Whoever meets with them should bring a couple of bodyguards with guns - just to be safe.

OK, maybe I'll think twice before going there Smiley

Would you accept the payment with paypal?

 Grin

But why are you laughing? Paying with Paypal I'm sure that if they send something wrong I'll get my money back and if they do not accept paypal that means that their intentions are not linear. Am I wrong?

Another idea might be an escrow service.

Guys..

Why would you do that as a company that has a legal business ?

They develop a fully working ASIC product within a half year (faster than the others) WITHOUT any money upfront and do not even have a webpage ready when they start selling ?

Let's see what their company name means:

Trade and Services ?? So a company, who builds a working ASIC product without any money upfront in half a year, registers a domain by proxy, has no working website and no contact information available calls itself "Trade and Services" - not "Hardware development" or something similar .. okay..

Last but not least - the address, lets check google maps:

Edi-Green Kft.
Edi-Green Kft.
Futó u. 16.
Budapest, Budapest 1082
Hungary
[email protected]
+36 19995748

Hmmm.. So this company, which produces its own asic, in half a year, without any extra money, builds that asic AT HOME ??!

Lets look a bit closer, maybe in hungary thats how silicon valley looks like:

Nope.. Not even chuck testa could develop an asic there.. It looks like a house with flats..

Sooo guys.. BEFORE sending them money for nothing, please send me a tip 1BrtfyuirGy5BmBEdmFzLs5v4jFKgzyN82  !  I'd really appreciate ;-)

Legendary Escrow Service - Tip Jar in Profile
Dont want to say someone is fishy but i think if this would be a scam it would be a good idea to come up with someone that seems to be another forum member, visits them and says all is fine.

And regarding the company... there are many companies in europe that only are an address. Even Journalists cant often find out who is behind them in reality. So you shouldnt take that too serious.

That is more than BFL, and oyu should be able to run a singhle at closer to 70 than the claimed (conservative) 60 without much issue
(they recently said each engine should be able to run at a clock of 500, times 16 engines, times 8 chips =64mhs, odds are you will get better than that again unless the ambient is too high)

So I see the cost/hash is higher with these guys, and the power usage is not even close to BFL. Only advantage is you will have them sooner so you will get the extra price back and probably cover over a year's power.

For some fast ROI is more important than long term

I tried to reach the phone number that is mentioned on the website, it's not available.

I tried to call them too. It's only a mobile phone number (T-Mobile). A landline would be more trustworthy imho.

Waiting for more info about the device itself. Is it like Avalon or does it need a host computer?

Address would be nice too.

I tried to reach the phone number that is mentioned on the website, it's not available. I'm 5 hours of driving from Budapest, and could be there by tomorrow morning. Doesn't look very promising.

Well, the website is updated with a price (€1249) and a phone number. Who fancies making a phone call?

Would you please tell me the site name, I've tried all of them and there were only parked domains, at least yesterday.

Thanks Smiley
