betting on MU is quite risky. although the Odds offered will benefit MU, its performance is unstable. on paper, MU should be able to get a winning point even though playing at Southampton's home ground. but still, I'm not sure about Ten Hag. I actually hope Southampton will give a surprise by beating MU. many fans are disappointed with Ten Hag and urge management to immediately fire him. I think it's not without reason because so much money has been spent to recruit players but the strategy implemented by Ten Hag has never succeeded in improving MU's game.
Fans who are already disappointed with Ten Hag's leadership really hope that MU will lose at Southampton headquarters, they are tired of MU performance which has not improved and want his position to be replaced by another coach immediately. I wouldn't bet on United winning this match even though on paper they can win this match because their H2H shows that United always have a hard time beating Southampton. A surprise could happen, especially as the home team is desperate to win, perhaps MU fans will side with Southampton and hope they can beat MU so that Ten Hag can be sacked soon.

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹
Manchester United have a head to head that has dominated the victory over Southampton, so no one doubts that Manchester United will win to Southampton in the match, but there is no harm in talking about the potential surprises that might be present in this match, especially indeed Manchester United is in bad form and Ten Hag is currently under pressure to be fired from Manchester United, in terms of player quality of course Manchester United is much better than Southampton and it is true that Southampton is currently weaker than Fulham, but we can't judging a match only based on head to head so far, we must to learn from last season where Manchester United also lost several times to quite weak teams, so I think all possibilities could happen in that the match, especially in the their last few meet  it is very visible if Manchester United has a really hard time beating Southampton.

Currently, people consider it too risky to bet on Manchester United, the team is currently in a lot of disappointment. Of course, you are right, there is a lot of frustration working with Manchester United coach Ten Haag at the moment.
Moreover, Manchester United's hope of winning at Southampton's home ground will be very low. Southampton can beat Manchester United if they have a strong attack, and Manchester United's current game situation is not improving at all. So Manchester United's Odds should not be expected to win, although MU has a chance to win, but it is definitely risky, and I think Southampton will play their best in today's match and not let Manchester United win easily at home.

Considering the level of inconsistency in the Manchester United team under Erik ten Hag, I don't think there's anything wrong with your opinion is absolutely valid. If Manchester City or Liverpool were to be the team that's facing Southampton this weekend, I'm very sure you'll have a different opinion but because it's Manchester United, there's every possibility that they'll be beaten by the Saints.
Inconsistency does not give Ten Hag right or privilege to fail match to match, and if he performs like this, he will lose his job. It's easy, as a boss, assume I am, I care more about results, temporary results and plan for future. But having 2 seasons and this one is a third season, but fail to get acceptable temporary results, is bad enough to forget about any good long term plan. When belief is destroyed, a long term plan will become bad and unbelievable, the contract will be terminated.

Ten Hag must know that risk increases with time and each poor performance, and he must wake up as soon as possible for bringing good results to Manchester United boss. Competing with Manchester City and Liverpool in this season is impossible for Ten Hag and Manchester United because their quality is not good enough.

As it is now, I think man united are the most risky team for any one to even out their money cause that club is just something else and the worse part is that the whole management of the club are actually fine seeing that the dutch man is making things worse day by day because I know ten hag was due for sack with the dreadful way he played and performed with Manchester united but on the very last day he changed everyone mindset by winning the FA cup which lots of fans was happy since they took it off their city rivals.

Overall Southampton's strength is not better than Manchester United but we also have to look at the current condition of both teams, Southampton who have not yet got their best performance and Manchester United who are currently slumping because of two defeats at the beginning of this season which received a lot of criticism so because of the pressure on these two teams I think it makes both of them have great ambitions to be able to win the match so it is likely that both teams will play aggressively so regardless of what happened in the previous matches but I am sure in this match there will be many goals scored so I plan to bet on over goals in this match, I think it is quite worth it.
Playing too aggressively can also be quite fatal for both of them because it could have the potential to injure players from both teams. I think the Manchester United team must play better with their current condition and not have to be too aggressive in order to win because if there is a mistake in a more aggressive condition it will also make them lose with a counterattack from Southampton. So I just think that both teams will try their best to win and in terms of the number of goals it could be more even though my heart is more confident in victory for Manchester United in the match.

Now, and that person is me

That's why I said "if they lose" means there is still a 50% chance of winning. If I say "definitely lose" it means a 100% chance.

Isn't there anything wrong with doubting Manchester United? with Erik Ten Hag who always has difficulty utilizing his players. The goalkeeper who has inconsistent performance this season, the attack line that has no vision of scoring goals and new purchases are injured, it is no wonder to doubt the next performance against Southampton. still makes sense

The way some manager talk in the press conference is a bit disappointing, as a manager to make a name for yourself you need to change the mentality of the club you're handling and always stay positive, winning trophies is also the number 1 task you need to accomplish but Manchester United coach says things the way he feels without mind if his reputation is at stake. How can he say the team doesn't have what it takes to win trophies? Like he doesn't even have confidence in the squad he is managing even if they are not good enough to deliver but you are there as the coach to help them from that suffering stage, to me it speaks low of him that he isn't capable of managing any club.
I agree with what Cristiano Ronaldo said, it is too poor for the manager to have that weakness and even letting the public know they can't compete for any title, which means the game against Southampton is going to be a game they're going to lose. I now see why some Manchester United players perform very well when playing for their country but awfully while playing for UTD. ETH has lost it and to me he doesn't deserve the chance to continue with the club.
These managers are well trained and know how to handle the press and if you take football managers word exactly the way it is you might not actually get the message he is trying to pass. Every manager will always tell you that their squad don't have what it takes to win the trophies. In this case I think Eric Ten Hag is trying to use what is called reverse psychology on his players. And if you don't understand you might think that he's playing down the chances of his team winning trophies this season. But indirectly he is trying to ginger up the players and make them see reasons why they should up their games and prove him wrong. No manager at this early stage of the season will confidently come out openly and say his team will win trophies. The season is still long that's why he is not trying to raise the hope of the fans. What happens if he publicly say he is going to win trophies and it didn't materialize. So he is trying to keep everything on balance.

Anything can happen, because it's an away game Man United could struggle so I'll skip the bet for the team, already a few losers picked Man United to win.

Of course I myself still doubt Erik Ten Hag, their tactics have not changed in the loss they have lost several times, and that tactic is all I saw throughout the match, so it is natural that many people doubt even though the chances of winning could be above 50%.

If Man United win naturally, if they lose then don't be surprised they can lose to any team.

I wondered if I am the only one who feels like Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag did not feel disappointed when he said all those words in the press conference, imagine how a coach opens his mouth he says the team doesn't have what it takes to win a trophy, a coach can not be saying all those things that he is saying and again he is still the problem of the team, Manchester United should realize that the coach is the main problem of the team, I have never seen any coach that keeps doing the same thing that makes his team lose except Manchester united coach.

I didn't blame Ronaldo for leaving the team because he knew that the coach would never let the team improve and since when Ronaldo left the team the team never had any good strike player that could help the team and even if the team had a coach would be using player's who are not good to play game and be conceding goals, who notice that any player that left Manchester united team and goes to another team always perform well and who is the cause of the players to leave is Manchester united coach, I will keep saying it that the coach is the problem of Manchester united.

As a fan of neither clubs, both Chelsea and Manchester United are underperforming. Don’t let one small cup fool you, Manchester United are in the same position as Chelsea. In addition to Sir Alex Ferguson leaving the club, the Glazers have also not been doing too well. As a result, Manchester United have developed a pattern of blaming players. First it was Ronaldo, then Greenwood, Antony, Maguire, Sancho and now Casemiro. In Chelsea’s defense, they had a forced sale and are suffering from the decisions of owners, they could start turning things around if there is a change in ownership. For now, both sides don’t look like they will be contending for the EPL or CL anytime soon unless a drastic change happens.

Even their fans are keeping their heads down because does club are currently struggling both of them the only English clubs that are trying their best are very few. They are not just unders performing they are letting people down Manchester united been that their defense is bad and they have been looking for solution several times and they are not getting results for now and ten is now in a tight condition, because the last of solution to his defense and they really not that strong when it comes to their attack also so a couple of problems are all assembled for ten to come up with a solution. The problem currently is that the ideas are being completed, but because the ideas are ineffective, their performance has been slowed, and it is too early to be experiencing these challenges. And if they don't stop players then they will only make want to leave the club and that is why Ronaldo wanted to leave the club at all cost. Trying to guess the decision that they are going to be making is just surprising.

For this match I think I will avoid it, MU's condition is still difficult to predict, their performance has been too bad at the beginning of this season, although on paper they have a big chance
betting on MU's victory is the same as hoping for luck.
However, I suggest if anyone wants to bet it is better to draw as you said, both teams are not too dominant in scoring goals, even Southampton in the last 3 matches has only been able to score 1 goal this season.
Betting on a draw is quite risky even though it is worth it with the odds obtained but I think there are still many other better betting options, such as over or under goals.

Wait, when was people doubting Manchester United will struggle against Southampton?

Manchester United weren't win against Liverpool 2x times, Brighton, and Manchester City. These are big and strong teams, Southampton is a weak team, even weaker than Fulham, don't forget Manchester United won against Fulham.

So, speculating Manchester United will not beat Southampton is hilarious.

Yes, 'as Manchester United manager, you cannot say that you will not fight to win those titles. You have to believe that even if the team doesn't have potential. You need to have a fighting spirit and try your best.'
Remember this is Manchester United, a big team. Coach Ten Hag needs to build confidence in the players to be determined to compete no matter how difficult the situation is. Instead of showing a resigned attitude from the beginning, why didn't Coach Ten Hag say that we need to try our best? It would be better if Coach Ten Hag asked the whole team to try together, instead of talking about far-fetched things.

The away match against Southampton in the fourth round of the Premier League is of vital importance to Ten Hag. Another defeat could cause the Manchester United leadership to lose patience and decide to change the coach. In case Coach Ten Hag is fired, I hope Sir Jim Ratcliffe will bring Coach Zinedine Zidane to Old Trafford. Although I know that is far-fetched, Manchester United fans should dream, don't be helpless like Coach Ten Hag.

Guardiola is Manchester City made a lot of improvements and they have a much better team compared to the last season. I think one reason for Arsenal to lose the title to Mcnshter City is Guardiola in this team otherwise they have much better players and good teamwork but that's not enough for a race with a coach like Guardiola because compared to Arteta, Guardiola is much more experienced and when Arteta was assistant coach he was working for Guardiola in Manchester City.
Now the best thing they have to do in Manchester City is to even extend the contract of Pep Guardiola and make sure they are going to have this coach for a long time.

Arteta was close enough to become champions with Arsenal, maybe it's because of experience, maybe because of the selection of players for the team, but City still remains one step ahead of Arsenal. And if you look at all the seasons that Arteta worked at Arsenal, only in the last Arsenal did not have the usual slump during the season, while for City it is a usual thing. Arteta is still learning from his mistakes, it takes time, but I don't know, it seems to me that Guardiola will not allow Arsenal to become champions.

It appears the breaks are over and by the weekends, the club games will resume but the premier League games may be starting from Saturday and not tomorrow, I have been in anticipation of these games to see how the players will fare after the breaks, Luckily for most epl teams, they have most of their players back intact and in good form, I have seen across other domestic leagues where they have some o their players even key ones suffering injuries from the breaks after going to represent their various countries. Saturday is just few days away and we get back our club actions live, I don't have any focus particular about any player in the breaks so far so I would just see to probably taking my attention back to the premier League again and look to see what the performances would be like now.

Both Southampton and Manchester United are in desperate needs of a win in order to gain points and start climbing up the table. The 1x2 odds payout set by the bookmakers on Manchester United are looking very attractive at 1.74. Even though Manchester United are missing out a few key players due to injuries for this upcoming away match against Southampton but I think they should still be able to beat Southampton to claim a victory at the final whistle.
80% of sports gamblers will avoid this game because Southampton is an underdog team they don't have much attacking power to win against Manchester United. And the worst part is that Manchester United who is in the right position to win against Southampton cannot be trusted because of their incompetency in the league. Today they act like they are better and the next game week you see the rubbish they have been cooking. Apart from getting angry that one is a Manchester United fan, it's so painful that they don't only lose to big clubs but to underdogs. I won't be surprised if Southampton will Manchester United, not that day. This is just the beginning of the league but the Manchester United fans are already aware of their fate this season. If they make it to the top 5 and qualify for the Champions League this season, I would call it a miracle. I don't see them finishing part of the top 5. However I was expecting the fans to start saying they are in the title race, it will be so funny because last year i heard of that trash from the fans.

Southampton's best ever result against Manchester United was a draw although the last meeting at Old Trafford in 2023 also ended in a draw.
The 1.74 odds given by the bookmakers for Manchester United do not make me dare to predict it will be correct because I think the potential for another draw is still very possible.
I am more willing to bet on a draw in the 1x2 bet and under 3 considering the performance of both teams is below expectations.

Southampton this season is a promotion team but unfortunately, Southampton still looks weak to compete in the Premier League this season. Because after all, from the three matches that Southampton has played in the Premier League,  the fact is that Southampton is consistent with its defeat. Also, if I consider the three opposing teams that Southampton faced before, that these teams are also not entirely good, for example like Nottingham, even though Southampton played at home but Southampton still lost against Nottingham.

With these results and also considering the quality of Southampton at this moment, then I think it is very reasonable if Manchester United is still favored to win even though Manchester United plays away. With consideration of the previous results, then I personally do not  hesitate to choose or bet for Manchester United to win in this match, because it looks like Southampton is really at a bad level at this moment.

I believe Manchester United management needs to understand that Ten Hags is not the right person to build the team, Manchester United has more players than most of the Premier League top teams, but Ten Hag lacks the experience to build the team, how can he claim that they don't have what it takes to win the league title, that is not the best way to encourage players because every Manchester United player wants to win the league title, they are not there just to win games and finish in the top four. Before the season began, I was confident in saying that I would not be surprised if Manchester United won the league this season because of the players they bought.

I haven't liked Ten Hag's method during the last two seasons, if Ten Hag believes they don't have everything it takes to win a trophy this season, it means they won't be able to beat any of their opponents this season. And those who are betting on Manchester United to win their next game against Southampton, I believe they are putting their money in danger because the club is currently in a mess.
