The match was quite tight and even though Tottenham were able to dominate the game, Leicester City were still able to develop their game in that match, so we didn't see a monotonous and one-sided match in that match because Leicester City was also able to trouble Tottenham defense, however, apart from this match, to be honest, I quite applaud Jamie Vardy loyalty to Leicester City at the moment, even when his other teammates are currently has playing for other teams, but he is actually very loyal to the Foxes to this day.
There is no doubt that Tottenham dominated the match. But Leicester City managed to live up to their expectations. Leicester City's aim was to draw the match and gain 1 point. Leicester City played defensively from the start of the match. Leicester City knew very well that victory against Tottenham was very difficult. That's why they played defensive from the start of the match.

Tottenham's players have 71% of the ball possession. Even a lot of attacks have been done by Tottenham players. Even then they could not break the defense of Leicester City. I wouldn't say Tottenham played badly. But Tottenham should have won this match. Tottenham failed.
From the statistics that I observed in the match it was quite simple if Leicester used the defensive strategy to target Tottenham's attacking players and did not give Tottenham's opportunity.
Son became Tottenham's mainstay player but just look at how he hardly had the opportunity to get a chance to score because he continued to get an obstacle from Leicester's defense.
While Leicester play prioritizing defense but also looking for opportunities to be able to break into Tottenham's goal and in the end Tottenham's defense off guard when Leicester began to attack.
1 point is pretty good compared to losing points in the match early season.

In the first half of this match we did not see any attack from the Leicester City players. This team played badly defensively. However, at the end of the first half, Leicester City was 1-0 behind. But in the second half they changed their match strategy. They kept to themselves. and tried to score by counter-attacking. Leicester City were successful in the end. Leicester City equalized with Vardy's goal.

Leicester City have had a good start to the season. Leicester's squad is not that strong. This team will be targeting to stay away from the relegation zone. And if they maintain such consistency, Leicester will not fall into the relegation zone.

I feel the Chelsea coach should be given an ample time for him to make mistakes and correct them, aspectations are high and everybody is literally on his neck because they want to see a new Chelsea this season which is not a wrong expectation.
Chelsea haven’t got much time for that, they want to see a speedy progress at the start of the season haven’t been very active in the transfer market and with the couches to have come and gone too soon without living much for Chelsea.

It would be foolish to expect a better performance from Chelsea. Maybe the team's performance will stabilize a bit. But I don't think Chelsea deserve to be in the top four of the points table at the moment. This club has a lot of internal problems. The management of the club is not experienced and this is their first weakness.

However, this season too, Chelsea will form a squad with a new coach. Looking forward to seeing if Enzo Maresca will make Chelsea stronger again. But the Chelsea team is in a very bad position right now. Rapid improvement is not possible for this team. But if Maresca has long term plan then maybe Chelsea's overall situation will change slowly and we will see stable performance from Chelsea.

In the closing match of the week, we watched Leicester City and Totthenham. Totthenham played good football in the match but failed to win away from home. Jamie Vardy scored early in the second half and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Of course I expected Tottenham to win this game because they are the favorites and it would be advantageous for them to start the league well.  The fact that Vardy is still performing like this at the age of 38 is a real bonus for Leicester.

Jamie Vardy used to be one of key players in Leicester City and the 15th top scorer in English Premier League of all time. Unfortunately he is getting older and at the same time Leicester City is no longer a top team fighting for the title.
This first month, Leicester City doesn't have hard games to play except that one against Tottenham Hotspur in which they managed to pick a point. The second hard game will against Aston Villa which aren't that easy to won.

Jamie Vardy is still an impressive striker and a good goal scorer and I like the fact that he has devoted his time for Leicester city, it shows his true love for Leicester city as he has been able to win two championship titles and a premier league trophy for the foxes and considering the fact he is 37 years means he is quite old and nearing the retirement of his football career but still being able to score goals for the team regardless of his age means he has really done so well for Leicester city and i commend him for scoring the equalizer against Tottenham. It's not easy coming back to the premier league and meet a team like Tottenham Hotspurs and still achieved a point against them it shows how determined the Leicester city players are now that they have returned back to the premier league and I believe they gonna make more improvements in their next games.

Too bad for them there first game was Manchester City but, this should be a push to how much they need to put in for the points.

there is a far cry for a new striker which I think is a genuine one, because M.Jackson hasn't been living to his expectations, as he clearly doesn't make use of opportunities when it presents itself, so instead managing a bad situations, they should rather get a complete striker that can score on a regular basis.
Here we thought M. Jackson would do better this season. He’s been reached out to by his icon Drogba for motivations, he got some numbers in goals last season but, he needs to star for Chelsea, that’s his job.

Had the lead in the first half but Tottenham were unable to maintain their position so they had to be satisfied with a draw and only managed to get 1 point from their away match in the first week. They played well by dominating the match and creating several opportunities, but Leicester performed well in blocking every attack launched by Tottenham.
Yes, Vardy was the difference for Leicester, he was able to save his team from defeat after scoring a goal early in the second half to balance the score. Even though he is old, he can still be relied on in Leicester's front line, obviously that is a good thing, especially as we know that this is the Premier League which is not easy for an old player.

By the way, Jamie Vardy is 37 years old and not 38 years old, him being in the starting line-up in the match against Tottenham surprised me, even though Steve Cooper has Stephy Mavididi as a fairly mature player in their squad. Both teams did not get the results they expected, Leicester hoped to get 3 points because they were playing at home, while Tottenham hoped for 3 points because they were considered a better team than Leicester.
I think Leicester are hoping for three points but considering the opponent is strong, it will count for them. Tottenham is one of the best teams in the Premier League. Leicester, who have just been promoted to the Premier League, should consider themselves lucky to not lose in their first match. At least they managed to leave the match with a point. As for Jamie Vardy, this will probably be his last season and he will wear the same team's jersey when he retires from football.

I was so surprised how so many people thought that Tottenham would easily win Leicester City. The easily forgot that Leicester City is an English Premier League club. For the fact that they were relegated to the championship does not mean that they have forgotten how English Premier League used to be. I know too well that this season, Leicester City is going to give surprise fight against the top clubs in the English Premier League.

Speaking about Jamie Vardy, I wasn't surprised that he was able to score because I know he is a good striker. Any striker that scores in English Premier League can score in any other league and would not easily forget how to score. If you check his body language before scoring the goal, you will understand that he was so casual that the defenders thought that was not planning to make a move. That's why he was loosely marked.

A little nostalgia with Leicester City return to the Premier League and Vardy still sticking with the club even when they were relegated. Vardy's age is increasing and that affects his productivity, but Leicester City is a club that is difficult to predict at the moment, for example Tottenham were made to struggle when facing several deadly attacks built by Leicester City. Plus last season Spurs were a team that could be said to be quite good at the beginning of the season but unfortunately could not survive until the end.

Spurs will be really disappointed to drop points after leading but it’s always difficult against newly promoted teams at the start of a new season.

Vardy is nearly 38 years old, incredible that he’s still scoring goals at the top level.

This season might be the season that we'll see some disappointing performance from Cole Palmer, although the game against Manchester City was the first game but it seems like this man Enzo Maresca is not really giving Palmer the position he needed to excel in the game, the fans wasn't impressed with how slow he was in that game against City and to be honest Enzo Maresca is some how killing the team with lack of understanding of the players positions, he doesn't know what to do when he's under pressure and because of that the sub he makes ain't suppose to be.
This is the time to blow the minds of the fans but the coach is  the obstacle behind Chelsea's success, without letting the key players do their thing then I don't see the Blues doing well, he should let Cole Palmer be at the middle of the game because you already have Nkunku running from the wing, to say the truth about Palmer, he's not going to be as sharp as he was last season.

Not a bad start for Leicester City and they still need to prepare themselves, because their biggest challenge will only begin when they face giant English teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Man United.

Chelsea started the league very badly by losing two-nil to Manchester City at home. They might have had a chance against Manchester City but they could not do it. I am very curious about Chelsea's situation in the rest of the league. As we know, they recovered towards the end of the league last year. Despite this, they changed managers and were defeated in their first official match. Since Manchester City is the opponent, this defeat can be accepted to some extent, but we need to see what they will do in the other matches.
This is the problem about all this, in as much as I hate to say it, but we all can agree Chelsea as fallen somehow to a mid team from the fact that they losing to Manchester City is now understandable/fair gone are the days when we all will speak highly disappointed at this.

I hope Enzo Maresca's would eat his pride and accept Sanchez shouldn't be starting and Todd Boehly's getting a better 9 because Jackson is too mid for us, he should be loan  or at most a third choice

Despite the club owner willingness to splurge part of his wealth in the transfer market for Chelsea to recruit the new players according to the newly appointed manager wish list, Chelsea still lost their opening match against Manchester City in front of their home fans. I guess it will not take a long time for Chelsea to replace their club manager once again if the new manager are only able to lead Chelsea hovering around the middle of the table throughout the whole new season.

The issues with Chelsea from last season, the friendly games played has always been obvious. It's no other than a clinical finisher, a proven striker who can convert whatever chances they have created. Todd Boehly has just been overdoing honestly. He has just decided to spend stupidly rather than solve the main issue.

Well, I will say they played well but then, it's good to see the disappointing results so that fans can send Todd Boehly a clear message that they're not satisfied with his transfer if he fails to land a concrete central forward before the transfer window comes to an end. Sacking the new manager? I won't be boggled, he's not the first and won't be the last. Doing that though displays how poor the management of Chelsea has been.

Below is the image of Jamie Vardy updating Tottenham Hotspur fans that he's won the Premier League Competition and they yet to win nothing. He was responsible for the equalizer last night, should have scored a late winner but good goalkeeping from  Viacario who successfully cleared that ball away as they salvaged a point outta the game.

I feel the Chelsea coach should be given an ample time for him to make mistakes and correct them, aspectations are high and everybody is literally on his neck because they want to see a new Chelsea this season which is not a wrong expectation. there is a far cry for a new striker which I think is a genuine one, because M.Jackson hasn't been living to his expectations, as he clearly doesn't make use of opportunities when it presents itself, so instead managing a bad situations, they should rather get a complete striker that can score on a regular basis.

The other day, I saw a video of John obi Mikel, a foremost Chelsea defensive midfield, who was ranting passionately about Chelsea not performing to the expectations of the fans, he literally said "Chelsea is drifting towards a mediocre team" that is getting to a point of being comfortable with sitting on a the 10th position.

But for me I feel all of these discussions is necessary because is a pointer to the fact that the Chelsea team needs to improve on their performance and everybody is pointing fingers to one or two issues they can find out as default.

Jamie Vardy, despite his age, has not lost much of his performance. Leicester gained a point with him and the opposing team was a very tough, strong team. Even if Tottenham wanted three points in this match, Leicester did not allow it. Jamie Vardy had the biggest share of this one point. In another important match, Chelsea started the league very badly by losing two-nil to Manchester City at home. They might have had a chance against Manchester City but they could not do it. His great love for Leicester made Jamie Vardy stay at Leicester, even though last season Leicester only played in the second division of the Premier League sure in the Championship. With that great love, Jamie Vardy managed to get Leicester back to playing in the Premier League this season and Leicester became a promotion team. I am sure, not all players are able to do great things like Jamie Vardy, even though he is 37 years old at this time, but Jamie Vardy still plays to the maximum to provide good results for his favorite team.

Unlike other old players, because they will play in different leagues and teams or about leagues that have an easier level of difficulty and competition than the Premier League. Therefore, even though Leicester only got a draw but for me it was still a good result for Leicester because its status this season is a promotion team.

Jamie started to make his name in Premier League with Leicester City when he was no longer a young player. He already got a successful career with Leicester City and won one league title with them, made his name in top scorers list of Premier League. It's impressive and it's unreasonable to ask him playing well as same as many years ago when he was much younger than now.

I believe that Leicester City are realistic with their target rank in this season. As a promoted club from Championship, and with their past experience in Premier League, they know well about high competitiveness of the league and they will aim at ending at a position that can help them to stay in Premier League next season. It's most important and biggest target of Leicester City in a first season rejoining the league.

Jammy Vardy proved that he is still able to play in the EPL despite his old age. His success in scoring a goal was celebrated quite emotionally while giving a signal to the home fans who mocked him that he and Leicester had succeeded in winning the EPL title compared to Spurs who always failed to achieve their dream. I am still quite sure that Vardy will continue to score goals throughout this season even though not as much as before and Leicester's chances of staying in the EPL are also quite big.

Yeah Jamie Vardy is still reliable but what I have to appreciate is Leicester City defense which is so tough Tottenham played aggressively with 15 shots and 71% ball possession but Tottenham were only able to score one goal or draw it's clearly a great achievement from Leicester City, if Leicester City's defense is weak then at least Tottenham can score 2-3 goals. For now both teams should be in the middle of the standings and I'm still waiting for Leicester City's performance for the next few matches I wonder if they can repeat the success of 2016. Of the 3 promoted teams this season, only Leicester City has a good performance while the other 2 teams seem to be struggling to compete Ipswich Town and Southampton lose in the first match.

Disappointment was clearly visible on Ange Postecoglou face after his team was held to a draw by Leicester City. Tottenham, who played away at the King Power Stadium, were highly favored to win the match due to Leicester status as a promoted team. Tottenham dominated the game with 70 percent possession and managed to fire off 15 shots, seven of which were on target. Their efforts to win the first game were thwarted by Jamie Vardy's goal, Tottenham had to go home with one point because they were unable to score any additional goals in the remaining match.
Tottenham played very well in this match and managed to dominate the home team, but due to poor finishing they had to be satisfied with a draw. Ange Postecoglou must immediately fix the weaknesses of his front line in finishing, the sharpness of the front line needs to be considered to achieve maximum results in the next game against Everton.
