In my opinion, many big clubs like Liverpool are still and some clubs are still hesitant to bring in players, because according to the criteria desired by the club or head coach, they have not found a figure that meets the criteria of the coach, so that's why Liverpool still doesn't want to look for players to add ammunition in the next season, at least Liverpool can still save their funds until the winter transfer market, with the existing squad it seems that Liverpool still trusts the players they currently have, because that is much better than overhauling from the beginning after Klop decided to retire from Liverpool's coaching chair, with the method applied by Klop it seems that Arne Slot will continue to use it.
This is confusing to me because of course Arne Slot has a different tactic and he can't continue what Klopp has built and indeed Arne Slot should bring in some players that he wants and that fit his coaching style. Saving money for the next transfer market is unreasonable in my opinion and before this transfer window closes I'm sure Liverpool will bring in some new players because if not then their performance next season is likely to be even worse.

Liverpool is a top Premier League team that is targeting to win the Premier League title, so it is impossible for them not to be serious in building this team, especially Liverpool with their new coach, the management should be aware that improvements will be needed in this team to be able to achieve success, so let's just wait and see what Liverpool does in the remaining time of this transfer market, I am quite sure they will make a surprise.

Arteta must try to fix the front line especially for the striker position and in the match that ended in defeat for them, it was seen because the finishing was still inconsistent. Whereas if you look at Arsenal managed to dominate the match and they played neatly between each other. The striker must be an evaluation for Arteta and I think they need to find the right figure to face the competition next season.

Liverpool played more carefully and tried to defend to control the attacks that Arsenal tried to build but Arsenal actually conceded. Although this is a pre-season match, Arsenal must try to improve their game if they want to compete for the title. Because the real match when the league starts will be much more difficult and may be much more tense than the pre-season lag itself.

After the game, Arteta was heard saying that the team will do their best to ensure that the hiccup will be fixed and I'm here wondering if he'd actually go for a striker because to me that is the only hiccup they are facing right now.
For a very long time, Arsenal has had the issue of actually signing players they actually need, rather they prefer going for the ones they have aplenty and instead managing with the not so good ones. If Arsenal can focus on a good striker, splash funds on him, I believe big teams will begin to take them seriously.

Arsenal and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement for Mikel merino in a deal worth about 25 million Euros.
The midfielder will be Arsenal's third signing of the summer after they completed the signing of David Raya and Ricardo Calafiori from Bologna.Mikel will play a major role in Arsenal's new midfield, and this deal will see Rice play as a more deep defensive midfielder, unlike last season when Arteta shifted him to play in that Left front of the pitch.
Mikel Arteta is also aiming to bring in more players before the window slams shut by the end of the month.Welcome to Arsenal,Merino.

Another left-footed midfielder. Finally Arteta is upgrading on Granit Xhaka
Mikel Merino won the most aerial duels, the best in the top five European leagues last season but Merino is 28 years old, Is he not too old? In 2 seasons he will likely drop form due to age or injuries. Why not a younger player? A younger midfielder may be a better option.

I just pray Rice improves his progressive passing and Merino isn’t as bad in transition.

The English summer transfer window officially opened on the 14th of July 2024. Surprisingly, the rate of  transfer has been very slow, although some clubs had gone about their businesses in the market before the window was opened. Many clubs have brought in players to strengthen their team ahead of the season while some are still in the market identifying their targets.

The likes of Manchester United,Chelsea, West ham United and Arsenal, Aston Villa and Fulham have been the most active clubs in the transfer market. They’re making good signings and bolstering their squad to challenge for good positions in the league table.
Liverpool is the only club to have not brought in a player. I don’t really understand what’s going on with them, but I feel they’re waiting on departures before they can bring in someone.

Other teams apart from Liverpool already have additional new players that they got from the current transfer market. They are all competing to take advantage of opportunities in the transfer window to get the players they need for their squad. But Liverpool doesn't seem to have any intention of bringing in new players this time. They only promote their young players to main clubs. But Liverpool have also released several players. But those who were released were several players whose contracts had expired and were not renewed or several players whose loan terms had expired. And there are also players who retire. Man City in this case also did almost the same thing because they didn't move much in the transfer market. But still, Man City also managed to bring in a new player to their squad. But what caught my attention the most was Arsenal. Not because they brought in new players but what caught my attention was because they released so many players.

You are wrong mate because summer transfer window was opened on June 14th but not July 14th and so far some of clubs has been bought the players this summer and i was interested to see Aston Villa behaviour during this summer because seems they under Unay Emery is really active to buy the players and we all know Aston Villa will playing at Champion League for next season and i can see it that Aston Villa is really serious to prepare their squad because at least Aston Villa have bought 8 players and i am sure Aston Villa hasn't stopped to buy more yet

Unay Emery has been confirmed that he want to bringing Aston Villa to performing well in Premier League and Champion League so that's why Aston Villa was very active this summer even they have already to spend 176 million to buy players which this amount of money is much higher compared to Manchester United which only spend approximately 105 million and Chelsea with only 88 million and i am very curious to know the performance of Aston Villa for next season because Unay Emery did major change for Aston Villa squad

About Liverpool we have been discuss about this before because compared to other premier league clubs they are very quite although currently Liverpool targetting some players but none of them can successfully to bought by Liverpool but recently i found a rumour that Liverpool has officially bid for Newcastle player Anthony Gordon for 80 million plus Joe Gomez i think this is fantastic bid from Liverpool so hopefully Newcastle will be accept this offers

If to unify the style of play with other squads in the club Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund only need to train on the field, train happily without the pressure of having to play, and also do not need to be fielded in pre-season matches, we all know matches like this or national team matches are very prone to injury because friendly matches are not too important and the coach also needs to rest the main players before the new season starts, if it is like now they will regret being too reckless in acting.

This will be a lesson for Ten Hag, he still has 1 more friendly match against Liverpool, I hope Erik Ten Hag can be wiser in rotating his players.
Pre-season matches are actually quite important for new players to be able to unite chemistry with other players and regardless of the injuries experienced by the players, I think it is something that cannot be predicted and what Ten Hag did was quite right in my opinion, it's just that they were unlucky and I think what Manchester United experienced last season will happen again this season with many injured players making it difficult for Ten Hag to build or make improvements in the performance of the Manchester United team.

The injury problem is like a scourge that apparently still haunts Man United to this day. They had high hopes for Leny Yoro, but unfortunately, the young defender was hit by injury, so the big hole in Man United's defense line must be filled again, and Ten Hag must immediately resolve this problem. It seems that releasing McTominay would be the best option at this time because that way it would smooth Man United's plans to sign De Ligt, or they could make another offer to Jarrad Branthwaite, who apparently has not yet agreed to renew his contract at Everton. He wants the same salary as that offered by Man United and this might be an indication that Man United still has hope of attracting him.
It sounds like Leny Yoro is a top class defender, while the reality his last two match in friendly match is like shit lol.

With or without him, the defending line of Manchester United is same, they still have many defenders, so losing one player isn't a big issue.

Under Ten Hag, the players he sign are mostly potential players that play in small teams or old players, both De Ligt and Branthwaite are popular, which I don't think Ten Hag will recruit them.

One of Manchester United's biggest problems of last season was the constant injuries the club's first team players suffered and that really affected their general performance of last season. Sadly, they've now lost two players to injuries before the start of next season again and that I think will be a huge blow to the club preparations for next season. I don't want to believe that it is the club manager's selections in the games that caused the injury because of we can remember, Leny Yoro recently signed for the club and needed to play in the preseason games in other to blend well with the team's style of play while Rasmus Hojlund enjoyed a long holiday and also needed to get back to full fitness by playing in the team's preseason games. Hopefully, the club manager finds a good tactical plan that'll help the team start the season on a good note till when the injured players returns back to full fitness

And Erik Ten Hag builds up plans comes from the defense. Without a strong defense, opponents will find it easy to score goals which they did last season and at the same time, playing with defenders who are not confident on the ball and with no pace did not add to the plans of Erik Ten Hag last season and campaign.

I do not have a problem with Rasmus Hojlund because, Manchester United has Joshua Zirkzee and even Marcus Rashford can go up there a the lone striker.
I'm vexed because Manchester has no depth orba good defensive replacement for Leny Yoro. Harry Maguire has been the name mentioned lately to partner Lisandro Martinez. I think it's not a solid defense already in my head.

There's no tactical approach to this, how do you even say such a thing?  What they need is backing and depth, I mean the club owners should sign up another defender.

It's really unlucky for Man United, the injury crisis last season has not ended, now Manchester United must experience bad luck again, the player they recruited this summer have been injured before joining the 2024/25 Premier League competition. I think Erik Ten Hag is quite careless this time because he didn't think about the bad things that would happen if he insisted on using his mainstay players for this pre-season match just because they didn't want to lose even though they were still defeated by Arsenal because Arsenal's performance was still better than MU, I really feel sorry for MU right now even though they are just about to start the season with the hope of being better than before, but if their players are injured I think Man United will have a hard time competing in the EPL

Manchester United have confirmed that Leny Yoro will be out for 3 months while Rasmus Hojlund has a hamstring injury and will be out for more than a month. It has been confirmed that at the start of the season MU will not be able to use their mainstay this players.

I wondered what was wrong in the second half, and I suspected that since Arsenal was the last goal scorer in the match, it may mean that they were underrating Liverpool at first until it dawned on them to do better with their defence, but was still unable to improve their attack.
I'd agree with you on your observations because even the Coach of the Liverpool side, Arne Sorloth noticed the same thing. The Gunners were the better side and had every opportunity to turn the game around but for the absence of a good finisher, it only amounted to wasted chances. It just needed a calm and collected finish from Salah and Carvalho to cement their victory over Arsenal and when you look at it, it's enough to pity the Mikel Arteta led Arsenal because despite being pressurized, they didn't give up that hold they had.
It may be a friendly game but it's enough to send a message to Arsenal that this new season won't be business as usual.
Both coaches acknowledged the greatness of their opponents, they chose to play more carefully without any high enthusiasm in attacking. The process of the first goal scored by Liverpool was very good, they built an attack from their own defense and Mo Salah managed to break through Arsenal net. The tactics used by Arne Slot were very effective, he made Liverpool seem to have no flaws in their playing style.
Positive assessment of Liverpool's performance is a sign that there will be more competitive competition in the EPL this season. Arsenal, who have been very ambitious to win the EPL trophy, must be more serious in achieving their goals. In addition, Manchester United and Chelsea are also improving, if these teams succeed in improving their performance, there will be big teams that fail to finish in the Champions League zone if they cannot maintain their performance.

Mikel Merino looks like a good signing for Arsenal. He looks decent. Merino plays like Xhaka. I think he'll be excellent with the goes of time. He is what we need to improve Arsenal's ball circulation. Merino'll help Arsenal's midfield a lot. I no longer trust Partey and Jorginho. Partey's prone to injury. That's why I'd like to get Merino. Also, it would be better if Arsenal could add one more midfielder, too. I'm not satisfied with Jorginho's performance. And this was because Jorginho's up-and-down performance.

And lastly, I love this kind of signing.

Well, on the norm, it is expected that some clubs won't play their best during the pre-season leg, most especially when if the match is not one that qualifiers the club to enter the main league season.
It's just like a country playing against another country in a friendly match, it is always only the team that have determined to win that will always win at the end of the day.

So, personally, I am believeing that Arsenal will play their best yet again in the coming season, they may just be seeing the pre-season leg as a way to just exercise and keep their body fit and ready for the real deal.

Apart from that, it is true that Arsenal currently still lacks a striker, and until now Arteta as Arsenal coach has not made any changes or bought a new striker. However, perhaps Arteta still feels that even with the strikers that Arsenal currently have, they will still be able to compete well in the Premier League next season.
Arsenal don't have a good striker after time of Aubameyang but we need to consider why Aubameyang had to leave Arsenal. It's because Arteta did not want to use that striker in the club and he wants to build up different tactics with less dependence on a traditional striker like Aubameyang.

Gabriel Jesus was brought to Arsenal as a replacement for Aubameyang, after two seasons, it seems the Brazilian player failed to convince people that he is a good striker for Arsenal. It's not surprising because he was not a main player in Manchester City and in his national team Brazil, he is part of their crisis on the striker position.

Quote
Currently Arsenal have only made 2 purchases in the transfer market this summer, namely making permanent David Raya who plays as a goalkeeper and also buying Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna who plays as a center back. So until now Arsenal has not bought a new striker.
Signing a long contract with Raya and buying Calafiori from Bologna are very good activities from Arsenal to enhance their defense. They need to have good defense first before anything else to win Premier League. In last two seasons, Arsenal played well and their attacking system worked well too. Having good defense system will help them to avoid defeats and minimize lost points and if they can improve their attacks, they can score more goals, get more points too.

Why do you think Manchester City won’t be the champions of next season, and why do you think Arsenal will be the one to win it? We know that Arsenal has competed with Manchester City for two consecutive seasons, and they ended the season in second place. I don’t really see why you think Arsenal will win it this time around. Arsenal's defense and midfielders are kind of strong, but Arsenal need more strikers if they really want to win the Premier League, and I see Arteta is not really working on that.

I don't know why you think Arsenal will not win the Premier League title next season. Arsenal have been in the race for this title for the past two seasons now, and we all know how far they have gone in this competition, so this gives people another hopes ahead of the next season competition. They have the full squad that won them a trophy, and they don't have problems in their positions. However, let's see how Arsenal will turn up next season. I know they will be ready for it, and I think they have known their mistakes by now.

Yes, Manchester City is still a very strong candidate to become Premier League champions next season. The reason is that you are right, that in the last few seasons Manchester City has always won the Premier League in a row. So it is not impossible that next season Manchester City can win the Premier League title again. But even so, we should not underestimate Arsenal either. The reason is, Arsenal also has a big chance of becoming Premier League champions. Because it has been proven that in these two seasons Arsenal has shown very good performance and almost always becomes champion. But unfortunately Arsenal is always unable to compete with Manchester City.

Apart from that, it is true that Arsenal currently still lacks a striker, and until now Arteta as Arsenal coach has not made any changes or bought a new striker. Currently Arsenal have only made 2 purchases in the transfer market this summer, namely making permanent David Raya who plays as a goalkeeper and also buying Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna who plays as a center back. So until now Arsenal has not bought a new striker. However, perhaps Arteta still feels that even with the strikers that Arsenal currently have, they will still be able to compete well in the Premier League next season.

So the point is that Arsenal next season should not be underestimated, because Arsenal will definitely perform very well. That's why Arsenal's chances of becoming Premier League champions next season are very big too.

In the Club Friendlies, Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1. Though people were saying that friendly Matches are not used to do anything or score the performance of a club but I believe it is also to know the strength of the club on the forthcoming Premier League Tournament or season. So through the Friendlies, coaches would know the good players to select and those ones that can be substituted in the second half. So club Friendlies is also an important Match for the clubs.
No way we can totally disregard friendly matches but at the same time it's a mere warming-up match and coaches and opponents will have to do more before they can ascertain the quality of their players through it. What I've noticed with friendly matches is that they do not replicate the true performances of the team when the real competitions start and it could be a result of the friendly mood in which the players are playing at that time. I also know that the coach will not pressure his players the way he would in real tournaments. This can only prove the reason why Liverpool can beat Arsenal today if we use the feat Liverpool and Arsenal ended last season to judge them.

Notwithstanding, I believe things will pick for both sides when the league starts properly, especially Liverpool with the new coach. Arne Slot will want to prove a point in an already good club and I hope the club's relaxing performance of the last 2 seasons will end. Talking about this match, Liverpool may win but Arsenal was the better side in my view, still, the two sides should be more particular about their firing power as it's pathetic that all goals were only recorded in the first half.

I wondered what was wrong in the second half, and I suspected that since Arsenal was the last goal scorer in the match, it may mean that they were underrating Liverpool at first until it dawned on them to do better with their defence, but was still unable to improve their attack.
