Knowing that Haaland scored at the 5' , I'm sure a lot of you, including myself, bet on over 3 total goals in that match. I can't believe the match between Man City and Southampton ended at just 1-0. lol
Anyway, the record for the most draws in a single matchday in the EPL is 7. So far, there have been 3 draws in today matchday 9, and it almost became 4 draw if B. Mbeumo of Brentford F.C. hadn't scored in the 90+6' minute. There are still 4 remaining games, and if they all end in draws, it would tie the record for the most draws in a matchday. But I think it's unlikely to happen. lol
You're right, I thought there would be a lot of goals in the game after Haaland's goal five minutes into the game, but we were disappointed when Manchester City failed to score any more goals. With 43% ball possession, 5 shots, and two were on goal, Southampton players were confident against Manchester City. The reason for betting on the goal came from my belief that Manchester United, the Premier League worst team so far, was able to defeat Southampton this season since Manchester City is the top team and will probably score more goals than Manchester United.
Furthermore, Arsenal's match against Liverpool ended in a draw, making it a total of four draws on matchday 9. Many people expected Arsenal to suffer their second defeat of the season, but the match ended in a draw; despite having plenty of injured players, Arsenal was able to hold Liverpool's players and share the points. While Manchester City moves to the top of the table with a point above Liverpool.
