Nottingham are the only team that managed to beat Liverpool this season, it would be good for the intrigue in the Premier League if they did it again. I think it is quite possible, although initially few took them seriously, they were able to prove that they are capable of beating their opponents and if they beat Liverpool the difference between them will be only 3 points. But on the other hand, Liverpool are strong enough to beat any team, so the match should be exciting.

Arteta is the one to also blame because he is supposed to start the match with a proper striker, Kai Havatz is not a striker and if we look at the game we will know that Arsenal needs a striker that will put pressure on Newcastle's defenders, Gabriel Jesus suppose to start the match yesterday as a striker but Arteta choose Havatz, Havatz miss a good chance that will make Arsenal equalize and Arteta still decide to let him continue playing, Arsenal need to warn Arteta about his job as a coach because the team invests much and they buy players that he needs and still he can't win them any trophy.

It's a signal if Arsenal will be trophyless again this season. The same story happened to them every season. It's hard for them to win the trophy with their current mentality, and the lost against Newcastle proven it.

They're too often depending on their setpiece, but when club has discovered to counter it, they can do nothing. Look at the picture i mentioned above, almost a half of their players lying on the floor.

Also, the moment when Isaack pushed Arsenal's defender to get a space. They know very well how to counter Arsenal.

The better for them to sign Ten Hag, which gave two trophies in two season instead of keep Arteta much longer.

I wonder if these "contract" discussions would make it harder for Liverpool to keep doing great. I was not at all surprised by Arsenal's defeat against Newcastle. Newcastle's recent form has been on a winning streak. However, in terms of experience, Arsenal had a higher chance of winning. Arsenal didn't play badly in the match; they tried their best with full effort, and in terms of match position and pass accuracy, Arsenal was ahead. But they failed to score. Despite making 23 shots on goal, only 3 of them were on target. Although Arsenal dominated possession, they were completely unsuccessful in creating goal-scoring opportunities.

On the other hand, Newcastle, despite being behind in possession, was better at creating and scoring goals. They took fewer shots, but were able to hit the target. It is surprising that such an experienced team like Arsenal couldn't score or create good chances against Newcastle. Although Arsenal didn't win in Semi-final Leg 1 of 2, they still have another opportunity. Surely, Arsenal will be able to capitalize on this chance.

In the last 5 matches, Arsenal have drawn 2 matches and only managed to win 3, whereas in the same last 5 matches, Nottingham forest have won all 5, and their next game coming up next week is against Liverpool, this will be a tough match, which I doubt if they can scale through with a win, but if they manage to, then they will overtake Arsenal in the league table, except Arsenal manages to beat Tottenham in their next coming game, then they can both be equal in points again.

But to be more realistic, Nottingham forest may likely lose, or at most, end up with a draw in their coming game with Liverpool.
So, Arsenal still have a better chance of maintaining their second spot on the table for the time being.

Liverpool still standing at the top with having 46 points where they still have a match in hand. Besides Arsenal comes to second position with along with 40 points where Nottm Forest has reached to the same points after they defeated Wolves with 3-0 goals but currently they rank as third in the qualifying table due Arsenal has better goal scored and the better goal difference. Although it was a valuable achievement for Nottm Forest who able to scored three goals where they took the control of the Field from beginning, goals scored by M. Gibbs-White at 7' and C. Wood 44 in First half. And after the start of the second half, they didn't give any opportunity to their opponent team Wolves to score a single goal but T. Awoniyi delivered the final nail in the coffin after scoring a final goal in extra minutes behalf of Nottm Forest and got the victory

I just think that after this first leg encounter, Newcastle united is now the clear favourite to progress to the finals of this year EFL cup, though anything can still happen, arsenal has the capacity of turning things around, but it's going to be extremely difficult now that Saka is out injured, and just as you have rightfully said a huge pressure is already on Mikel arteta to deliver the title, so they can't afford falling out of the title race or dropping off to third place, so I don't necessarily think that he is going to prioritize this trophy risk it all over the English premier league title, so in my own opinion, if am an arsenal fan, I would be expecting less from this arsenal team in the reverse fixture of this game because Mikel arteta would not priority this game over the upcoming premier league matches, he wouldn't play his best team, no he wouldn't do that, so the arsenal faithful should expect less from their team in the reverse fixture of this game so as not to feel too disappointed if they were finally knockout of the competition.

Honestly, the only thing Tottenham Spurs can do at the moment is to finish the remaining matches as much as possible, it is true that in the last four matches they have lost three and won only one and that too against Southampton, we all know it is a very weak club. In the match against Arsenal later despite losing i hope there is no massacre, at least if Tottenham manages to finish the match with a smaller goal difference, that's better.

How optimistic could Manchester United be? Having a draw with Liverpool doesn't make them better and saying that there is much time or long  way to go this season when there isn't any much noticeable improvement from Manchester United doesn't look nice, though we can't tell what happens next in soccer events but Manchester have a matter at hand that needed to be trackled and that matter is improving in their performance and making people believe that there is still hope, let's not rely on assumptions, let's analyze with present happenings I mean what we are seeing presently.

Yea the manager should convinced the management on the need to get more good players in this January transfer but I think the management isn't ready for that unless they will have to change their mind, buddy now you're talking, if there aren't change in their performance also if they continue to have a rethink whether to get some players in this transfer and finally may be they decide not to then there is nothing Amorim can do, personally I think Manchester United need a total overhauling of the team, if the keep hoping to get more good results with the current players, there hope may be dashed that's my take on this.

Optimistic? with their current condition? I don't know if in the end they still feel optimistic just because the season is still quite long I think they are just too confident with their current condition.

Before they convince themselves and are optimistic with what they are doing now, now they have to try to change their mentality and their new club can be more confident because they only expect a long season and do not improve themselves in the sense that their condition remains the same then in the end there is no change whatsoever from Manchester United.

It is not wrong if they are still quite confident that they can change their fate but in the end it is not easy and they need to do a lot of things because this is not only about confidence but changes that must be made comprehensively so that their performance improves.

Arsenal performance in the defeat to Newcastle was good but they did not create any chances to score, although they had 23 shots on goal but only 3 on goal. What's wrong with Gunners? What are their weaknesses? Arsenal failed woefully to grab three points from oppositions in first leg. Mikel Arteta is worried because winning is essential for his side and he won't fold his arms and watch his team been knocked out from the EFL Cup, he's opportune to do anything within his reach to reciprocated his energy towards Eddie Howe. Newcastle deliver excellently at Emirates Stadium last night and got away with three points, it was mandatory for the Magpies to grab all three points because they deserved it. They might not be the best team on the pitch against Gunners but they've more concrete concentrated actions towards their oppositions. Newcastle are on winning streaks this season, having 7 straight consecutive wins in a row, it does send a message to everyone about the sudden change of plans of Eddie Howe. Arsenal next oppositions is Manchester united in the FA Cup and we know drastic this game will be for both sides.

Arsenal's performance has decreased a little after Saka was injured and this is a problem that Arteta may need to overcome. For the second leg Newcastle will be much more favored because being two goals ahead in the first leg will make it easier for them to reach the final and it is much more difficult for Arsenal to get a win if Newcastle plays more defensively. In the Premier League itself, Arsenal will face strong teams in the next two matches and it might make Arsenal a little difficult to achieve the results they want. Arteta is under a little more pressure and if he makes the wrong decision it will make them drop out of the top two positions in the standings.
