After being humiliated by Liverpool, I think Manchester United fans can already judge that Erik Ten Hag did nothing in the transfer market. The recruitment he did was quite a failure like Onana. He also got rid of De Gea, Ronaldo, one of the bad performances he did.
I hope the management is not wrong in their decision, but we'll just have to wait until the first half of this season ends.
I can agree with you that should Eric Ten Hag goes on to have a dismal season like that of last season due to the position on the league table then I think he might be shown the door. But what I will not agree with you is the fact you said he makes players worse I will say that is a lie and a false statement if you ask me. First of all Rashford who mentioned had the best season of his entire career playing under Eric Ten Hag on his first season with almost 40+ goals contribution and the next season which was last season Rashford was below par and still until now the manager keeps trusting him so I don’t understand how he made him worse.
As for Ronaldo and De Gea it is complicated issue, it was the right time to actually get a new goalkeeper ahead of De Gea and he did. Onana before coming to Manchester United that season was one for Europe best goalkeepers, went to the UCL final and even made the Balon D’Or Yashin list for the best goalkeeper of the year. His transfer hasn’t worked out doesn’t mean Erik Ten Hag signed someone who wasn’t proven, De gea on the other had is issues with the board due to his contract and he was allowed to leave. The departure of Ronaldo also wasn’t entirely his fault Ronaldo gave an interview that provoked the Manchester United board and they terminated the contract.
The manger beef was there but immediately he had that an interview the club couldn’t keep him anymore which wasn’t surprising considering what he said in the interview
