This is interesting. I only Watched the match as a passerby in a viewing centre in my street. And I left there as 2-1 and I am seen the 2-2 from this your comment. And it is nice to see Liverpool had 2-2 draw with Arsenal. Though they (Liverpool) didn't tried because it was an opportunity for them to win the game.
And from the stat of the game Liverpool had 55 possession while Arsenal had 45.
The match between Arsenal vs Liverpool went quite well where both teams played quite well in this match even for Arsenal they were able to take the lead first and lead the match but in the 80th minute everything changed because the score became 2-2 through a goal scored by Salah. Both teams shared 1 point in this match because Liverpool was able to prevent Arsenal from getting 3 points in this match after Salah managed to equalize and ended in a draw.
For Arsenal, where in the last two matches they lost 5 points because they were defeated by Bounemouth and held to a draw by Liverpool. Thus Arsenal has not managed to take advantage of the opportunity to lead the standings after two matches ended with satisfactory results, for Liverpool, they dropped to 2nd place because Manchester City managed to get 3 points in this week's match. I think if Manchester City has controlled the standings it will be difficult for Liverpool or Arsenal to win it back.
That game between Arsenal and Liverpool should tell people that there is more competition between the top teams in the English premiership. Arsenal took their time and scored but Liverpool knows how to bounce back to level the game especially when time is almost up. They both get one point, and for Arsenal, this is not a very good thing after they lost points to Bournemouth. A season is long, and Arsenal proved this by struggling to win in the last two consecutive matches and this shows how hard it can be to maintain a consistent mentality especially when there is a chance to takeover the standings.
However, for Liverpool, this draw does matter in some extend because Manchester City managed to win this match and occupy the top position on the table. Given City’s consistent performance trend, then the chance to regain the top position can be further afield, including if City continues to assert dominance. Arsenal and Liverpool now need to clear a lot of obstacles if they wish to be able to stay in the title race this season. Of course, when there is only one match per week, there is no time to take a break, and the pressure is high for both Liverpool and Arsenal: the latter, if it does not want to lose the chances to catch up with City who now seem to get comfortable at the top of the standings.
