I agree with you that it is not always possible to select a favorite team based on the results of the previous match or the last match. But I don't think Tottenham will lose points against Leicester. I think the chances of the match being a draw are low.
Before the match started, I was also confident that Tottenham would win the match. Maybe I underestimated Leicester City in the match. Leicester City's performance was not so good in the first half of the match, Tottenham dominated the match, but the second half was just different. Tottenham couldn’t get a full point in the match, they were able to get just 1 point in the match. Leicester played well in the second half. Maybe we shouldn’t underestimate any club that has just been promoted to the Premier League.

The result of the game is just surprising because most people never expect a draw in the match, since we all know Tottenham not to be a strong team, and they will also want to get their full points in their first match, but the point was shared.

The second half has just kicked off. I’m expecting more goals in the second half but not more than three goals in the favour of Tottenham Hotspur. When you look at the first half stats, it is no surprise that Leicester City are losing the game. Tottenham controlled the game in the first half, they dominated the ball possession and were clinical in front of goal. It is one goal separating the two teams at the moment, can Leicester City come back into the game?
We have just few minutes to the end of the game, the score remains 1-1 because Jamie Vardy leveled the score for Leicester City in the 57th minutes of the match and they maintain their defensive quality to avoid more goals in the game because Tottenham is completely dominating the game and might win in the final minutes if they are lucky.

I was doubting Leicester City’s quality because they change coach and some of their players left them after they won the Championship under the management of Vincent Kompany, now I will not underrate them and they are out of my relegation team plan because with the number of players they have lost is much, and yet, they are playing very well.

I wasn't aware that Vardy is still playing there as I thought I read some article where he was considering to step down, but there he is. What a legend that guy is for Leicester City. There aren't a lot of players who are successful like him and accept to be relegated with a club, go through all the mess and bring the club back up into the Premier League. That's some real character and now he is still scoring against teams like Tottenham. If he plays a good season this might not even be his last year at Leicester City.

Game is finished at 1-1 and Vardy scored the decisive goal for Leicester. What a great story that is and yes, he is one of these players that I feel happy for when they still score. To not lose this game is a good start for them as the truth probably is that they will face a very tough season. Tottenham should have won this one as they have been in the driving seat almost the entire game. Is Tottenham missing some players currently as I am not familiar with all the names?

Leicester City of course after struggling to break into the EPL league again they will give their best, especially this match played in front of their own supporters will certainly be more motivation. Indeed, Tottenham has good capital when playing against Leicester City because they performed well in pre-season only losing to Bayer Munich and the last meeting of the two teams was also Tottenham superior.

However, usually the results of head to head and the last meeting certainly cannot be a benchmark for the match later because of course both teams will definitely show their best performance in order to win their first match this season. Because the first match will greatly affect the next match, I predict this match will end in a draw. Overall, in the first match usually there are many mistakes made by both teams.
In my opinion, pre-season doesn't mean much to judge a team's performance in official matches. The match is expected to be tight between the two and several goals are likely to grace the scoreboard. Tottenham is certainly better in terms of squad strength, but I personally do not underestimate Leicester City, which this season was promoted to the Premier League.

Leicester are not favorites to win their home game against Tottenham, but this probability could change if Leicester play better than expected. Tottenham's victory tends to be realistic to expect, but it remains that both teams have the opportunity to win.

At the moment the match is almost over and the last 10 minutes are starting and we can say that Leicester are doing well. Even despite the match and looking only at the statistics we can say that Tottenham is pressing Leicester on all parameters, it is evident even if you just watch the match, but nevertheless Leicester managed to equalise. I want to believe that Leicester will at least draw their first match after returning to the EPL

Tottenham team is not weak this season. I have seen their overall gameplay in friendly matches. Despite not performing as well as expected in the friendly matches, I think this team's match strategy is good. More importantly, Leicester City's squad is not strong. If Leicester City's attack is strong, the match is likely to be a draw. But in the match probably Leicester City will play defensive strategy and try to draw the match. Let's see if Leicester City can pick up any points from the match.

You can tell already that Leicester City are just managing the game, they are weak and for the 67 minutes played, they have only had 1 shot on target while Tottenham has 7 shorts on target. They be like they want to skin Leicester City because all they are doing right now is just defending and no much attacking from them and the way Tottenham are fighting to have space within Leicester City midfield, they will bag another goal soon.

I want too see Leicester do well this season. It wouldn't be nice after making it out of the lower division to Premier League and still doesn't make it out of the relegation in the end. This was how Luton Town and Burnley had a great start of Championship and then end up in the relegation later, hopefully we see some changes this time.

Even though Leicester were out of the premier league last season but if you check in their premier league history, they mostly win matches when they are playing away than their home ground and initially now, Tottenham is beaten them by 0:1 in the first half of the game and i am not going to expect anything less than a win for Tottenham because they possess the ball more and have had several shots on target so before the match ends they can still have the chance to score more goals maybe the both teams can score because Leicester can still score a goal in this match considering the fact that they won the championship before they gain promotion again to the premier league so they will want to show some strength.

Watching this game now I see Leicester doesn't look much prepared for the premier league because from how they are playing against Tottenham it's not encouraging and if they continue in this way they may likely not achieve any good position in the league table. I was thinking that after Leicester city were relegated and they were opportune to return back, there could have been some changes in the team but they haven't really shown any good signs of being better than they were before they were relegated.

Later tonight in the English Premier League, newly promoted side Leicester City will host Tottenham Hotspur in their first league game of the season and I've been curious to know what most of us thinks about this game. For me, I think the away team is more likely to get a better result but that I don't think will come easily considering the fact that the game will be played at King Power stadium. What's your take on the game? Do you think the home team will win or the visiting team will get the better of them?

Leicester City back to the Premier League again after went to relegation for last season, can history repeat itself for Leicester City after this their come back? For what happens in 2015/16 season, there are many tougher team now than then, I don't think it possible for them currently, checking their last five matches they only had a win and lost 4 matches which show they can be able to compete as 2015/16 season.

On the other hand Tottenham have a lot of mistakes to correct because they don't want what happened in last season should repeat itself again, after starting well last season they encountered some challenges due to injuries and that really affected their performance because getting a placement was very difficult and that how they lose their best form.

Firstly the syndrome of promoted teams to fall back to the championship is something that I think wouldn’t happen to Leicester city this season. They are regulars here and they surely know how to play the league, the Coach Steve Copper was here last season and has experience. Many other players have same experience, my only worry for them is the point deduction I hope it doesn’t hold them back.

As for Tottenham I believe this is a make or break season for Ange Postecoglu, he went down last season after a brilliant start but that was due to lack of a striker now he has Solanke at his disposal who I think is a very good signing. So for both clubs the season will be a very good and exciting one for them, both have potentials to go for European places

Chelsea and Manchester City played an important match in the first week. Manchester City managed to defeat their opponent away. Chelsea didn't play badly either. Manchester City have an established squad and manager. Therefore, they were the more advantageous side and got the win.
Brentford won 2-1 against Crystal Palace and became one of the teams that closed the first week with 3 points. Although Crystal Palace was one better than their opponent, they failed to win.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Tottenham last season started well, kept among the leaders for a long time, but faced problems due to the composition of the players. Despite this, the team managed to finish in fifth place, getting into the European Cup zone. Now Tottenham is stable and ready for the new season. The team traditionally starts the season confidently and often shows a productive game. Taking into account that Leicester has just returned to the Premier League and is still adapting, Tottenham looks stronger and capable of winning this match.

Tottenham Hotspur clearly has the better chance in this match and I think they can only get better this season. They should not find this match very hard to win but they need to be very serious about it and put all they got in order to have a good starts in the season. Leicester City is a club that just came back from the league relegation and will want to start the season on a good note also. Starting off the season with a defeat may not mean well for their future prospects in the league this season, so they’ll show all their best in this match and try and come out victorious, reason why Tottenham should not take this match slightly and be more serious with winning the match also.
I maintain my stance that I do not believe that Tottenham has a better chance of winning the match tonight. Tottenham finished 5th position last season in the English Premier League while Leicester finished first position in the championship. I mean this is a match between fifth position in the EPL and the champions of championship. In the other hand we all know that Leicester City is a product of English Premier League and they have been here for a while. It was just a little slip last season that sent them to championship and it didn't take any long to bring them back to the English Premier League. This means they still understand the pressure, tactics s and what it takes to remain in the English Premier League. It would be very unfair that we underrate them against Tottenham. They should only be underrated against teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United or Arsenal.
It is almost 25mins into the first half and there's no, which means it's possible to end the first half goaless.

Leicester are not favorites to win their home game against Tottenham, but this probability could change if Leicester play better than expected. Tottenham's victory tends to be realistic to expect, but it remains that both teams have the opportunity to win.
Kick off begins now and we'll have to wait and see what happens in this match.
In terms of favorites, it is clear that although the host, Leicester's probability for the bookmakers is still smaller than that of Tottenham so it is clear that Tottenham is still favored in this match.
Tottenham appear confident with their 4-3-3 formation. in addition, they also immediately gave a good position to their new player Dominic Solanke who immediately became the line up in this match.
With the price spent quite expensive for Solanke in this season for Tottenham it looks like they expect a lot from this striker in the ongoing season.

I think this match will still be quite interesting especially even though Leicester are currently a promotion club in the EPL but their experience to face a big enough club like Tottenham cannot be underestimated because Leicester could make a breakthrough again in their first season after last season they were relegated.

Leicester City XI: Hermansen, Justin, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Winks, Ndidi, Fatawu, Buonanotte, Decordova-Reid, Vardy.

In terms of statistics, they are not too different from Manchester City, but there are several things that make them lose in this match, such as when their defense cannot read the movement without the ball from Manchester City and of course finishing is still not too good to date.
An empty 2 score where one of the goals was scored by a former player himself looks a little painful actually but indeed in this case I don't feel strange if Chelsea lost the big match this time because it is certain that Manchester City is clearly the favorite from the start.

But of course there is a little hope for Enzo Maresca when he can slightly overshadow Manchester City's performance even though they can't get points but they must realize that their performance is still lagging behind if the goal is to be better than the previous season which means this they must continue to improve their performance to be even better.

Yes the stats shows how they were able to hold onto possession most at times even way better than Manchester city but this is certainly not new because last season we saw the same thing between this two. Chelsea to me are usually very serious against Manchester city just like last season but as usual they lack the same things they lacked last season which is lack of a clinical striker to help kill the game before it even started, Jackson was just simply doing tricks and no end product. Another major Chelsea problem is the lack of creativity in the midfield, the combination of Lavia, Caicedo and Enzo simple adds just energy to the midfield and not creativity which I think moving Palmer there could help solve because Enzo isn’t that flexible to play there
That is what Enzo Maresca must realize at this time because after all, even though in the end their statistics are good, but at several other points such as the problem of poor finishing and the strength of the defensive line which sometimes still relies on each other between one player and another, it will clearly make them still lose the match.
If we refer to Chelsea's performance last season they also actually look the same where Chelsea can always make some breakthroughs from possession and create many opportunities.   But that didnt bring them to a stable performance for the final result because they were so easy to concede goals and difficult to finish which made their goal productivity not too good.

Enzo still has to work harder because if in the end it's just possession and good statistics without any goals to be scored then everything will remain the same and it's not impossible that the coaching career at Chelsea will not be long.

Even if we know that Chelsea performance sometimes is not encouraging but this there match against Manchester City I don't think is right for us to judge them because we had already know that Manchester City performance is more higher than Chelsea and besides even if Manchester City win the match but we annot also forget that Chelsea tried there best, so I think the only time we should judge or have a doubt about Chelsea performance is only when they are not able to win there next match against wolves that's when we can say that they have a weak team because already wolves is not that good on this season so they shouldn't be a too much problem for Chelsea.
We really shouldn't draw conclusions too quickly just based on the initial match. We have to be patient and wait for more matches to be played by them. And we must also remember that their new coach must adapt first. Because the season has just started and losing to Man City is quite natural. Maybe you are right, we might have to first see the results of the next match, namely next week when Chelsea face Wolves. Chelsea have indeed tried as best as they can and well we shouldn't have too high hopes for this squad which is full of young players. because young players sometimes need to adapt longer than experienced players.

Concluding based on the first match performance is never the right to do and like I said I will not blame Chelsea for losing the match because there new coach has not really identify the best way for them so perhaps after losing that match he would be able to understand the things that should be done in other to be getting the wining they deserve, however if i may ask what do you think about the Manchester City team this season, do you believe that they would be as good as they are last season?, because watching there match against Chelsea nothing has really change about them and instead they have even improve a lot and I believe they would be very consistent on this season because they would also like to retain the trophy again.

Today Leicester City and Tottenham will be the last teams to open the league. Tottenham start the league well every year but can't make it back. I think they will start with a win today as well. It's a tough away game, but Tottenham will get 3 points with their quality squad. Last year Leicester City won the game here 4-1, Tottenham will want revenge. The matches between these two teams are usually high scoring, so a bet of over 2.5 goals or more is a good bet.

I'm sure many people are favorites for Manchester City to win against Chelsea and I'm also sure many people are betting on Manchester City winning and I personally also bet on Manchester City winning and my guess is also correct that Haaland score a goal.

now Manchester City in its first match in the EPL has shown its good quality and Pep is really serious about being able to win Chelsea and now Manchester City has managed to win the match and has won 3 points of course this is a good start for Manchester City and of course it is certain for the match Next, Manchester City will definitely appear confident against Ipswich because Ipswich in its first match in the EPL this season against Liverpool, Ipswich lost with a score of 0-2 and I am also sure that against Manchester City, Manchester City will have great potential to win against Ipswich.

but I hope that Pep can continue to make Manchester City better and look after his players so that no one gets injured, especially key players like De Bruyne and Haaland and I am sure that if De Bruyne and Haaland are injured it will definitely have the potential to make Manchester City's performance decline.
Enzo Maresca and Chelsea fans are saying the same thing. In their opinion, Chelsea had a good performance but unfortunately for them they had a bad result. Im giving Chelsea a break because they are still finding their way with the new manager. Enzo Maresca made an error in placing Cole Palmer in the right side, he was lost in the game and couldn’t perform at all. It’s annoying that Chelsea bought this many players and cannot score goals.

Manchester City were not going to lose their first match in the EPL. To be fair to Chelsea, there’s no team in the EPL that could have faced Manchester City and have a different result. Manchester City will always come on top.
