At least in pre-season matches Arsenal did not show a decline, especially with several players already brought in by Arteta, therefore the point of weakness can be overcome and when competing with Man City they are ready with everything that happens when they meet.

Yes, Arsenal's impressive win over Leverkusen in their friendly match was interesting. We know Leverkusen won the Bundesliga and their game was fantastic but they did not perform very well in the friendly match against Arsenal as they managed to score only one goal. However, Arsenal played brilliantly and scored four goals, their game performance was outstanding as they scored three goals in the first half. Later in the game Leverkusen tried hard to equalize but were unable to succeed, although they had the most possession in the match but still did not win against Arsenal. I can't seem to get where you're driving at but if you ask me I don't see Chelsea playing anything reasonable in that encounter against Madrid and is so painful that I had to waste my time to witness all those horrible mistakes from the back line, the players are not even energetic and the pace to track back is a big problem and you say these are the guys to be ready for the new season ahead? As I said before I predict 3 teams that have a chance to win the title Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea I place these teams based on their chances. For Arsenal if they don't get a new striker maybe they will stay under Manchester City while Chelsea are so far unpredictable but based on their squad they have the ability.

The pre season matches may not be taken seriously by some team but I don't support the idea of accepting to play a game when you know that your team will not be serious in the game. I think Arsenal has really shown their readiness to fight for the English Premier League trophy next season because from the look of things they may be challenging Manchester City for the third time in a roll but since Manchester city has been doing very well in their pre season games also I think we should expect an excellent performance from both teams come next season.
