I know Budapest is a popular tourist location with some Norwegians. If it's a known scamming location within the country, it's probably because it's a hot spot for tourism - not because there's anything wrong with the locals in general.

My comment is based on local sentiment when trusting others without evidence. I do apologize if my comment offended. It was not my intention.

However family and friends "locals in general" do express concern that scams have been an issue as of late. I feel that it may have stemmed from the internet and is slowly making its way into the minds of those of the community.

Fraudulent schemes have been an ongoing issue online.

Fraudsters and those pushing scams, follow the money when they look for their next victims. No single location on earth that I am aware of has a monopoly of this fact.

I dunno why you'd keep quiet through the entire dev process if you'd built a functional ASIC miner. Wouldn't you at least show off a working prototype to give pause to those throwing $$$ at a certain vaporware vendor? This doesn't make much sense from a business stand point.

If six months ago I had the capability to develop an ASIC without the need for funding from the BTC community I would have done it 'stealthily'. No point rustling jimmies with "he's going to 51% attack!" and such. Now imagine I have my chips in hand, I'm building units and I realize other ASICs are coming online that might render mine useless in a few months. At this point I could 1) build them as fast as possible and toss them on the network to get a big piece of that pie while I can 2) begin selling them to miners, recover my initial costs, make a profit, and then consider investing into a more efficient chip.

I personally would opt for 1) if I had a couple TH/s in chips available now. If I had 80 GH/s in demo chips I'd opt for 2).

That being said this sounds more and more like a scam. If the OP is indeed trying to sell these things he'd better get going ASAP.

Can you guys not see the deeper irony?

They have spent NINE MONTHS IN SECRET DEVELOPING THIS ASIC!!!

Now that it works... instead of build a website, and prove that they have it and it works, announce on the forum that in a couple of days they will get their website up!!

Of course if it was real they could still prove it, but it's not. First few pages everyone wants one. If they actually had an address to get money at they could have been long gone by now.

However, I bet people will still send money.

My caution is to be expected considering that Budapest is known for a hub of scamming activity.

Is it? As someone born/living in Budapest I am not sure whether to feel offended or flattered Grin I don't think the location itself is cause for alarm, there are many scums here for sure, but I don't think that more than elsewhere, and if someone needs to pick a place to run some illegitim scheme, it's easy to find better places for that. For example go only one or two countries to the east and you got rid of the regulations of the EU...

(also I would expect anyone who can pull of such a project to be able to communicate with an acceptable level of english)

Those interested in this product should know that I am making an effort to have the claims validated.
This community has shown a healthy level of "skepticism" of the claims made by primeasic.

I appreciate the fact that "primeasic" team are making the fully functional hardware available for purchase and distribution to the general public.

If your claims can be validated at the time I would wish to leave as a customer.

"primeasic" once I get a reply from you with the location and time as long as it is located near Budapest, I can be there within the hour.
I would also like to inquire as to if we can make the purchase with Bitcoin to Euro exchange rate at the time? This would help keep the spirit of the project.

My caution is to be expected considering that Budapest is known for a hub of scamming activity. So those interested in purchasing prior to having claims somewhat validated be warned. Until someone is physically there to view review and potentially purchase the product in question, do not fall for any claims.

Also understand that the longevity of the hardware may operate but fail after a week of service.
I am approaching this with a healthy dose of Skepticism at this point.

"primeasic" if your reading this please reply to my pm's I can come down and help validate your claims in person if you wish if you are having a hard time with English then you can email me in Hungarian.

Midenkinek aki kivancsi erre a szerkezetre , tudatara akarom juttatni ,hogy mindent megteszek amit tudok hogy kideritsem hogy amit allitanak az igaz vagy sem.

Its very funny that none of these wannabe scammers never show the actual device in high resolution video, while its mining on computer screen. When we could see the device and also its insides there would be less doubt about the legitimity of such a device.

I kind a hope there would be one trying to scam people like that near my location.. Would be nice to discuss about that device face-to-face.
