I think it is too early to judge any team in the Premier League now.The competition has just began and a simple lost game with a big goals difference doesn’t show the true form of a team.I think that Manchester United should not wait from a single player to do miracles but they should try and get the most out of the team by playing well together.

Agree. I remember reading after first three games how they were saying Liverpool are just too good for any team and then boom they lose to Aston Villa by their biggest lose record in entire Premier League history.

STILL it says nothing about how the table will look like and the end of 38 games so nobody should panic or gush after 10% of the campaign is over. Football is round!

I am not fully sure about Liverpool beating Everton given how they performed in previous match.

The tension of the game would be high and even if Liverpool wants to win in this game, it will be hard against Everton when they have already gotten 4 wins in a row .

Though I know Klopp will definitely take the points from the last match where things have gone wrong so feel like Liverpool are gonna correct themselves.

This is derby and Liverpool is not the only one that wants to win the game. Everton definitely is not backing down on this game especially when they are running so good lately. It will be fun to see Liverpool lose twice in a row if they lose against Everton on the Derby, atleast it will show that not only Manchester United has been having bad run  Tongue

hmph..
The merseyside derby will be an important game for Everton and Ancelotti as well. For Everton, this victory against Liverpool will be the first win after being winless in the last 22 derby games. Everton last won over Liverpool in 2010 in the Premier League. As for Ancelotti, this will add to the positive results for him after breaking the record for 7 consecutive wins that Everton last felt in 1894/95. Of course won this match will make him the first coach win over Liverpool after 9 years fail to get 3 points..

Last season, Man Utd. came back well because sudden break from the pandemic, lockdown, and the surprising successful transfer of Bruno. This season, will they simply wait for luck from Bruno again and from new player like Cavani?

Yeah, after Bruno Fernandes transfer their mid went solid. They were linking plays well from centre and Fernandes was the impact guy for Man Utd then but now seems to have lost his shine.  Undecided  Still have to see how they perform, we have a break this week so they have some time to figure up something to bounce themselves back up the table.

Everton will be playing liverpool next and that's where their drop in point will begin. Liverpool won't want to lose two matches straight so they'll be coming with their A game. Everton on the other hand would be feeling to confident of defeating liverpool with the strategy Aston villa used but it'll not work.

Though I know Klopp will definitely take the points from the last match where things have gone wrong so feel like Liverpool are gonna correct themselves. But Everton might have a shot since they have Richarlison and Calvert Lewin who are good in charging inside the box and obviously they have Rodriguez as well. So Toffees might have a chance provided if Liverpool still have their guard down (but that seems a bit hard too).

Still too early to consider Everton a really competitor for winning the championship. If they keep up their current performance until the end of the year and are then still the leader of the table with some points ahead, then there could really be a surprise. But, we still have 34 matches to play this season. Long way to go.

I love how this season is heading, we won't be having a dominant team like we did last two season, which just take away the suspend in the premier league. Still Everton could sail their spot in the top four if they continue with this form of theirs.
This same Liverpool that was walloped by Aston villa last weekend with a wide goal margin and you expecting an outstanding performance from them when they play Everton?
Everton are still in-form they will give Liverpool a run of their money the least we can expect from that match after the international break is draw
Clubs vying for both EPL title and top this season is going to highly competitive and interesting for now there is no clear chances for any of the teams.

Well what a few days that was.

Here is the latest standing and player ratings (some interesting appearances at the top 10 this week).

Even we are in very early stages of this Premier League but Everton and Aston Villa both done very good job as these teams performing amazingly and can stay on top for some more weeks usualy changes happen after winter break and we will watch who is going to stay on top but for me Everton Tottenham both really surprising sides can do some big upsets.

Everton still has a chance to stay in the top, even the first, up to the end of November then December games are a hell of matches, since it will face Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal and City!
The dominance will not be obvious until maybe November - December, I expect Liverpool to run away from the others. City results until now aren't good at all..

Look at the bottom! Everything from Brighton down looks gloomy and one of them is Man Utd! zomg. Their game in hand can only bring them still bottom half of the table.

City can rejoin the pack with a win (expected of them?)

It's indeed too early for anything to be expected, and I'm however beginning to fancy Everton chances of having a brilliant season. Arsenal could end up as a typical Arsenal and, I also believe Aston Villa would finish outside the top 10 come end of the season.

Indeed, for now the competition is only the beginning of the season, but when the team experiences difficulties in the early stages, most of the players will experience a decline in morale. This happens a lot. Optimism usually comes from the start of the season. If there is optimism, the final result will be even better. However, for a team that get strugle at the start of the season, and appears optimistic mid-season, clubs & players will be more likely to be optimistic about pursuing a UCL position than for the title.

Last season, Man Utd didn't had a good start and Ole was facing criticism from fans a lot. He was just hanging by thread as a manager (IIRC it was in December I guess). But Board continued decided to give him chance and the team did well after then (at least better than the start they had last season). So I feel like Board's still gonna give him some time but not so sure tho.
The Man Utd. board do their works terribly too. They should make their own analysis on Solsa' works and make their decisions, not rely on how fans react to results and with Solsa.

Over months, and seasons, less and less people are talking about Pogba. His transfer and his high salary are other big mistakes from Man Utd's board.

But to win a very high odds bet you need an early betslip to place isn't it? This is the time , now or never! Aside from whether are they gonna drop to where they are really belong at the mid table and bottom one.

Well its a title race and I believe lot tend to change in a long term. Still an early good start is also crucial for a side to get a good advantage over other teams

Seriously Manchester United need a center back , let the label of the most expensive defender in Harry Maguire burried just like kepa at chelsea and move on rather than force yourself ole.
Cavani and amad traore at the front then what? United's defensive is still sucks no matter how much you scored but if the result is lost due the defensive errors it's just mean nothing. Poor United become a joke after sancho failed transfer. Ole might be sacked anytime soon this season.

Not sure how you guys see the Man U attack right now but I don't think their attack line is also performing as they used to. Still Rashford, Greenwood and Martial are good players , just finding it hard to find the net right now.

One image to describe how Man U is looking right now.

He might be sacked before Christmas if The team keep getting those bad results. Getting Cavani is a great option, he is a good striker and it would totally change how Manchester United play . Manchester United is doing so bad on both offense and defense so fixing one thing at a time would be better rather than none
Kloop can keep his job at Anfield but Solsa will be sacked if MU. won't be able to come back soon. He is a wrong decision at the start. Honestly, what he did in his first half season after taking over the job of Mourinho is only bringing good motive, mentality to the squad and Pogba. Nothing more from Solsa in his first season. In his second season, not many things were changed and improved the results last season mainly come from the transfer of Bruno Fernandes. Without Fernandes, MU. would have ended last season beyond top 4.

This season, terrible start. In the view for Solsa as a manager, he does terrible job so far. MU. would have given supports for Mourinho and transfer budget like what they did for Solsa, they can have better squad and results. I am waiting for the day Spurs again destroy MU. and Solsa will be sacked because of this.

The vaccine won’t change anything any way. We are just going to have to learn to live with this virus. There is a flu jab but flu still kills hundreds of thousands of people every year. Corona Virus mainly kills the elderly who have stuff wrong with them any way. It’s time to open the world again.

Not with this covid19 shit again. The world is not ready to restart thing back to what it was. The reason that The Premier League start is because there is a huge pile of money on it. If the stadium is open for supporters and there are alot that gets infected, who would take the blame for it? No one would. That also means they will need to stop the league if there are alot of infections happening on the stadiums

You also said the same thing when they bought Falcao 3 years ago Cavani is just another version 2.5 of Falcoa I'm not expecting much from him considering his type of football and how physically the EPL is, Cavani is one of my favorite strikers I respect so much but I don't want to put my hope so high yet till then and as for the manutd desfense the RB and the LB sucks.

I'm tired of people talking about Covid so much in this prediction threads honestly, there is so much to talk about with crazy results that we are experiencing and some people waste that and focus on Covid...Covid will be dealt with the way it has to be and that is it. It affects things for sure, but is the same for every team. I'm much more happy to focus on the sport aspect of the sport then on politics.
It always has something to do with politics, so it's always combined with what is happening now, namely Covid, but I think this is quite boring to discuss about it but still in sports, every time there is a player who is infected it will become a conversation too so that has become a thing. usual in that prediction thread.

lol'd at the ranking but I believe this season the vacant number will be filled  Tongue
You mean like leeds 1 - 9 arsenal next?  Grin

Too early to say that Arsenal, Aston Villa , Everton will remain at top. Remember how last season went for Leicester? They were so strong in the race along with Liverpool and City. But in the end they dropped a lot of points and finished 5th last season. At any point there could be couple of matches gone wrong for any team.

BTW is bit funny to see how City and United have started this season. For City fans, Sergio aguero is back in full training so its possible that he could be back soon. For United, we have Cavani, Telles and Traore transfer news- wonder how will United perform after this. Telles seems to be a new addition to their defence line- hope this makes their defence a bit better.
