It's funny how Klopp went 180 and changed his stance on player transfers.  How much did Liverpool spend on the past 12 months?  Over 250m EURO?  I guess they're really going after the league this season.  It should be good.  Man United will be going after it too, as is City.  Smiley

It's gonna be a three way battle.  The Spurs are pretty much out judging by how quiet they are during this transfer window.  I thought Poch was gonna spend after that 'meeting' with Levy.  But no...
Well Klopp promised a Premier League title within four years when he signed and this year is the 3rd year right? He don't have much time and i think he's go all in this year.

Well as Mou says the rules are different for him than for other coaches if had done the same thing as Kloop he would be branded a hypocrite and all would be there to get him, honestly I don't expect him to last this season or at max this season he's done. I don't think it's a threeway battle ManUtd don't look strong Mou is just complaining so I would choose city or Liverpool or Arsenal and Chelsea even they can spent a surprise.

Guess you are not ruling out Chelsea  because of Conte's departure because they will be a force to reckon with should Hazard stay with the team after the transfers. Liverpool and United are  heavy contenders again and Manchester City i guess will go all out so it makes up a pretty exciting EPL to expect this season.

i hope that this season to be more competetive then the last because last year by december it was clear that city will be crwned champions while this season Liverpool have made some good improvement on a team that have seen good season last year so now with all of these major improvement it's going to be more fun for Spurs i think they gave up before the season started they know that is difficult to compete on the title with these teams around i think we will see them fighting with United over 3rd and 4rth spot unless United get the deals they need to make it into top 3 contendors unless Mourinho belleives that this squad is capable of winning it but i don't since it seems that he looking to forfit before season starts because he didn't get the players that he demanded.

Yes there is no doubt that Liverpool has one of the craziest and best squad available but see what Pullsic did to them says it all, they somehow fail to click on the main stage, and I believe that'll the case this time around to. If one goes on paper teams I would rate Liverpool first, Man City Second, Manchester United third, and so so on but then it's epl things change quickly.
Most teams like Liverpool are very good when they are on paper but when they come to open play it seems things are totally different for them and they don't play like the way you would expect them to play which becomes very frustrating for their fans.
In my opinion they not only good on paper and Liverpool might be failed in the champion league final game but during last season they were playing good even though still no trophy even last season Salah has appear as top scorer for english league with 32 goals so i think their fans will appreciate this achievement
I agree with you, even though Liverpool FC hasn't won trophies in the past few seasons, but I as a fan are quite satisfied with what liverpool achieved, jurgen klopp has changed liverpool fc for the better.
Liverpool need to achieve something good with squad now with Vid closing in to join it's going to help creating more depth in defense that's what was their weeknesses in the previous years also I heard that Liverpool have given another chance to Sturridge for his last season in his contract but no offense I don't think he is that he will do anything significant last season he joined West Brom on loan but he suffered a injury that led to him making 6 appearances so I'm not going to bother entertaining the idea that something different will happen this time.

Have you seen what Karius posted on Instagram after yesterday's match vs Borussia Dortmund?

To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you.
Whatever it is that's happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you.

Obviously the guy is very rattled and can't handle the pressure and the haters in Liverpool any more so maybe the right decision is to move to a new club as fast as possible. Even if Klopp wishes to keep him I think the right thing for both Karius and the club is to let him go somewhere else.
Saw his post this morning. He just needs to stop paying attention to those people. He should know that he is now a meme on the internet (sad but true), and feeding the trolls on social media with these kind of posts isn't exactly the best way to deal with this situation. He needs to move on and just keep training so that they same shit doesn't happen again...the whole thing will die down once he stops bringing it up.

^  He should, I mean after a performance like that in the final of the most prestigious tourney in club football.  It must have been a traumatic experience that will haunt him wherever he goes and at what club.

Tho Klopp claims Karius had a concussion or something...  Dunno how true that is.  Lol.

I think he underwent a thorough examination at a Boston hospital and was diagnosed with concussion. This begs the question of why he wasn't substituted during the CL final if he really had a condition. Karius could have informed Klopp he wasn't feeling well or something. I don't know what to believe as this sounds like a very cheap excuse for his blunders.
He had a couple of good saves after Ramon hit him. Either he recovered really fast but then symptoms came back exactly when Bale scored his 2nd goal, or the whole thing is just horseshit and he simply lost confidence/got nervous after the gift to Benzema.

That's simply an excuse being thrown about by the Liverpool fans. But i agree that he should leave the club so that he can get a new start in his footballing career because as long as the club, It's going to haunt him for the rest of his life.

I think the most important signing is Alisson though, as we saw in Kiev you can’t win anything with a crap goalkeeper.
Do you know what's gonna happen with Karius? I read some rumours about him going to some low-tier english club but I don't remember the name. Some other rumours say that Bayern Munich are interested in Karius (I think this BS lol )

Did you read the Don Balon article by any chance? Reportedly Bayern Munich are willing to pay 12 million euros for Loris Karius and Niko Kovac allegedly approves of the goalkeeper so maybe Karius could reignite his career in Germany? Well he is still an elite league goalkeeper isn't he? I think he would be better off leaving the Premier League for now and getting comfortable again somewhere else. What's a better place than his home country?

He shouldn't go to a top club, especially a club like Bayern, where pressure is high as Bayern Munich main objetive is to win the treble at the end of the season. Psychologically, I don't think it'll be good for him, he should go to a mid-table team where he can feel valued again, and Germany like you said could be the best environment for him right now.

Yes there is no doubt that Liverpool has one of the craziest and best squad available
Hmm, no, they don't have such squad.

Bro last night was a friendly. Did you see the team?
Henderson, Alisson, Lovren, Mane, Salah, Firmino didn’t even get on the pitch.

A friendly in America is far from ‘the main stage’.

Well we still have 2 more weeks+ for transfer window on premier league, i think Chelsea will buy some more players and Liverpool maybe 1 more player? Btw just watched the highlight on liverpool ICC, Karius is so sucks lol, i'm glad Liverpool buy a new goalkeeper Alisson. Is Alisson will be fill the spot 1 goalkeeper or still karius?

Yeah, all this preseason doesn't really say much. Liverpool that played last night (I only watched til 78th minute so missed the last 2 goals) didn't look anything like last season's goal. VVD scored and no one celebrated. Karius did an awful clearance that almost led to a goal. And I lost my first Liverpool bet of the post 2017/18 season haha.

Paper would still rate City first though... they've got a squad that's already gelled last time around.

Since 2008-2009, Liverpool have not been more ready on paper to win the league title than their current position after a market has dealt with their weakness .Now the opposite of "what's on paper" remains to see "on "The move by Liverpool this summer means they are serious on their project, but the desire to implement it after the Premier League season has been on the rise for many years.

The latest arrivals were Brazilian goalkeeper Allison from Rome became the world's most expensive goalkeeper, the Reda continue to break the record after signing up with the world's most expensive defender Van Djik last winter, and this increase pressure over Klopp this season as they are going to need some silverware to lift I think there summer window have closed unless they go for the overkill by bringing Nabil Fekir as they already got Shaqiri and spent money on Nabi keita and Fabinho.

Keita: 8, Firminho: 9, Mane: 10, Salah: 11. That's what I call a really lovely set of Jersey numbers. Keita's of course not proven anything but his early season outings seem to indicate he won't take long to settle into the high tempo of attacking Liverpool demands. I hope Milner keeps his legs a few more years, to see someone almost my age just burn up the grass at every match is breathtaking. Just a big pity we've lost Ox, and Lallana never looks confident.

I wouldn't say we've never been more ready. I remember thinking the Suarez season where the Gerrard slip cost us the title, that everything was so special and couldn't be better. Liverpool's new team still has a lot of things to learn and we have so few mature people in the squad. But there's every reason to feel optimistic about our chances to go high, and at least give the champion a run for their money. Last season was so meek, everyone gave City an easy time (except Liverpool ahaha).

I would say we need another solid CB, but who knows, maybe our World Cup silver medallist will become the steady rock he always tried and failed to be.

Yes brothers!
I’m excited about our chances this season. I have a feeling it’ll be a fight between City & Liverpool.
Keita looks really good in pre season so far. I think the most important signing is Alisson though, as we saw in Kiev you can’t win anything with a crap goalkeeper.

Who knows, maybe we get Fekir in through the door late on in the transfercwindow. This is the beet squad of my lifetime already though.

Look at the spine of the team - Alisson—-VVD——Keita/Fabinho——Firmino/Salah/Mane
Are there many better in world football?
from the latest news about Liverpool their transfers window is done I really doubt that they will be bringing Fekir this season they had a successful summer transfer window but maybe they are going to bring Croitia Center back Vida from besiktas to pair him with Lovren as they proved to be great partnership after WC but I prefer to see them go for Godin from Atletico instead he is a far better player in my opinion but at the end I hope to see either of them with the reds as he will add more depth for the squad while Fekir looking now far from joining plus he is now he will not find a starting spot in the squad and I don't think that his playing style is suitable for Klopp I think at first they contacted him for fear to lose Salah but after his renewal and bringing Shaqiri no room left for him. As for Alisson I hope I see him achieve the expectation of the fans.
