United can rejoice in their first win of the year and feel confident that things will get better.
With their win, United moved up two spots to 14th in the Premier League table, two places ahead of winless Liverpool. They beat Liverpool for the first time in the Premier League since March 2018, and even though it's just one game, it's a start.

What a performance from Manchester United, never thought I we see Manchester United play this way again
I was surprised myself as I never thought Manchester United was capable of god football no more. You could see the players hunger for a win, they played like they needed it and they won. Malacia made sure M. Salah didn't have any lone time with the ball, Luis Diaz wasn't allowed much free chances to make any runs as well. Klopp didn't deserve any draw not to mention a victory in this game. I wonder why he allowed Milner to play longer with so many mistakes. His first substitution for Jordan Henderson should have been James Milner instead. Although Klopp still proved himself a good coach to have brought Fabio Carvalho on and he did help the game for Liverpool. Created the attempt that lead to M. Salah's goal but, Manchester United where better and deserve all 3 points in this game.

Ten hag needs this for a while. Could it have just been a false start for United? We have 67 minutes on the clock and United are leading 2-0. The first win now seems to be within reach. If they give this away and start losing, the criticism will erupt. If Liverpool lose, they will have a really bad start with 1 draw, 1 win and 1 defeat. They are lucky that City didn't walk away from their 3-3 draws last weekend. But Liverpool look vulnerable and United seem to be on the upswing now. But it's still 25 minutes. A lot can still happen there.

Is it really starting to work out for Manchester United? Or is this just a one-time thing? It's not clear yet, of course, especially judging by one such game (the last games were not very good, they looked confused). In principle, this game could be indicative, because they played against a strong club and this victory could mean something. The final score was 2-1, but the game was still beautiful

Harry should continue next game on the bench.
You didn't mention Ronaldo, how about him?
Maybe that rumor about Harry leaving to Chelsea will be made true now, it will be such goodness to the supporters of the club.

Ten Hag got his strategy right in the game starting with very fast players that put strain on that Liverpool backline, Sancho, Rashford and Elanga where good picks for this game, even the likes of Martinez who was almost a flop in the last game made some very important saves in the game to justify his signing. Great game and a reassurance for the club supporters, but i think it is too early to say they are better now, Liverpool have not been themselves this season and with Nunez their star signing not playing, there was no one really to connect properly with Salah like Mane did, the club is still in recovery from Mane's exit. For MUFC, we will know from their next couple of games if they are now better or were just lucky in this game.

What a fulfilled night for Manchester United, their fans are in jubilation wherever they are around the world. It seems keeping Harry Maguire on the bench finally paid off, Manchester United's defense looks solid tonight, no mistakes, well organized and the team showed good spirit and team work today. I'm proud of them and I think Erik Ten Hag's strategy has been effective tonight.

It's good to see Manchester United win again not just against any team but against a Liverpool team that humiliated them last season, did you see the solid defense that United mounted without Harry Maguire? this is actually the best performance so far this season for Manchester United and the joy after the win tells it all. The ball control of Martial and the second goal of United by Rashford was 😮 no doubt Ten Hag will capitalize on this selection and formation because it seems its going to work for the team.
Congratulations to Manchester United.

It is a horrifying night for Liverpool that's for sure. I never expected them to have this much difficulty in this match. I'm aware that they started with two draws to the season. But their performance was still way more impressive than Manchester United's. But the current match is the total opposite for both teams. Manchester United are getting close to a comfortable win by 2-0 now. Liverpool are desperate now and I don't think they can do better than dropping the goal gap to one by this effort.

Quite surprising results were obtained in the Premier League this week  I didn't think Manchester United would beat Liverpool but they fooled me and won 2-1. I congratulate them. This is what looks like Liverpool will come from behind in the title race this year.  It's as if there will be a summit race between Manchester City and Arsenal this year. Manchester United's win has made things easier for all Liverpool rivals.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

what the fuck is going on in this game? how the hell are we losing against the biggest losers in the premier league? It's embarrassing, if we lose against these losers, then we don't have any chance this season to win premier league and I doubt we'll make it that far, this season we're lost. I wonder what shame we'll have to go through again? it would even be acceptable if we lost to another team, but to lose against these losers? Seriously? honestly we are in the deepest hole Cry
so far it seems like there is no hope for Liverpool to even equalize, socks to be a fan of them with hopes to win the premier league,
As I was typing Liverpool scored, now there is a chance for sure to equalize, and I believe in their chances, it's a good time to bet on over 3.5 goals

I never believed that Manchester united will defeat in this match in this way because if you are looking at this no body who do play gamble can predict that gambling games is always be correct. I know that some of the people who predicted that Manchester united will lose the match is because of their previous matches they lose
Against all odd Man Utd defeated Liverpool in an exciting and entertaining match, honestly I predicted that the match will be win by either side and luckily Man Utd carried the day with their first win of the season thanks to Sancho brilliant first goal who scored with a nice composure and Rashford second goals assisted by Martial, I am very sure a lot of gamblers would have bet Liverpool to win thus a lot of losses will be incurred by gamblers, I hope Man Utd consolidate their first win of the season in their subsequent matches.

What a performance from Manchester United, never thought I we see Manchester United play this way again, it reminds me of sir Alex Ferguson days, the Manchester United players show guts, they want it more, where have they keep such a performance all this while, Ten Hag needs to keep the fire burning,no need to rest, I know that Manchester United might come out with a good result in this match but I didn't anticipate Such an awesome performance, good one for them.

Great Manchester United game tonight at Old Trafford. I saw the players' enthusiasm again as they played their finest football with extreme pressure, intensity, and emotion against rivals Liverpool.

Under Erik ten Hag, United started quickly. United overcame Liverpool by improving their form from the previous week. Before Rashford extended the lead, United's confidence was boosted through Sancho's goal in the first half. Liverpool had their chances thanks to Mohammed Salah, but United fought valiantly to hold on to the visitors and secure the three points. Manchester United won over Liverpool, 2-1.

Salah caged by Malacia, Martinez looked the defence
Rashford back with a goal, Sancho lacked energy during the second half
Harry should continue next game on the bench.

Salah did quite well but the goal came in the last minute of the second half so Liverpool couldn't use the remaining time to equalize. from the beginning of the game I chose to support Liverpool but my choice was wrong in this match because Manchester United performed quite brilliantly by scoring an early goal and being able to add a second goal in the second half. Liverpool really lost concentration in this match there is nothing to be proud of. the absence of nunez bad impact for liverpool.
I don't see Salah having many chances to score in this match, neither do the other players including Diaz and Firmino. Liverpool are too bad to be expected to win even though Manchester United are not at their best after two straight defeats. Salah only scored a rebounce ball which De Gea actually failed to save, so it was a lucky goal in my opinion.

Ten Hag rested Maguire for this match and opted for Varane to feature early. Also Ten Hag did not play Ronaldo and chose Rashford as a sticker where this strategy paid off handsomely for Manchester United. I thought Manchester United's defense was really good today, so it's true that Maguire has had to sit on the bench a lot more this season than was in a lot of Ten Hag's game plans.

Less than 15 minutes left in the game and Liverpool is 2 goals behind ManU, the team with the worst start of the season so far! Now Liverpool has a worse debut since years..
Klopp gonna get a stroke. Dunno if it is related to Mane absence or what Undecided

Most likely is in an indirect way. When Mane left for Bayern Munchen all the pressure is on Salah that got the maximum pay in Liverpool history.Based only on these facts it looks clear to me that Klopp has orchestrated the team to play all for Salah, during these games he has been oscillating to say the least, sometimes playing great, sometimes not even showing on screen, right now he scored a goal but I think that is not enough from a player of his caliber.Still Liverpool got 71% of ball possession which is an indication that they played the better football tonight, had more chances but Manchester United were much more pragmatic and scored more in less opportunities.

Ok this puts things into a different perspective. For ten Haag the win was massive. One the one hand because he didn't beat just some average team, but Liverpool and this will give him and the whole club a lot of confidence and patience for the weeks to come. On the other hand he didn't let Ronaldo play and still won the game. Ronaldo just played for a couple of minutes. That will further heat up the discussion about Ronaldo's future in the club. If they lost the game there would have been so many negative headlines confronting ten Haag with criticism, but now he did everything right.

For Liverpool the season is now slowly turning into a nightmare. Anyone saw how Klopp reacted to the journalist after the first game asking whether there is a failure in the making for the start of the season? Klopp was ranting and saying that that is nonsense. Now I think it is not nonsense anymore. 2 out of 9 points is a little crisis in my opinion. Now even losing all 3 points against a team that failed at the start themselves makes things even worse.

Liverpool really had a lot of problems in this game, they couldn't create many chances although I don't think they were too bad. An unexpectedly better Manchester United made Liverpool's defense unable to do much when his two goals landed against Allison. Really something unexpected this week because everyone believes Liverpool will not be difficult to win this one match.

Now that Salah scores, it would be better but considering there is so little time left then Liverpool look set to lose and walk out of Old Trafford with no points. But let's see.

damn, I placed a bet for Liverpool win, it's really unlucky day  Roll Eyes

From what I've noticed, Mane's departure really had a big impact on Liverpool's attacking line, Mane is very good at set pieces and Liverpool has lost someone like him

Based  on the results so far from this premier league competition, showed that Liverpool has what it takes to defeat Manchester united 3-1 to improve their points because their coach will not be happy if Manchester united win this match. I think, Liverpool midfielders and strikers are very ready to work together to ensure they make their fans happy and to alert other strong teams that they are well prepared to embrace this season title. If Manchester united coach can make their defense more stronger in this match, it will not be easy for Liverpool to achieve much goals from this match like the way Brentford defeated them in their last match.
Honestly league could be anything and we wouldn't really know what's going on. I am not saying that United will win, it would be a big shock to see United win against Liverpool, but could you say that it wasn't a shock when Leeds beat Chelsea 3-0 as well? Who could say they expected that? Of course, it was a bad situation and that is why I feel like we are going to end up feeling the same problem again when United plays against Liverpool we won't be seeing 100% guaranteed result neither.

It's going to be quite tough situation and I am guessing that not many people will be ready to see what's going to happen if they go against their expectations as well.
