~ And check their match history..  Southampton hasn't won in their last 6 matches vs NUFC.
Yeah this is the reason why I'm a bit reluctant to bet on Southampton despite the fact that they haven't lost in their last five matches while winning four of them.

I'm just gonna experiment on the total goals and put a small bet on over 2.5 as I expect a 2-1 score line. Odds at 1.86 seems good enough.

When Cengiz Ünder starts doing his best for Leicester City, we will see better wing games.  Last match he gave Vardy a nice assist.  Although Leicester does not start well, he will be placed high in the premier league.

^  Ings is injured and prolly couldn't play for like a month or so.

I picked draw at the pool but I bet Newcastle double chance at 1.91.  And check their match history..  Southampton hasn't won in their last 6 matches vs NUFC.

Going for Brighton and my hunch might even be to go with Newcastle though the form looks opposite they can be fighters.
Brighton is my pick for today as well. They are playing quite well and it simply has to reward them in one match. Why not this one against Burnley, they are much softer side this season.

In the Southampton game I am sort of torn between taking home win or both to score. Will probably do both bets for half the stakes and maybe even another bet builder with something like:
Southampton win
Ings scores
Wilson scores

Should be value in that bet today.

I think that in today's games will win Brighton and Southampton... I do not count on beautiful soccer, but Southampton vs Newcastle can be interesting... Although the premier league this year pleases the matches...

That 5-0 was years ago in 2017 and that 4-0 was the first match after it was clear Liverpool would win the title last season. They probably still had a hangover back then Grin What I try to say: I don't think that these previous matches mean that much. With Citys current form I don't see them as the favourites in that match. But as you said Liverpool has its problems in the defense, now even without VVD. So a hard match to predict. My gut tells me Liverpool will take this one but betting-wise it would probably make more sense to go for BTTS or over 2.5.

Yeah, I agree it's not that relevant, but as a player you remember it somewhere in the back of your head. There are stadiums/places where you feel confident playing and some where you do not.
No matter the circumstances, these losses are among the worst for Liverpool under Klopp and they do give a bit of the psychological advantage to City.

I agree on BTTS and over 2.5, but the odds will probably be low on both.

I am optimistic that Man. United managemet has considered firing Ole if no improvements in the near future.
Manutd is no longer a team under pressure to win a trophy they are more comfortable with their champions league spot that was the only objective Ole had last season which he delivered. News coming from different channels had it that Ole is fully backed by the club management after the news of Poch taking over.

What happen with Manchester United right now, why Ole keep stay as Manchester United manager? I think he was failed with Manchester United~
It is not things happening with them right now but has happened last 3 years.

It is a too bad performance. From 6 matches, they only win 2 times, get draw 1 time, and 3 losses. I agree that Man. United need a new coach, Ole can't motivate the players to improve their performances. Instead, Ole sometimes chooses the wrong players as the starters and bad strategy to play.
Bad performance now and I was shocked that everytime Manchester United performance sudden improved in a few matches, the coach position of Ole was protected as no bad things happened before. He has big support from the board.

I don't know what the board members are thinking now. Are they disappointed or tired of bad performance from Ole? Or they still bet on future forms of Bruno or Cavani?

I think that Chelsea have the potential to be the champion this season. They are playing better than the last season with their new transfers. Most people think Liverpool or Manchester City will do it but I would like to see a different team than Liverpool and Manchester City to be the champion this season.
Right now talking about Champion is too early as we have very long season and mostly we have some good and solid positions after December break so for me currently we have few teams those can claim title this year and these are Liverpool, Manchester City, Leciester City, Chelsea and Tottenham because these all are doing very good and need sometime for more better and aggressive results Arsenal and Manchester United are not in this race as they have some serious problems which need to settle for this all.
Bookmakers choose liverpool and manchester city as the favorites to win the premier league this season , chelsea are not included eventhough they have bought a promising young talents such as werner and havertz , it takes time for them to adapted,  liverpool so far is the one who showing a consistency as manchester city looks struggling in the first 6 matches.

And both Manchester City & liverpool will face each other this sunday , i believe it would be an interesting match with lots of goals scored. This pandemic makes everyone loves scoring goals isn't it?

the first match after it was clear Liverpool would win the title last season.

Yeah it was but Liverpool was playing with their best squad back then as it seems like Klopp still wants to fire in some action but it turned out that City actually dominate the game

With Citys current form I don't see them as the favourites in that match.

In fact all bookies made them as the favourites to win with odds of around 2 and Liverpool to win with odds over 3.

So a hard match to predict. My gut tells me Liverpool will take this one but betting-wise it would probably make more sense to go for BTTS or over 2.5.

Its not that hard to see the clear favourites. Liverpool is definitely the clear favourites to win this game. Jota is probably in his best form , Both Salah and Mane are ready to play anytime so yeah Liverpool is the clear favourites for the game but both Liverpool and City are two Clubs that relied heavily on attacking so things could really go south in this game.

Getting both team to score should be the optimal bet for this game but the odds are pretty low at around 1.4

City won the last 3 league games at the Etihad quite dominantly - it was 5-0, 2-1 and 4-0. Liverpool will have a really tough game there without Van Dijk and Fabinho and with Matip doubtful (he was on the bench against Atalanta but it's still not decided if he'll start).

If Phillips starts, I'm sure that we will lose. Not because he's so terrible at defending but because his passing game simply is not good enough and City will force our play through him.
I really hope Matip is fit for the game, City is also missing a few good attacking options but overall is going into the game in better condition.

Personally, City's a favorite. But considering how things are going this season, a 4-0 Liverpool win would not surprise me at all.

Before lockdown Liverpool had only one draw and one loss, however we have to realize inside just 7 games they have played this year, they are already at 1 draw and 1 loss, which shows us that they will probably do a lot worse in the next games compared to last year. Do you think they could win 22 games in a row without having any draw or loss?

If not, that means this season will be worse than last season. Now that doesn't mean they will lose bunch of points back to back, but I feel like if you are City, you could still technically manage to close that gap if you have a great momentum. What City needs is the power of Liverpool before lockdown this year, which is a rare thing to happen but if City plays like that and Liverpool keeps playing like this, even losing this week wouldn't change much for City.

My favorite team for this season is again Liverpool. Although I was shocked by the match that Aston Villa demolished Liverpool, I think they are still playing at a very high level. They showed that with the huge win they took against Atalanta on Tuesday. Chelsea have signed good players this season and I think they can finish the league at the top 3. I also think that the last team that can make it to the top 3 can be Tottenham or Leicester. Both of them are making an impression that they are very dedicated this season. Lastly, I think the surprise team of this season is Everton. They have started the league very good. If they maintain this performance, they can finish the league at a very good place.

Here is why I think Liverpool will win over Man City. For the last few matches, Man City hasn’t been able to score more than one goal, and most of those were made by Raheem Sterling, whereas Liverpool has easily put in at least 2 goals in all it’s EPL matches. I could even predict the correct score will be 1 - 2, but that is obviously risky as Liverpool might score more goals. Asian total over 3, and LFC Asian Handicap -1 sound like safer bets.

If you are so sure that Liverpool will win then you should place a good amount of money on them since the odds is around 3.3-3.4
You will have a nice profit if the match will end as what you expect but you should not force yourself to bet more than what you cant afford to lose.
I wont underestimate City as they are going to play on their own home although there will be no 12th players (fans) but being a home team is still an advantage.
I think double chance Draw or Liverpool is a good choice with nice odds (around 1.Cool

Man City vs Liverpool is the most exciting game this weekend. If either team can manage a win it could be a real psychological lift & make them believe that they can become champion. I do have a feeling it could he a draw though.
It seems that Manchester City must be careful, Liverpol has just won 5-0 vs Atlanta. New player Liverpol , Diogo Jota scored a hat trick against Atalanta. When compared to Atalanta I think City are better. But I think Liverpol is excited and has a lot of confidence. As for the final result I think Liverpol will win by one goal difference.
