So, Eddie Howe is the next Newcastle manager. Deal to be announced today, it's until 2024.
They tried with Conte, ten Hag and Emery, all 3 refused the job. Fonseca was apparently close as well.
Howe is not a big name, but a coach who I liked and thought that he deserved a bigger chance. However, this feels too big and too early for him. Still, Newcastle had to do something - they are in a real relegation battle.
A first big task ahead for Howe as the new manager of Newcastle is to win his first game against in-form Brighton, it is a pity that Howes has to take the job as Magpies manager when they are in a 10 matches winless runs, however they still stand a chance of escaping relegation considering the narrow margin of points, between them and other teams, they have 4 points while other teams above relegation has 10 points, wining three or four matches in a row will make a difference for now.They tried with Conte, ten Hag and Emery, all 3 refused the job. I don't see a chance for Newcastle to get 3-4 wins I mean if players are still like now without any reshuffle or new players, 10 games without a win is bad and unmotivated
Whoever the coach is, it will be difficult to raise the morale of the players who have fallen there is no other way except to be active in the transfer market IMO.
Everything depends on the team's performance in the upcoming derby and, to a greater extent, the final score. I think that a draw and a small loss will leave Solskjaer at the helm of the teams and only a loss with an indecent score, such as a recent loss in a meeting with Liverpool, can fire the coach. Manchester United has a rich history and great ambitions, so any coach at its head cannot feel in constant confidence and only good team results can guarantee safety for a while. The only thing is that the club should not rely constantly on Ronaldo's role as a savior in the last minutes of the match and achieve the result more confidently.
