Well after a couple of quirky and unexpected results.

Where do we all stand? who are the standout performers?

I'm a bit late to the party as I didn't have much time to write, but this weekend had so man good matches in all leagues. Happy that WBA managed to get the point against Chelsea even though they deserved 3 and were a bit robbed by VAR.

Man Utd was criminal and Ole needs to go as fast as possible. Biggest joy was watching the foxes demolish Man City. They are looking really solid so far and I would put them as a standout so far for this season. I think they have potential, not for the title though, but you never know. Nobody believed in them when they won the title either Cheesy

As far as tonight s match, I have a feeling that Liverpool will score 3+ goals and take the easy win over the Gunners, since I don't support either of the teams I just want a lot of goals and an exciting match.

Huge burden on Arsenal players today as they need to play against Liverpool, Liverpool just seems to be demolishing any teams they play against in the English Premier League, if Arsenal could not stop Liverpool from claiming 3 points today, I guess all other favorite teams to compete with Liverpool for the English Premier League champions title this season would be in a bad position as those teams are already starting to lose crucial points against weaker teams.

A profitable weekend again  Cool
Nice! i had a good weekend too but mainly cuz i avoided the EPL, otherwise, i coulda lost some mbtc cuz i would've backed the favs to win (chelsea, wolves, city)  Tongue

but i'm gonna put some coins on both matches tonight: i have Aston Villa handicap at 2,09 odds...the Cottagers are out of form, and Villa were pretty good in their last 3 games (1 in the league, 2 in the league cup). For the big game, i'm taking Sportsbet promo with boosted odds (BTTS & O2.5 goals)

Everton have had a fantastic start of the season showing some exciting football (the Jamez Rodriguez factor?)...if they can keep up this good form until mid October, then we could have a cracking Merseyside derby

A beautiful premier league weekend, with everyone exposing their bias comments and review. Manchester City was massacred today by the Leicester team and then everyone suddenly blames the backline. Why not appreciate the winning team?

If Manchester united loses or lampard, the narrative is that they are poor coaches, and pogba is a bad player, but when city loses, suddenly pep is not at fault and everyone neglects Debruyne disasterclass performances.

A beautiful premier league season, but var is causing confusion with several irregular decisions.
Should we expect a liverpool massive performance tomorrow?  or an arsenal victory?

I don't think it's biased but City were the odds on favorite to win and when they do lose it's usually due to errors made and people are just pointing that out, but that's not to take anything away from Leicester but Manchester City did give away two silly penalties. Leicester's non-penalty goals were world class though so I'll give them that. I can't wait to watch City vs Leeds next weekend. Who knows what will happen in that game. If City play with the same team I think there could be some a lot of goals from both sides as Leeds have been scoring a lot but also conceding. If City have their full team out they should probably beat the quite easy but Liverpool didn't manage that so who knows.

Liverpool Vs Arsenal is a big clash of the week, with Both Manchester teams dropping points and Chelsea suffering a loss and Spur getting just a point, Arsenal have a chance to rival Liverpool for a position at the top of the standings.

I am rooting for Arsenal win or draw, with Alisson out, Auba can get a goal, and Arsenal can rival liverpool midfield without Thiago
Over 2.5 goals is expected.

Since I didn't have time to bet for the cup matches during the week, I'm looking forward to the third matchday in the Premier League.

Brighton vs Manchester United # win of ManU @ 1.72

WestBrom vs Chelsea # win of Chelsea @ 1.45

ManCity vs Leichester # double Chance Leichester @ 3.53
Usually I would go for a win of ManCity. But ManCity announced today that Jesus is injured and now the team does not have a real good striker for the upcoming match. Therefore I give Leichester a chance to achieve at least a draw. The odds are good as well.

A profitable weekend again  Cool

Although only two out of three bets were correct, I still more than doubled my stake. Funnily enough, the bet I was most confident of (win of Chelsea against WestBrom) was lost. ManU won as expected, even with a lot of luck. I was best with my guess that Leichester could achieve a draw or win against ManCity. I did not expect them to win 2:5 in the end. This confirms my impression that I wrote here a few weeks ago that I don't think ManCity will win the championship this year. The team is worse than last year and Pep can't give the team much more. He will definitely leave ManCity at the end of the season.

He def could but I got a weird feeling he won't until he wins the CL with City.  Dunno.

Anyway, I fear for them vs Leeds.  Bielsa's pretty clever and he does play his squads to use a counter pressing style which Pep's squads seem to play weak against.

Profitable weekend you say!🤔 Except to the bet platforms though👍
The results across leagues wasn't friendly to big teams at all.
Imagine Manchester City loosing 2-5 goals at home against Leicester city. Not to talk of Bayern Munich in bundlesliga having the same score line 1-4 against Hoffenham. 3 goals down both cases.
Tottenham and Chelsea being tied to a draw! It's being an awful weekend for bettors.

Read my post and the post I quoted properly and you will understand that "profitable weekend" is not (only) related to bookmarkers  Wink
And by the way, bookmakers always make a profit regardless of whether the favorite or outsider team wins. The odds adapt themselves so that the bookmarker always comes out with a profit.
So mate what do you mean by the profitable weekend if it's not bookmaker related? What other profit are we talking about here? I know bookies makes money every day but last weekend was higher compared to the previous weekends

2 games will be played today between Fullham - Aston Villa and Liverpool - Arsenal.
The first game is very unpredictable, odds are slightly better for Villa x2.55 vs x2.95...
For Liverpool game odds are way different with x1.55 vs x5.6 for Arsenal! I don't know why it is so big, gunners played good lately and with shit happening in the previous days everything is possible!
I dunno but I feel like Fullham and LFC will win their games.

Fulham and Villa are both candidates to leave Premier league this season, and I would predict draw in this match, but would not put that on the ticket

on the other hand, Liverpool quote is too good, even that Arsenal played well at the start of the season, Liverpool is a strong favorite in this match, and i think that they will win, could not say how many goals, but both-to-score could be a good option as well, since both teams are scoring well, but Liverpool to win is a stronger option IMO

I predict a boring match and maybe they'll cancel each other out. Gone for a draw on the PL predictor. I certainly can't back a favourite, though maybe there's a slight home advantage and Villa did beat Sheff United at home on their first game.

I’m reading that Alisson & Thiago might miss the game through injury tonight, I’ll be disappointed if that’s true. Apparently they both have a late fitness test today to check on their availability for tonight.

I still think we’ll (LFC) win but would be great to see Thiago make his home debut. Adrian worries me so hope Alisson is fit.

Great  Roll Eyes. That would make the match even harder to predict. I also think Liverpool should win though a draw wouldn't surprise me but I'm still going to back the home side. Arsenal have won all their games so far but haven't really been against any decent teams, both arguable relegation favourites or certainly contenders.

Arsenal is not bad and they already have a win against Liverpool from few weeks ago so they can walk away with a point for sure. Hovever I am also skiping 1x2 markets on this game. There is no value on Liverpool win since the odds are what they are and I belive LFC should win this 3:1 or something like that. I will take both to score @1.65 on this match just to make it more fun to watch Smiley

Actually, a draw (if you mean the Community shield). We lost 5-4 on penalties and were better throughout the game.

BTTS looks decent at 1.65, especially if Liverpool will be without Alisson. I think I'll go with the same, that way I can both enjoy the game and hope Arsenal will score when they are 3-0 down Grin

Hmmm with this Alisson news I don't see Liverpool taking home the 3, points thiago does not matter in this Liverpool team now so the only bad news here is Alisson I'm going for a draw game

Its still too early to decides this. The fact that both teams are bad actually makes this interesting, they probably notice that it will be hard for them to get 3 points from the other team so both will want to secure that 3 points. There is no point for both team to go with their usual defensive style as both teams are bad in this case so both will go for attack instead which means Aston Villa could be in better shape after their last win against Sheffield

2 Goals for Aston Villa, or 1 probably and it would be a decent option to go for a No on both team to score

I agree that without supporters odds on away teams should not be that high. Arsenal is a good team and 5.6 looks like a good value bet.

I will skip it though, I think Liverpool will have enough to beat Arsenal today. Their playstyle suits Liverpool, the Gunners will try to attack and will be left vulnerable on the counterattacks, especially with slow midfield (Xhaka).

If I was not a Liverpool supporter, I'd probably go for x2. However, I will not bet and then hope my ticket will fail Grin

I am also expecting a draw here, but more importantly I am expecting goals. Both of these teams will see this game as the one they have to win and hopefully that will result with 1:1 or 2:2 scoreline. I am betting both to score @1.8 which seams like a nice value for me so this one will be for much higher stake than LFC-Arsenal match.

I'm looking forward to the Liverpool game. as a fan of liverpool i hope Liverpool will crush the arsenal. But speaking rationally without feelings Arsenal is playing very well this season, Arsenal won two games and won against Leicester who yesterday simply crushed Manchester city. I would not underestimate Arsenal

The first game is very unpredictable, odds are slightly better for Villa x2.55 vs x2.95...

I won't bet on that game.

with shit happening in the previous days everything is possible!

yesterday there were many goals but goals scored by teams that I did not expect

I dunno but I feel like Fullham and LFC will win their games.

Aston villa has difficulty scoring many goals in the premier league, if I were to place a bet I would also bet that Fullham will win that the game
