The Mason Mount deal keeps trending between Chelsea and Manchester United as both parties are yet to agree on a price. Chelsea rejected Manchester United's proposals because the Red Devils did not agree to Chelsea's demands for a crucial player in the squad. Mason Mount made it obvious that he has no intention of extending his contract and that he wants Manchester United to be his top priority in the market. He also maintained his composure. I expected that this time they struck the mark, and Chelsea will meet with Manchester United in the upcoming weeks to settle the bids once and for all.
Chelsea doesn't want to lose the service of Mason Mount because he is an important player in Chelsea. But they still don't want to do the needful which is to increase wages. Mason wants to earn like other top-class players. But the Blues were not unwilling to make him one of the top earners. Chelsea has reduced the asking price for the English midfielder after he told the club recently that he has no intention of extending his contract. Chelsea might end up not profiting from his transfer if he ends up seeing off his contract. Manchester United has offered £45 million with £5 million of add-ons, which Chelsea turned down. Things have turned out worst for Chelsea because they have lost the opportunity of keeping this midfield maestro. Manchester United have about £120m to spend for next season and Erik ten Hag wants to invest in Mount.
Anyone knows how low Sadio Mane performance was when he was at Bayern Munich, this was of course driven by several important factors, especially the incompatibility of Mane and the Bayern Munich players, then the coach who at that time also did not give full trust to Mane even though he put him as a striker though. So when compared to Mane at Liverpool it was his golden age and Klopp fully believes that Mane's skills are very useful in sharpening the front lines. But at Bayern Munich, of course, the treatment was not like that, Bayern Munich put more emphasis on all of their players being able to play individually, while Liverpool made Mane and Moh Salah the main centers of attack.
Mane was doing well in Bayern Munich but injuries affected him negatively. When he returned from these injuries he couldn't meet up the standard of the coach so he began to get less opportunity to play games. Some players are just perfect partnerships and I think Mane and Salah are destined to be together. Mane is missing Salah the same way Salah is missing him. Liverpool has gradually gotten used to the departure of Mane. Mane should have to do more to come back to his former class.
