat Liverpool in their first match in this season. Based on the arrangement on ground, i don't think this new manager will allow what Chelsea went through last season to happen in this season than to use his potential skills to help the team to improve higher in this season. I believe this match will determine if Liverpool can go far in this season because their president was not happy about their position in the premier league table last season that made he to gave his manager last chance to help the team to win this title in this season or else he will be sack and replace with another manager.

Manchester United and Harry Maguire made a good decision. The player will have better chance to play more regularly at a smaller club that will be helpful for his international career with England team. The national team coach said strongly and clearly that he does not guarantee any position for Harry Maguire if the player won't play regularly at his club. There are some talented young central defenders who will be given opportunities by Southgate in future. Some of those young defenders will challenge Maguire for a position in the national team.

Manchester United sold a player and got money for his transfer budget as well as reduce their salary spendings. It will be good for the club financial health.

True, it is not easy to determine who will win but we don't have to bet on win/lose right there are still many other options such as total goals or both teams to score
My prediction this match will score a lot of goals at least 3-4 goals so over 2.5 / 3.5 goals is an interesting choice we can choose based on the risk of loss
If this was last season it is clear the bookies will favor Liverpool but this time Chelsea has been different, as you said they have a lot of new ones.

I think their will be a transformation in Chelsea because of the new coach they have and new players they have in the team. For a longtime Chelsea performance have not been very impressive and I doubt if it will be still the same pattern and outcome of result . Liverpool has always been a performing team even if they were not really stable in their games in last season but I don't think it will be easy for Liverpool to defeat Chelsea, this season might be a good season for Chelsea to shine.

The odds difference is so thin between these two big EPL teams and I think Chelsea is pretty good after they have managed to overcome the performance of their players so far. I think the big EPL game this week feels very difficult to predict who will win and maybe I will favor Liverpool more to win.

I don't underestimate Chelsea because they were unbeaten in pre-season yesterday and managed to win the summer series, but looking at Liverpool who have been much more consistent since the end of last season, maybe Jurgen Klopp's squad will get even better. In his initial debut as a Chelsea coach, Pochettino had to be presented against Liverpool and I think this will be quite tough and will be an important match for him. My prediction is a narrow score victory for Liverpool.
