Arsenal were on their lucky day today against Burnley. They overwhelmed their opponent in both halves of the game but still they drew with Burnley in Emirates by a 0-0 result. Burnley resisted them really well and they should be grateful for not conceding even one goal against a this much dominant team. But this wouldn't change things for Arsenal much of course. They are still playing very well and they are most likely to end the season at a decent position in the standings.
The board of members should debate on how to get players this season when the transfer speculations begin; it will do them much good if they can get a couple of players to replace worn out s...
The consequence of not signing players was the draw against Burnley. They failed to break down Burnley, of all clubs. January is about to be over already because when I looked at the Arsenal bench against Burnley, I discovered that Top Four is a dream that may never come through this season. Most of the players on the bench lack experience. How will Arsenal make the top four with no signing in January. Same story! For now, Arsenal have no business in the Champions League as the squad depth is not there. Lack of foresight from the coach and the board. They knew January was coming and players will leave for Afcon, yet they stayed slumbering. Clearly, Lokonga can’t fill in for Partey or Xhaka. Yet they sent AMN on loan and didn’t bother to recall some loan players.

When we look at the last four seasons of the Premier League, we see that Manchester City became the champions for three times and Liverpool were the champions for only once. None of the remaining teams have been able to win the title. And this will be the case for this season too as it seems. Again, one of these teams will be the champions. But rather than seeing Manchester City, I would prefer seeing Liverpool reaching the title. I wouldn't like to see Manchester City turning into Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. It'd make the league too boring.

The Premier League will never be like the Bundesliga. Manchester City have won the title 3 times out of last 4 seasons. But the road to winning the title was not easy for them. Manchester City's coaches are experienced, they spend enough money to sort out the team. However, in almost every season, the teams have to fight hard to win the title. And only the qualified team can win the title. There is no place for incompetent teams here. Whenever a team loses form or continuity, they lose their position in the points table.
Take Chelsea as an example. They have played poorly in a few matches, and their hopes of winning the title have already been dashed. And the points are likely to go further down the table.

It is really good to watch the Premier League even if you're not a fan of any team. The competition just makes people watch the league every week without missing the games of the big teams especially. Actually, nearly all of the games are quite enjoyable to watch. Because all of the Premier League teams have a good potential inside them. They all can play really delightful when they really want. This is the thing we all want to see in every league actually.

I cannot ever be a Chelsea fan even if I wanted to,,, forever stuck with Spurs, but of course you cannot help but admire good players, no matter which club they play for, and for me the more important thing than their skills is their attitude and I agree Ziyech does have a good attitude, with Mount I do not feel much and in fact with the others other than Kante I do not really feel any "metal" in their attitude other than that they all seem to be playing like they are not going at 100% yet (or are unable to?).
That is the biggest advantage of being non-UK person who watches premier league games. I do not have a team to support, I do not even know the cities too well, I barely learned where some teams are from later in my life, so I care about none of that.

To me, the most important thing is to watch good players and good teams and seeing how awesome Chelsea is playing under Tuchel is a great feeling, I love watching them playing great and dominating games sometimes, they have a great motivation I suppose or discipline. Watching players like Ziyech really makes it fun to be a football fan, watching all kinds of players that play great performances out of nowhere. Like Watford sucks but Ben Foster is a great goalkeeper if you ask me, even at his age, so when you are non-UK then you end up finding good players in every single team to enjoy when watching the game.

You have to see that currently, Man United is in 4th position and if you are still not convinced, in the previous 5 games Man United has improved in beating the opponent. From 5 matches including FA Cup with Aston Villa in 3rd Round, 4 wins by narrow score, and 1 draw against Aston Villa in Premier League. So far I think Man United made a few moves although not as significant as possible.
I understand that, Man United need an adjustment process with Rangnick. I think whoever the coach is they need adaptation. That adaptation has been a long way off and now Man United have played like Rangnick's will. The movement of seizing the ball is very visible, they simultaneously presing on the opposing player. At least a few wins have given Man United the chance to keep going to ucl next season. "I think at the moment Man United is still unstable.
Manchester united performance isn't by merit I think it's more of luck and it's working for them. They are yet to build a strong team base even though the narrowly find their way to either win or draw in which the comfortably draw most of the times and in some cases still lose their games. Their game against west ham is just a fresh picture of what Manchester games looks like I just wish Rangnick could possibly make good improvement on their team
Manchester United has been shaking since the appointment of the new manager and it should take sometime to adapt with Ralf and this is if they can’t be patient but I don’t think anyone can right now, there has been a lot of easy giveaway of balls and lack of ball controls, Manchester United can’t hold a possession for 3 mins even when playing  against smaller teams and I think Ralf doesn’t have a personality tactic right now he is still randomly picking which one suits each match they play. Let’s see if there would be some good midfield play when pogba comes back.

Current Point table is very difficult to predict who will be in top 4.And very difficult to predict who will win the Leaugue Title. My prediction goes to Man city. They are playing really well and their team combination wonderful. Upcoming all matches very important for all.But opportunity is very near I think city.I hope city will win the Leaugue title in 2021/2022.
See Liverpool and Chelsea? well neither of them wanted to miss the train to be in second place. Liverpool who has a game on 11 February may be able to keep Chelsea away from while until 19 February Chelsea will follow by scoring against Crystal Palace, while Liverpool of Leicester City is a bit tough to pick up big points.

Now hear me out, Manchester United is in fourth place with 38 points, and they don't really seem to advance any further than the fourth place because there is a huge point difference between the teams above them.
Not for now yeah but getting 4th is good enough for now because Rangnick is just an interim manager and all he needs to do right now is to make sure the team doesnt fall out of the UCL for next season. Thats pretty much the bare minimum that he needs to achieve this season, well yeah if he could get atleast top 2 than that would be great
But the problem is they cannot afford to lose matches from now on because that team in fifth place has 37 points.
But on the positive side, Manchester United have played 1 less match.
That is what I have been saying is Manchester United does not seem to be very reliable and a lot of people think that they are just lucky to be able to
score at the 93rd minute. In a lot of matches they have scored after 90 minutes and in extra time to save their one point or gain the whole three points.

So if they keep winning they can easily hold the fourth position. And there is no question about them improving their game than before. Now they are producing much better results. But I have to say I expected more from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Well actually did you watch the last game though? It was a close, that last minute tap in from Rashford saved the team.
Now I know they have done well to get to fourth place but if they are going to be able to hold that position is a big ask right now.
But I believe if Cristiano Ronaldo can perform better they will be able to do it.

.
Great hopes indeed rested on the shoulders of Ronaldo, who had said he would be the top scorer in the future. Hopefully it will really come true. There is still great hope and a chance if in the next match it is really used as well as possible to maintain its position in the fourth seat. An ordeal that will surely make West Ham steal the ideal gap again. Comparison of 1 point will be very vulnerable for both of them.
Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be out of sorts at times in Manchester United and he surely does not have the same flair with him that he did in the past.
And for Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo is a Big win condition.
And if he cannot play at his best or perform on a regular basis then Manchester United is surely going to have problems.

Manchester United have made a good comeback but we have to wait and see if they can hold their fourth position because the points difference is not very large.

West Ham is surprise package for this season under Moyes just because of this no team was taking them serious, but they have done extraordinary job sadly now they are slipping and having some serious trouble to hold their position which is very important if they need to stay at top then surely improve their some quality.
I think Davic has really done a great job in Westham ever since he has been there, this should be one of their best seasons in recent years now, seeing how serous the players plays and how the movement around the midfield and attack has been so far shows how determined how serous the coach and players has been, although there has been some setbacks and layoffs in some matches, they have been good this season and there is still a lot of all round improvements.

Liverpool must be happy that they won and Manchester City lost points on the last week. They dropped the gap by two more points now and it is nine now. And Liverpool have a missing game to be played later also. If they manage to make it six points, then the title rivalry would really fire up again. Manchester City really seemed like they were going to pull away more and win another comfortable title this season. But it looks like Liverpool can get really close to them in time. After that, we will see which team are the better one for this season.

Looking at the current Premier League standings, it is difficult for me to predict who will be in the top 4 at the end of the season. Because the difference in points between Manchester United, Westham, Arsenal and Tottenham is very close, even from the 8th position which is now occupied by Wolves is only 4 points. If one of them fails to win, it will certainly change the standings. This makes me excited to see this competition.
The victory over West Ham made the Manchester United players very happy because the addition of 3 points made them managed to climb to the top 4 of the Premier League. Now who is the candidate for the English league is no longer the main topic, The reason is that Manchester City can certainly win the English Premier League for the 2021-2022 season. The media are more focused on who will represent the Premier League who will qualify for the UCL next season.
West Ham, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves have the same chances as Manchester United. Their points are quite close, Mistakes in 1 game will make changes in the standings.

Tottenham benefited a bit, because they've only played 20 games, but not a guarantee for Tottenham can finish in the top 4 at the end of the season. It is quite difficult to guess who will occupy the top 4 positions, but it's very exciting to see the struggle for position 4 until the end of the season.
Some teams do have some postponed matches, but still that can't guarantee they will occupy the top 4 positions at the end of the season, now the teams fighting for the top 4 must be able to maintain performance and consistency in their game, because as you said , if they lose poin in just one match will automatically be an advantage for the other team, and make their chances of reaching the top 4 will be even more difficult.

The turnout for Manchester City this season based on the turnout in this thread is - 43 (37.4%), more than any team in the favorites on the thread and of course Manchester City have proven it so far. Even though this season is still quite long, their provisional points are worthy enough to call Manchester City a candidate for champions this season.

After they failed to get 3 points in the previous match, then in the next match we will see them return to winning ways to widen the gap with Liverpool. I have no doubts about their quality and ability, so far they haven't disappointed enough in the Premier League.

It's a bit difficult to predict from now on because the unexpected result came suddenly like Man city yesterday no one expected them to only draw against Southampton
When I check Man city upcoming match they only have 3 big matches  VS Tottenham, Man united and Liverpool others are weak teams but that's not a guarantee Man city will win we already saw an example in yesterday's match, that's why i see the competition is very open.

Yes, it is still difficult to predict the potential champion this season. Even though the opportunity are better for City now, the results on the fields are not a math results. I do think there is an opportunity for Liverpool, but that doesn't mean it's will be, same for City. Because the points gap can be far if every subsequent game Liverpool experience a decline in performance. I'm sure Guardiola will start to give a warning for his team to not to give a single points to opponents in the next matches. Because one defeat can be a bad momentum for them.

Indeed, if it is calculated mathematically today, it still cannot be stated that City will be the winner.  From 38 matches, for today there is still a comparison between winning the title and the health of the players and this is still average in activity especially still in the 24th match. I hope City's condition can still maintain their strategy, so that the instability of the previous team, namely Man United  .

I voted for City to win so I hope to win too Grin
City has comforting points difference from the others clubs but it still requires to win to stay safe which is possible imo. Liverpool is following it but they dropped some points which permitted to City to run away a bit. Not sure if Liverpool will be able to keep always winning.
Otherwise City, Liverpool, Chelsea will stay on top. So the real battle is for the 4th place between ManU, Arsenal and Spurs imo. West Ham doesn't seem to be solid for that fight.

one of the factors to make them go down is maybe taking advantage of their pretty busy schedule and this must be maximized well next week they will face fullham in the FA Cup and maybe this will not have much impact because I feel they will display some of their reserves. but maybe for UCL this will be different, even though they will be seeded against Sporting CP. But of course this will make them think again in concocting racik so that the players are not tired to face tottenham.
This tight schedule must be used by other teams so that City can at least not go too far in getting points

It is true that in football anything can happen, even in the Champions League. But it will be very difficult for Sporting CP to create great wear on Man City. They can make it difficult to attack, because they play very defensively and not against attack, but create difficulties I have serious doubts.
on the other hand this will also be a gamble for Pep in managing their squad so they don't get tired.
For UCL, I think maybe it's sporting here if they can't keep up with the city's movements, of course they will focus on defending and relying on counter attacks and at least get a draw.
It is very interesting what steps Pep will show in gathering a team with a busy schedule and many big matches in it.

Arsenal is my favorite for top 4 having made some consistent improvement in their performance, they were last on EPL table after first three games but later picked form and moved above Tottenham, Man Utd, West ham and other clubs, however presently it like they have lose form but trying to perform well again, while tottenham lost their first match last weekend since Conte took charge though had been consistent too, however I don't think they will clinch the top 4 despite having some outstanding matches, while it's obvious Man Utd has been very inconsistent and unpredictable in their performance once UCL resume they will struggle in the league.
Arsenal have a chance to end the season in the top 4, but in my opinion it is a difficult thing for them to do, arsenal's game is starting to improve but they often lack consistency in the face of important matches, it seems when they got a draw against Burnley yesterday because if arsenal were able to win in that match, of course they would now be able to penetrate the top 4 positions by shifting the position of manchester, but unfortunately arsenal failed to win even though in that match they had the ball throughout the match.

It all depends on which of the contenders (Tottenham, Arsenal and United) will be able to give a good series of games and score a lot of points. At the moment I would say that Tottenham is the favorite (they have the fewest lost points from this trio). But Arsenal and Tottenham have already made good streaks, maybe now it's United's turn?
a very capable competitor to sit in the top 4 is tottenham ,a favorite for me too ! M.united maybe desperately fighting for that position but with a formula that is not yet right it looks like it will be difficult to defend it ,and I think this is dejavu looking back to 2018-2019
