Manchester City have strengthened their team by signing midfielder Kovacic from Chelsea. The player has a 29 million euros transfer fee and his market value is 38 million euros.
Kovacic managed to play 37 games for Chelsea last season, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists in total.
I think they bought him to replace Ilkay Gundogan because Ilkay left City and transferred to Barcelona.Kovacic, who is a younger player, is a better choice than Ilkay in terms of age, but it is not known whether he will be able to adapt to City.

Kovacic is a good football player, but İlkay's contribution to the team was too much. I'm not sure if Kovacic can do that. It's always better to have a younger squad. Every football player who comes to City gets used to it in time, I don't think he will have serious problems in this regard. Looking at the long-term, I see that they made a logical transfer Smiley
What we have to realize is that even players who come from mediocre skills become extraordinary when coached by Pep Guardiola. Somehow, but Pep Guardiola can always bring out the maximum ability of the players he trains. As we know today even we see an extraordinary balance among all Man City players. As if all of them become stars in the field together. so that opponents are always having trouble and a little frustrated when dealing with Man City players. Because Blocking Haaland wasn't even effective because apparently there were other players who could score goals like Haaland. and when all the forwards are under heavy guard. it turns out that there is even a midfielder who can play like an attacker like Ilkay Gundogan last season. And I don't think it will be much different from Kovacic who can replace Gundogan's position. Pep has always been able to find a way to make all the players fit into the Man City game.

Harry Kane  contract ends next year exactly June 2024, if Kane does not update the contract, Tottenham hasn't had many choices
Of course Tottenham doesn't want Kane to leave for free, Munich is the team that is most serious in negotiating they submitted an offer of 70 million
Tottenham doesn't want to release Kane at a price under 100 million now the decision is in Munich.
Harry Kane is a top striker who understands precisely what he wants; he simply needs to remain cool and make the proper decision. The striker is worth every bit of attention in the media; all he needs to do now is win trophies to amass substantial rewards in his football career. Bayern Munich is interested in signing Harry Kane. I don't expect things to move quickly for the Englishman because Spurs expect him to stay and Bayern Munich is enthusiastic in signing the attacker, this deal will take time, because Spurs already turned down the Bavarians first bids.

This is a very correct point of view. Tottenham are bluffing because they are trying to get the next highest bid for Harry Kane. Also, we can say that Harry Kane, who has not signed a new contract with Tottenham, wants to leave Tottenham. Considering the issue in this context, we can say that there is a very high probability that Harry Kane will be transferred to Bayern Munich or another club in this transfer period. Harry Kane has played football for Tottenham for a long time and has served the club well, but Tottenham have not had any success. If Harry Kane wants to leave Tottenham, it will be a fair request.
Yes, I am a little concerned about Harry Kane's condition, when other quality players have gone far to seek new achievements and even trophies, but I don't think how he could have lasted so long with Tottenham without achieving anything. Next summer's transfer market should be his bidding farewell to Spurs, because somehow I think he will have to think about a move if he cares about his career. Joining Bayern Munich could be the right choice, if he can't achieve anything in the Premier League at least he will get various trophies with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. I hope the Tottenham management can understand what Kane wants and give him a chance.

Mateo Kovacic is an experienced midfielder and it wouldn’t take for him to adapt to Manchester City. He’s still in the premier league and I don’t think there’s much of a different experience he’ll need than the one he already gotten at Chelsea and his previous clubs. Last season was not just a good season for all the Chelsea players but I believe their individual brilliancy will speak for them at their new teams.

Kovacic's arrival to the club gives Guardiola a more experienced midfield players than the rest of the English Premier League clubs. The new season is yet to kick off but with Manchester City's squad, retaining the premier league title wouldn't be as difficult as winning it the just concluded season

The case is not always like that, we might see a different performance by another club who had not performed much well in the just concluded season. Manchester City squad is still solid and I don’t expect a less performance from them. But I won’t be surprised to see another team beating them to the premier league title by next season. Every team are building and strengthening their squad for the next season, so I don’t expect less from most of them.

Guardiola seems to be interested in de Jong now as this article says. That would be an interesting exchange as they let Gundogan go and try to replace him with a much younger player. Maybe this has all been set up without anyone knowing if this transfer really happens. I think de Jong is more defensive than Gundogan and scores a lot less goals in his time at Barcelona, but Guardiola seems to have an idea about how to proceed with Manchester City next season.
It makes sense when you think about it and it's probably going to be a top-secret transfer for both teams. Barcelona still needs funds to continue to stabilize its finances and of course Manchester City will be able to grant the offer made by Barcelona for Frenkie De Jong as long as the cost is still reasonable and not too expensive.

Frenkie De Jong is more of a defensive midfielder and he did that because there were no other options at Barcelona that could fill that position. But if Frenkie De Jong joins Manchester City then Pep Guardiola will be able to change his position to become a creative central midfielder and that will definitely make Manchester City stronger.

Yes and the thing I was trying to say is that these transfers are no coincidences. I think that even at the time when it was not yet clear to the public whether Gundogan will go to Barcelona or not, the negotiations took probably already place that de Jong is a transfer target for Manchester City and if they get Gundogan or want Gundogan, Manchester City will refrain from raising the offer for Gundogan if in exchange they are willing to sell de Jong for an amount of what is now said in the media.

I think Pep made the right choice in bringing Kovacic on board. I am aware of the man's high level of football IQ. Inter, Real Madrid, and Chelsea were three of his prior teams where he excelled. Given that he was given a 4-year deal and that Manchester City will now be more active than they have been in the past, I believe Pep will make him one of his permanent players rather than a temporary one.

but it is not known whether he will be able to adapt to City.

Why will he be unable to fit in at Manchester City? Naturally, he will continue doing it the way he did when he first joined previous teams; that is how he was when Inter, Chelsea, and Real Madrid signed him, so I think he will adjust to them. What I can say is that we should only hope that he succeeds in helping them by improving their squad, as that was the major reason they signed him. If not, we won't be able to predict how he will act until he begins competing for them. You can see that some players will succeed at some clubs, but they will change when they join another one.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is arguably the best player in the world at moment in terms of quality players and style of football. Ilkay Gundogan left the club that won the treble last season to sign for Barcelona and Manchester City immediately replaced him with a world class midfielder in the person of Mateo Kovacic.

A player of the same quality as Kane will not be released for under 100 million, but it may cost more. I know Kane scores too high for his age, but that's Tottenham's way of keeping Kane from going anywhere. Tottenham still really need Kane as their main striker next season, but that is not very good for Kane's achievements at the team level.

Kane is a great striker, but he hasn't won anything with Tottenham even though he is a striker who can score dozens of goals every season. So Kane needs to be able to make decisions about his future, meaning he has to force a move in order for his title ambitions to rialize.

If Kane is not traded this summer, he will go free next season. It's probably better to get 100 (90 or even 80-70) million than to lose a player for free. I doubt that a club like Tottenham can afford to "pay" for any player 100 million (plus salary) a year. But that's exactly what will happen if Kane stays for another year and then leaves - it will turn out that Tottenham will lose a player and not get 100 million.

This is a very correct point of view. Tottenham are bluffing because they are trying to get the next highest bid for Harry Kane. Also, we can say that Harry Kane, who has not signed a new contract with Tottenham, wants to leave Tottenham. Football has evolved, and when I say evolve, I mean the Goal Keepers are now more like midfielder's with football passing and possession keeping qualities on the both legs. To be honest here, David De Gea lacks that, Manchester needs growth and title's and if he has to go then, so be it.
That what modern footballer is, old player only need to play well in his job desk and don't care with other position. But now playing well in own job desk isn't enough to become a good player, you need to have some other skill and put more effort. A goalkeeper need to have an accurate pass, a defender need to have quick sprint and become a midfielder during attack position, a winger need to have a good shot and how to score a goal, not only have quick sprint and give an assist to a center forward player.

It is a fact that De Gea has been at Man United since June 2011, until now Dea is the only player to have won the EPL Title with Man United in the 2012-2013 season. He was plotted as a replacement for Edwin Vander Sar at the time of joining Old Trafford by Alex Farguson. It would be a shame if the contract agreement between De Gea and United Management could not be realized, considering that he has been together for more than a decade with Man United.

I think his experience, knowledge and consistency are very much needed in the Squad, both in play and in the locker room. It is very difficult now to find a goalkeeper of De Gea's class, he can be a real example for young United players and new players to be motivated in the hunt for the title. Ten Hag and management should be aware of this, as a form of appreciation for the player who has spent the longest time with Man United, do not renew the contract with the option of cutting wages.

David De Gea might not possess the goal keeping skills Erik Ten Hag wants but he's a top top player regardless. I'll miss him if he finally leaves, I believe they want to settle down for a new Goal keeper before making contract extension with him. He's currently marriage and would love a move to the Spanish League if they fail to get an agreement with Manchester United over a new contract.

Simply De Gea didn't want to accept any cut in his salary and there was a disagreement between him and the team. Otherwise there was no reason for De Gea not to extend for a couple of more years. Because his performance was still at an impressive level. Manchester United must also be confident to replace him with a solid goalkeeper that they don't seem very sad.

Onana is indeed their priority now. He still has 4 more years on his contract though. His market value isn't much but I assume Inter wouldn't be very keen on selling him right away for a cheap price. But Manchester United are a rich team so they would be ready to sign him by paying some more money.
Manchester United tries to cut off David De Gea salary and he won't accepted with United offering, finally De Gea become free agent after not reach agreement deal. Actually, De Gea has impressive performance in this season with Manchester United but looks crucial with United want to cut off his salary for extending contract. Manchester United looks difficult for signing Inter Milan goals keeper Andre Onana because high transfer fees and United not any option awhile except finding replacement for De Gea position.

Crucial with Manchester United won't accept with De Gea contract extend without cut off his salary, actually he has 7 years with Manchester United but can't get special offering from United for extend one or two season later.

It has been a 12-year journey for De Gea with Manchester United. He is still not too old for a goalkeeper as well and his performance should have been enough to convince the board to give what he wanted. If somehow this Onana transfer doesn't happen I wonder if they have another formula.

If they can't fill De Gea's place with another solid goalkeeper this is just a really serious problem for the Red Devils. Because in times they weren't able to defend their opponents well De Gea took a huge responsibility. They need a goalkeeper with similar characteristics.

Yeah Kovacic and Gundogan are in the same position Central Midfield obviously it is an ideal replacement although Gundogan is a little better in the attack, but age will be increasingly inhibiting. By the way, I found something unique in Kovacic transfer, Chelsea did receive 29 million but in fact Manchester City had to pay 34 million another 5 million will be distributed among the clubs that have signed Kovaci in the past including Madrid, Inter, Dinamo Zagreb and LASK. Kovacic signed a contract for up to 4 seasons meaning Pep wants to make him a main player not as a temporary player.
He is a good player in Pep's hands and can make a good contribution to Manchester City this year.Pep is a good manager and there must be a reason why he wants him.I think we will see why in the future. We know Kovacic's performances in other teams he has played for.Kovacic's career spans from Zagreb to Inter to Real Madrid to Chelsea and he has moved to City, perhaps the last team of his career. He is a younger player than Ilkay, which makes him a little more active and developable.

De Gea's contract with Man United has officially ended. And currently, de Gea is a free agent. Yes, Man United did not renew the MU goalkeeper's contract for several reasons. However, because he is currently a free agent, Man United can actually re-sign a contract with him. But I don't think this will be done by them. Moreover, they are currently eyeing several good and quite young goalkeepers like CostaCosta,  David Raya and others
They are looking for a replacement after the departure of De Gea. I think it would be nice if Manchester United took a more harmonious approach with de Gea so that he would sign a new contract at the same time Manchester United also brought in another goalkeeper. Many regret that De Gea left Manchester United because he is the most qualified goalkeeper after Edwin van der Sar. However, this month de Gea status is no longer a Manchester United player because he is already a free transfer player. I think he will get a lot of offers from European league teams be it from the EPL or teams outside the EPL. Indeed Andre Onana is the best goalkeeper Inter Milan has and Manchester United plan to bring him in might be more appropriate if they fail to convince De Gea to return to Manchester United.
It is such a sad thing to see. This dude played 545 games for United, maybe some more with friendlies or something, and been there for 12 years and gave his all, and they didn't even resigned his contract. His PR team and agent even worked towards making it known that he wasn't looking for much, he just wanted to stay and not change his life or anything, and yet he wasn't really accepted, they obviously didn't want to continue with him.

That's a bit of disloyalty but it is business so I can't say much, players do not resign and leave their team for free as well, we call that business too. At least he is still 32 years old so he is very young for a goalkeeper, he can play at least another 5 seasons with another team, I would guess that he can find a good spot, maybe a lot of money if he goes to Saudi Arabia as well?
