Manchester United is too big to be discussed in just few replies, a place were legend are build and their poor performance went beyond recognition, among the top Premier league teams only Chelsea and Man Utd are facing serious set back but Chelsea are gradually moving red light to green lights which make people to believe in their performance and expect thru the same thing with Man Utd but unfortunately they are not picking up to the level we expect them to be, so don't get tired of it at least in this kind of discussion possible solution can be getting to fix their problems.
Chelsea and Manchester United are two teams that was known for greatness and history, they are among the top Premier League teams almost every season but these days, they are not performing to the core, the legends the team has brought up are ashamed of the team’s performance because the team is not as serious as it used to be in the past. Nevertheless, they are trying to make adjustments but the managers they both have are not helping especially Ten Hag if Manchester United.

Chelsea is having a good transformation this season under Enzo Maresca, the team looks more serious this time because the players have started performing greatly and Maresca is aiming to bring a good change to the entire squad which I think will be a good one for Chelsea but it will take some time to achieve that.

Ten Hag on the other hand has been given all the chances he deserves, but yet he is not doing the right because the team is yet to take a perfect shape as expected despite all the money the management spent to bring in young talented players.
I think Manchester United will letter sack Ten Hag of he didn’t do well this season.

I think you are sounding like a fan of Manchester United because from your write up one can easily see how you put so much emotion on your speech. Manchester United needs to be fair in their choice of players because that is one of the problems affecting the team.

Manchester United used to be the biggest team in England but now that they are having a difficult time their fans will always talk about them till the team gets better.  Southampton against Manchester United is going to be another big game and United will need to win to avoid seeing themselves occupying the bottom place in the league.
I don't know, people keep talking about Manchester United these days. Actually Manchester United is not at their best, but they get so much attention from football fans. A big name, of course Manchester United is the team that has it, but so far it's just a name.
When a once glorious club in the EPL starts performing like a second-rated team then they won't escape from being talked about by everyone. I remember last season it was Chelsea FC that were the talk of the town about their poor and inconsistent performance and this season ETH  Manchester united has taken the batting.

Quote
I don't expect much this season from Manchester United, even if I had to pick them in a poll as title winners. At least one of my hopes for them is to qualify for the Champions League next season. Ten Hag has to do this as best he can, of course it's not easy, but he has to do something good throughout this season. The international break is over, we are ready to get back to action.
One would have thought that by now Erik Ten Hag could have learnt his lessons but it's quite sad he's conservative with same tactics and techniques that are not yielding expected results and each time he's in front of the press his constant excuse for his poor decisions that have led to the underperformance of the club has been about having injury players in his team. Mehn! With this approach Manchester united ain't going to qualify for the UCL anytime soon until he adopts a different coaching model that works.

I am still waiting Federico Chiesa debut match with Liverpool because since bought from Juventus until now Arne Slot still didn't putting Federico Chiesa into Liverpool squad even when Liverpool win from Manchester United few weeks ago Federico Chiesa only watching Liverpool from the bench and the latest news i have heard is Federico Chiesa still training with Liverpool U-21 to restore his fitness condition and actually i still worried about his injured history so hopefully he will be in the good fitness during this season because Liverpool schedules is very tight so Liverpool will needed all of their current players however i still expect Federico Chiesa will be available when Liverpool playing against Nottingham Forest this weekend
Very good signing for Liverpool, I really wished Arsenal considered him in the just concluded transfer window. Chiesa is a good addition to the club and it looks like he is quickly blending in with the team. Let’s hope injuries will not be a problem for him as he decides to take on this new challenge. Liverpool have good options already and won’t want to rush him in immediately although it would be beautiful to see him start and score on his debut for Liverpool.

Manchester City winning the trophy this season is obviously a big possibility.
Unless the other teams actually start giving Manchester City a big competition instead of just pretending, Manchester City is going to win the English Premier League title again.
What have you seeing so far by predicting in that way, or it is because the Manchester City are now claim the top of standing? If yes I want you to know that this just the starting of the season; because I think it’s too early to Make this kind prediction against Manchester City, this season they will be a tough competition against three teams which are the Man united, Liverpool and Arsenal. Especially Arsenal are ready to fight any of their opponents in any angles.
Quote

I hope Arsenal is actually going to give some competition to Manchester City this time.
Arsenal have already drawn one match. But I don’t want to be too harsh on them because this is just the start of the season.
We still still have the whole season left.
So far Liverpool looks good as well. I hope the other teams will be able to play well and praying results consistently.
Otherwise, it is going to be a very hard job for them to actually challenge Manchester City for the title.
Arsenal is ready this season to complete with any teams not only the Manchester City, now you said a better statement we don’t need to hash any of the teams that are not doing well for now: since the league has not gone far, but i know those teams I mentioned earlier will give each other tough competition.

Seriously am tired of discussing Manchester United and their level of failure in the premier league. Can we just skip to other teams that are better to watch because nothing will ever change in Manchester United? From the coach to the players and everyone in that club they should be wiped out. It's becoming frustrating why Manchester United fans will never see to stop talking about their club for the past two weeks. Man U against Southampton its not the game we have on GW3 we have other games its better if we talk about them. Am tired of seeing the discussion all about Manchester United.

Maybe we should start saying that Manchester United was a big team because looking at their level of performance for quite some seasons now you can see that there is nothing big about the club anymore. I don't even see Chelsea that they are gradually escaping from their past underperforming records because since the season started we have since their back and forth  performance but let's just say they are still in a very fair situation now till the season is halved then we can be able to vehemently draw a convincible analysis about the team's performance.
Southampton match against Manchester United is still in doubt if Manchester United can confidently win that match because they are yet to give a reliable performance but if they manage and win Southampton only then can we begin to anticipate further improvements from the club but for now let's keep our fingers crossed.

Liverpool's performance has been good at the beginning of this season. but indeed a big challenge will soon come when the tight schedule they will do. but the competition with Man City will also experience the same problem.
last season Liverpool lost a lot of points to catch up with Man City and Arsenal. and they must avoid that this season if they want to compete for the trophy. I hope the competition this season will be tighter. some teams started very well, and it will only see who is more consistent.

Manchester City looks pretty strong compare to Liverpool and Arsenal, they are the only team of my favorite that I wouldn't compromised there game for another team, either straight win, over goals or win or draw x1 because right now none of their players has any injury and they don't lack any position right now but you see Arsenal, they don't have striker and Liverpool midfield is weaker than wander Waal force, if they meet other teams subsequently they will lose matches.

I'm thinking that even Arsenal might have a better place than Liverpool, I'm not blind to judge because of their Brighton fallout, they will go far but I'm not sure about going to reach Manchester City unless theirs is possibility of red cards and injuries we can't say much about. I can only imagined how Arsenal are going to celebrate this season if they manage to win Premier League this season. Grin

Considering the level of inconsistency in the Manchester United team under Erik ten Hag, I don't think there's anything wrong with your opinion is absolutely valid. If Manchester City or Liverpool were to be the team that's facing Southampton this weekend, I'm very sure you'll have a different opinion but because it's Manchester United, there's every possibility that they'll be beaten by the Saints.
It's easy to tag the Red devil's to be one of the weakest teams in the EPL at the moment, but after seeing some of its players put up a good performance in the international games...I have a feeling this could be a turning point for for the Red Devils...and by the way it's not like Southampton themselves are in such a good form that it could guarantee them that victory that is being talked about, they need to put in the work to get a goal!
The funny thing is that I do not think that they are weakest, but I think they can be. The issue is that Doncaster was right, they can win this game 5-0 and I wouldn't be shocked at all, United has what it takes to beat Southampton that easily, and it wouldn't be a shock to me if they do get a win like that, but if they lose, I wouldn't be shocked at that neither, both look quite possible.

I mean sure City could lose to some small team too, but that would be a shocking result, everyone would say it would be unexpected to see City losing, it is not unexpected to see United losing, nor winning, both are equally possible. This is the problem that they are facing right now and I have no idea what they can do to stop that, it's definitely an issue. I feel like the best thing to do right now would be just focusing on what to do, and it would be something that could make a good return on betting, I am avoiding betting on United for a while longer, it's the best way to protect myself.

it started to become visible that the club's owners were not prepared to manage the club and everything got worse because instead of selling the entire club, they only sold 27.7% to Sir Jim Ratcliffe and in practice the Glazers family is still in charge. Now Manchester United has 2 owners (Glazers and Sir Jim Ratcliffe), has 3 coaches ( Erik ten Hag Manager, René Hake Assistant Manager and Ruud van Nistelrooy Assistant Manager ), the whole club is at a very ridiculous. As long as Manchester United have these owners, they will not succeed. Unfortunately
I never knew much about Manchester United until you said all these about the club, but asking how so we come to conclusion that club owners are currently the issue behind the inability of the club to make progress, what has been their negative influence on the team, is it their choices of coaches after Alex or the class of players they sign, because I'm yet to see something solid to hold unto. If we are talking about management problems then Chelsea owners should be at the top of this clearly, they have made a lot of hard decisions that contributed to where they are now.

The much load to guarantee a successful career is not dependent on the coach or owners of the club but rather the output from each and every player on that team. In my own opinion, the owners are cleared, slightly for the coach but the players are required to carry all burdens.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹

If you want to bet on the Southampton vs Manchester United match, then you can still consider a draw or Manchester United winning over Southampton. Manchester United's winning probability is quite convincing in my opinion, but you can bet on a draw if you don't believe in the away team's chances of winning. I have confidence in Manchester United to win that match, it's good to just have fun.

Ten Hag will try to win the full 3 points in this away match following two previous defeats against Liverpool and Brighton. There is no reason for Ten Hag to remain silent on the sidelines and watch his team get beaten by a bottom team like Southampton, if he did then it would really be a shame for Ten Hag. He must find a definite solution so he can go home with a maximum of 3 points, including finding the right lineup and strategy.

Manchester United has fantastic record against Southampton and just like the red devils, they're not having a good season. They currently occupy the 19 spot on the table, having lost all matches and I'd expect a victory from United at St Mary's stadium. However, the tactics ETH is going to deploy will determine the outcome of the game. If he plays Fernandez as a stricker just as he's been doing in previous games, the team may struggle because of lack of creativity and the match may end in a stalemate. A lot of pressure is on him to turn things around after the two recent defeats, so I think he'll do all he can to give United a win.
In my opinion, there is no amount of pressure that will be on Manchester United coach and he will lose the match against Southampton. To me, losing the match against Southampton could be signing his sack letter. I trust that he understands this very well and he will work his way out to beat Southampton. Manchester United fans and management are even worried with the current position of Manchester United after playing some few matches. If any team wants to make the top four, it starts now and not in the 11th hour.

Honestly, Manchester United performance for the last two seasons has been very poor. Could you imagine that Manchester United wouldn't have been in the Europa League this season let alone to Champions League if not for the FA Cup they won. Judging by their performance this season, they might also not be in the Champions League next season.

With the present stats, Liverpool is pulling alright, they are giving this season their best. But Man City has won four consecutive seasons now, and I'm not sure they would want someone else to take the cup from them, nobody likes to be dethroned.

Saying that nobody likes to be dethroned sounds very funny because I don't know when the premier league turned to a league where a particular team keeps winning the league all the time and moreover, Manchester City has won the premiership on four consecutive seasons now so if they succeed to win this season again, the premier league will start becoming boring just like those few leagues where a particular team will dominate for more than five seasons. The competition this season is really gonna be tough because I don't think Liverpool will give up so quick like they did in previous seasons, perhaps they started pretty well so they will do everything within their capacity to make sure they keep the flag flying.

Quote
Also, Man City still have the potentials, and with what have been played, and the bar they've raised, I don't think any team is ready or prepared to challenge them because they'll also be training relentlessly.

No doubt about Manchester City having the potentials to win the league again but things may likely go differently this season, hope we are seeing what is happening to Real Madrid in the La Liga so there can be a sudden change in the premier league where Manchester City might be finding it difficult, maybe as a result of injury just like Real Madrid. The season is still new to think that those teams that mostly dominates the league will keep dominating.

Quote
They also have the top goal scorer (Halland with 7 goals in 3 games) in top 5 leagues in Europe. Halland is still young and active, ready to burn it all out to retain the trophy. So think about it , man city might win it again for the 5th season straight.

Erling Halland is a goal scorer and his goal scoring streak this season is applaudable because scoring 7 goals in just three games shows how outstanding the player is and he will still continue to score more goals because he has the spirit of goal scoring in him as he has proven himself in past seasons. I doubt if any player will beat him to win the golden boot this season because he doesn't look like he's gonna stop scoring goals. No body is doubting the possibility of Manchester City to win their first consecutive title but they ain't gonna have a smooth path.

Almost all of us have doubts about the Red Devils, whether it's the coach who is struggling to build or the quality of players who are declining. Even Marcus Rashford seems to have run out of time at United, Bruno Fernandez cannot work alone without a partner who can understand his wishes. There are so many issues we can talk about with Man United, but this week game against Southampton is a must win. Although there are a number of doubts about the club performance, at least with the opponent's condition also much worse, Erik Ten Hag can definitely benefit.
Of course, there are so many problems that are still difficult to resolve within Manchester United to this day. Whoever the coach is, Manchester United will not improve rapidly in one season. Several previous coaches have also failed with fans' high expectations, while Ten Hag will also end the same.

The performance of Manchester United players is very erratic. They are unstable, of course sometimes they can play very well and sometimes they play very badly. But it is reasonable to expect Manchester United to win against Southampton at the weekend, because Southampton are the worse team. Without a single win since the start of the season has left Southampton struggling in the relegation zone, but there is a chance of them getting back up especially to maintain their record against certain teams.

Mikel Arteta signs three-year Arsenal contract extension

Mikel Arteta signed a new three-year contract to remain as Arsenal manager, the club announced on Thursday.

ESPN reported the news earlier on Thursday, with sources adding that Arteta, 42, of Spain, will receive a significant increase on his existing £9 million-a-year ($11.7m) salary.

Arteta's contract was due to expire next summer, although he told ESPN in an exclusive interview on July 4 that he didn't "predict any issues happening" when extension talks took place and last month added that all parties would address the situation when the transfer window closed.

"I feel extremely proud, very excited and am looking forward to what is coming next. I'm proud to be where I am and have the relationships that I have with everyone at the club," Arteta said in a statement.

"I feel extremely lucky to work every single day with good people and the ambition we have here. I feel very inspired, I feel challenged, I feel supported and I want to do much more than what we've already done together."

Arsenal have always been confident that Arteta would commit his future to the club, but the news will still come as a boost as they try to topple Manchester City and win their first Premier League title since 2004.

Arsenal have finished second to City in each of the past two seasons and sought to close the gap by adding Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino over the summer, in addition to the late loan arrival of Raheem Sterling from Chelsea.

Although, when it comes to placing a bet between Manchester United and any other team they will play with regardless of the team performance, I always find it difficult to do because Manchester City performance sometimes is kind of surprising the way you think it may not go like that. And sometimes it will even go beyond your expectations. However, as for this match, I would rather place the bet on a draw and not Manchester United to win. I can't confidently give them a winning chance because of the result they had in their last matches.

Sure, Southampton is in the 19th spot in the table, so if Manchester United lose this match, then seriously, it will be a shameful thing for them, as you said, and also, it will be too bad to lose 3 matches when the season just gets started. I hope Manchester United will do everything in their power to secure the 3 points you said so they can move forward in the table too.

As long as Arne Slot is able to maintain Liverpool's performance as it is now, their dream of winning the title this season should come true. It's just that the real problem for all teams is maintaining this consistency throughout the season. And yes, I hope Liverpool can continue to be consistent with the good results they are currently having. And most importantly, Liverpool must hope that in their team there are no players who suffer injuries as has happened in several other clubs. Because if one of the core players is injured, it will usually disrupt the team's performance and a decline will occur. Currently, Arsenal and Tottenham are one of the teams that have had to give up several of their players due to injuries suffered by the players during the international break. And I actually hope that something similar doesn't happen in Liverpool. but I heard the news that Alexis Mac Allister was also injured. If that's true then this is bad news for Liverpool. But fortunately, the latest news states that the Liverpool player did not suffer a serious injury.

Liverpool's performance has been good at the beginning of this season. but indeed a big challenge will soon come when the tight schedule they will do. but the competition with Man City will also experience the same problem.

Liverpool they also started this season well. In fact, Liverpool hasn't conceded a single goal this season. They always win with a clean score. And I think that's extraordinary, considering that the opponents Liverpool faced at the start of this season were two strong teams such as Man United and Brentford. And one promotional team, namely Ipswich. Liverpool might be said to be lucky enough to immediately find a suitable coach to continue the squad that Klopp built.

Yes, three wins out of three without conceding any goal is really impressive.

The start has been good for. I hope they will be able to continue performing well. I expected the start to be good for them because, after all, they are playing under a new coach. And whenever almost any club brings in a new coach, the team seems to perform better. Maybe because they are playing with new enthusiasm.

But I actually like the fact that Arne Slot did not make any big changes to the squad and still is bringing in pretty good results. Maybe he is actually proving that to bring in good results, you do not need to go bankrupt.  Wink
Just like some certain coaches of some certain English Premier League club are doing right now. Or I should say “was doing” because it seems like they are pretty broke right now.

Anyway, ESPN UK published an online talk about Liverpool's sustainably throughout the season, Steve Nicol former defender of LFC said still he is not confident enough with Arne Slot's side. Whatever, I hope the Reds will be able to compete for the title till the end. And if they are actually worthy, they will be able to win the English Premier League title. I am not expecting too much, am I?
