Chelsea just showed once again that is one of the most unstable teams during this year. They win games which are really difficult to win and they fail to win easy games like this one.
You're right. Chelsea is too unstable this season. They win against tough opponents but share points against easy opponents. I think they are focusing mainly on the Champions League this season so they are not performing as well as expected in the Premier League. Otherwise, they would not have performed so badly against a small team like Brighton.

I too was very surprised that Chelsea couldn't win the match versus Brighton yesterday, but anything can happen in a match, even a weak team can possibly win a strong team. Chelsea won the FA because they have the hope they can win the cup this season, but can not win premier league this season again, though Chelsea must be very careful as they are in the fourth position and only surpassing West Ham with just goals as they have the same points, so can be able to automatically qualify for the next Champions League.

Speaking of Chelsea, I've also heard that Chelsea and Manchester City are preparing to leave the European Super League. And the other teams in this tournament also are going to hold a meeting to think about revoking it. It looks like this tournament will end already before starting.  Grin

It was shocking news to me when watching CNN I've heard both   Chelsea and Manchester City are going to leave the European Super League and their decision is final. They said several other teams prepare as well. Interested what those others are and why all of them decided to leave. I think they’re  going to lose from this move, nothing positive for their fans.

Yeah, it will be hard for these clubs to act like nothing happened. These incidents will be remembered in the future too. Stepping back from this move will not change things very easily.

The Chelsea vs Brighton match was one of the boring game so far this season, the players were looking fragile and out of shape, nothing was working in the attack section, Brighton was even looking more dangerous in the attack than Chelsea. Another chance of getting into the top 3 ahead of Leicester missed.

They have to flip their plans under the pressure from Premier League, UEFA and FIFA. They will change their minds and plans when Super League is in place and officially goes life without restrictions from UEFA or FIFA. I doubt that the Super League will become true.

In my opinion, I consider it as a net attempt from super clubs in the Europe in order to pass the pressure to UEFA to change the Champions League's structure (acceptable clubs, allocation spots to big leagues) and furthermore, higher financial allocation for super clubs. I guess it is the ultimate aim of super clubs when they planed and announced that news.

Super clubs are in financial debts and they need bigger budget from UEFA. Same as super stars when they said "I will no longer play for the club if my salary requirement won't be fullfilled". At the ends, they stay and get double salary. Smiley

Damn, Chelsea failed to win at home today vs Brighton. Tuchel must be very disappointed by this result because winning is a must for Chelsea. Before that, I didn't expect that Brighton would bring trouble for Chelsea because many thought that Chelsea was against a weak team. But even though today Chelsea dominated the match, no goals were scored until the end. Really bad luck for them even though 4th place was secured.
i wasn't expecting to see Chelsea failing to win either, but you can't say that Brighton is a weak team, they managed to beat Tottenham and Liverpool back to back in the premiere league this season, so they're not really that weak, no team is weak in the premiere league.
Surely many also don't expect Chelsea to only get one point in the match against Brighton, if they are able to win they will immediately be in 3rd place and Leicester will drop to 4.
It is precisely the nickname of a weak team that can make the teams in the top position let their guard down when dealing with them, so there are top team loses with a large enough score.
Many gamblers have lost their bets in this match. I also bet on Chelsea's victory. I never thought they would share points with a small team like Brighton. If they won this match, they would have a chance to move to third place on the points table. Chelsea played badly in this match so the match was drawn. They will have to play more carefully in future matches.

Too much has happened in football over the last few days. I just realized it now. They may not simply resign from the ESL if later demand are made by the ESL against the team involved. Based on the information I read, these teams had to pay fine if they decided to resign from ESL for breaching the contract. I don't have any accurate news on the matter yet, but it is true that football is in chaos. Meanwhile, FIFA also does not want this ESL competition because according to him it will destroy the existing order in Europe.

Meanwhile, perhaps I will not ignore the current match that is taking place. Chelsea have struggled to score against Brighton so far, there were no goals until the first half was over. It is unfortunate if their great opportunity today should be thwarted by Brighton.

Chelsea were not good enough against Brighton in this game and it ended 0-0. But still Chelsea have managed to leave West Ham behind in the table and they've taken the 4th place. But on the last 4 weeks, they got only one win which means that they should improve their performance.

the world of football is in shambles and you guys are talking about Chelsea - Brighton, ffs!  Cheesy

Ed Woodward has resigned as chairman of Manchester United

Because this is an EPL prediction thread and not ESL discussion topic Wink
I honestly was thinking about reporting all off-topic posts talking about ESL, since there is already a topic talking about it, but I didn't do it at the end. Dunno what @Trofo think about this mess, but please let's keep ESL stuff out of this topic.
Obviously E.W resignation is related to both leagues (if ESL will stay in the next hours/days) so I think it is ok to mention it here Wink

Edit: BTW, another disappointing result from Chelsea!

From what I've learnt so far, it said that his resignation has got nothing to do with the backlash received from the European Super League Saga, and he'll remain as the club's chairman until the end of the year.
idk what to believe, some say he resigned after the failure of the ESL, some others say that he finally decided to step down after years of failure and this was the perfect time to do so...
it's just insane that the resigned right in the middle of one the biggest shitshows in modern football. Now there are rumous that the Glazers could be leave too!? fans couldn't be happier LOL

I think that today a lot of people will bet on Chelsea, but this can be dangerous for this match, when everyone is betting on one team, then unexpected sensations happen. Although Brighton is not in the relegation zone, he is still fight for survive. For Chelsea, this win is also very important, because they will be able to enter the top three leaders of the championship. The match will be interesting and challenging for both teams, but I will expect Chelsea to win.

This match was quite disappointing for me with a draw score.  Statistically, Chelsea was better and will be the winner but from the first half it was clear they didn't have many chances to score.  And Brigthon is quite good at maneuvering the counter-attacks to the Chelsea team.  Here I don't see a match between the top teams and the bottom teams, because so far Brighton has been pretty good at defending their goal.  Even though it ended with getting a red card.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Brighton & Hove Albion

A boring draw here tonight in Stamford Bridge; with Brighton being the most focal and attacking team and even struck the bar after drawing out multiple saves from the chelsea goalkeeper; Chelsea meanwhile were lacklustre going forward and will have to make do with a draw tonight; the draw meanwhile takes them 4th, level of point with West Ham who they play this weekend. The race for champions league football thicken up.
A boring draw for sure but, I think Chelsea played a lot better than Brighton Hove Albion tonight. From the look of things, they could have won, having over 5 shorts on target but, it just wasn't there day. I naturally expected them to have taken this chance in the league and get ahead, having the home advantage and are the better team but it seems Thomas Tuchel had other plans, espec6with the UCL semi finals coming up next week. Tuchel isn't bread to take any chances with the fitness of his players so, they've got to play safe, giving Leicester City the chance to stay ahead.

Chelsea Vs Brighton
All I see in this match is either Chelsea will win or they draw. Am very sure Brighton can't beat Chelsea because Chelsea is at home and also they needs the winning 3 point in order to slide higher on the table.

Brighton is close to the relegation zone. Them losing to chelsea will kick them into relegation, that means they have to level up for them to escape relegation zone. The only easily way is to win more matches . I believe Brighton can do more better.

Chaos at its peak, when I thought playing football was the worse thing that happened to football at large, it's about the same time last year when all football events were getting suspended simultaneously, and here we are again.

From what I've learnt so far, it said that his resignation has got nothing to do with the backlash received from the European Super League Saga, and he'll remain as the club's chairman until the end of the year.
