With the present stats, Liverpool is pulling alright, they are giving this season their best. But Man City has won four consecutive seasons now, and I'm not sure they would want someone else to take the cup from them, nobody likes to be dethroned.
Saying that nobody likes to be dethroned sounds very funny because I don't know when the premier league turned to a league where a particular team keeps winning the league all the time and moreover, Manchester City has won the premiership on four consecutive seasons now so if they succeed to win this season again, the premier league will start becoming boring just like those few leagues where a particular team will dominate for more than five seasons. The competition this season is really gonna be tough because I don't think Liverpool will give up so quick like they did in previous seasons, perhaps they started pretty well so they will do everything within their capacity to make sure they keep the flag flying.
Also, Man City still have the potentials, and with what have been played, and the bar they've raised, I don't think any team is ready or prepared to challenge them because they'll also be training relentlessly.
No doubt about Manchester City having the potentials to win the league again but things may likely go differently this season, hope we are seeing what is happening to Real Madrid in the La Liga so there can be a sudden change in the premier league where Manchester City might be finding it difficult, maybe as a result of injury just like Real Madrid. The season is still new to think that those teams that mostly dominates the league will keep dominating.
They also have the top goal scorer (Halland with 7 goals in 3 games) in top 5 leagues in Europe. Halland is still young and active, ready to burn it all out to retain the trophy. So think about it , man city might win it again for the 5th season straight.
Erling Halland is a goal scorer and his goal scoring streak this season is applaudable because scoring 7 goals in just three games shows how outstanding the player is and he will still continue to score more goals because he has the spirit of goal scoring in him as he has proven himself in past seasons. I doubt if any player will beat him to win the golden boot this season because he doesn't look like he's gonna stop scoring goals. No body is doubting the possibility of Manchester City to win their first consecutive title but they ain't gonna have a smooth path.
