Well, maybe jackpot is based off the losses and not wins? It is quite possible that the game is basically rigged against the house (which is great for gamblers) because house edge drops due to jackpot, they say it is 1% house edge but if they are putting some of their wins into the jackpot that means it is slightly less than 1%, not a lot, it is not like they are putting too much into jackpot but if every time someone loses the house takes a bit of it and puts tiiiiny part of it into the jackpot? That could be the logical explanation.

Or maybe they are just putting 1 satoshi per second no matter what happens, which means around 86400 satoshi per day, we could calculate that looking at a whole day, or even a week of 604800 satoshis if we want to and if for a whole week it is really just 605k satoshi than it could be 1 satoshi per second no matter what.
As the rate of jackpot increase is fixed, so I don't think that depends on the money they earn.
You are right that the house edge is lower due to the jackpot. But I don't think that any one win that. The chance is very very low.
There are two things that decrease the chance to win the jackpot very much. 1. The minimum bet amount to be eligible, 2. The need to report the win manually.

Looking at the constantly changing jackpot amount, I have an impression that the rate of increasing is exactly 1 satoshi per second. Is it so or the algorithm is more complicated than it seems?
I thought the amount of jackpot depends on the profit the website makes. The rate seems to be 1 Satoshi per seconds without any complicated mathematical calculation behind it. I measured the change in jackpot amount in one minute. After one minute the jackpot increased exactly 60 Satoshis.

Yeah, that's what I did too, but it would be nice to see a confirmation or denial of our conclusions from PD staff.
I mean, if Bitcoin price was going up and up in the nearest future, would the rate of Jackpot growing remain the same, 1 satoshi per 1 second?

The current amount of jackpot is about 113 bitcoins. This amount is increasing 1 Satoshi per second. So it is increasing 0.31536 BTC per year. It's only 0.2% of the initial amount. As, the jackpot is increasing only 0.2% per year, I don't think they change it even if bitcoin price increases 10 times.

I saw that 23.02 requirement and I was thinking "who the hell can hit that small number at all let alone 3 times in a row!!
its not small but its high ( higher payout ) usually lower payout are easier to win but higher the payout the harder to win    the said payout number is still small and still possible to hit that more often as long as you have some sufficient balance  . take a look at that challenge thread  . many users already completed the challenge so meaning its really possible  .  challenges were never been easy on pd but its pretty entertaining and can contribute for your waggering stats if not for the sake of profit

I saw that 23.02 requirement and I was thinking "who the hell can hit that small number at all let alone 3 times in a row!!" and thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE to hit that number 3 times in a row, the odds should be millions to one easily. Then I went to forum and saw people claiming they did.

I don't know if theirs were "in a row" because they are just sharing pictures and maybe they had like a thousand bets between those ones but it looks like you guys gonna accept so some people managed to hit it. Interesting to see THAT MANY people claiming that something that is once in a million happened to them, it must be quite easy to win money on dice if they are that lucky, I wish them all the very best and suggest them to play on 9900x because with these odds they will have it 3 times in a row.

It is not impossible, I also think that the chance is not one in millions. I think you misunderstand something here as users are not hunting the number but hunting the multiplier. Lets say you are hunting for OVER bet means that you need to roll any numbers above 95.70 three times in a row. You never know if you do not even try.
Any posts can be checked as they do not just share picture/image, they are sharing betIDs that can be checked through its nonce. So it is very easy whether the bets are in a row or not.

Okay thanks for your sample info.

Finally, there's a bug that happens occasionally where the balance is updated for a loss when you've won.  I think it's just a display bug, and that the real balance is OK.

Yes sometimes that happens if you are betting way too fast Cool
Or when the Server has too much load.

Still, shouldn't this be something the developing team should be improving on? The fault in the system may deter new players from trusting your site, and in any way it would be more professional to have even the 'little things' if you can call it that, absolutely bang on, keeping up with the reputable reputation  Cheesy

This is actually the way many large exchanges and gambling sites have their betting engines set up.

When its a high load gambling site such as primedice they might have different servers and engines for different site operations. So the lower level engine might be the one that actually is the dice game itself while the secondary level engines might be displaying the balances, statistics, chats, etc.

Many sites have overload issues if you want another site that has this issue its the large Bitcoin futures exchange called Bitmex. When there is a bitcoin pump or dump the server is usually overloaded by the UI. However usually the API works and if you need to exit a position as an emergency there is an option which will market close your trade which provides a direct connection to the trading engine and your trade gets executed instead of being stuck in a backlog.

So there is nothing really wrong with the site and I don't think people will be leaving it because they aren't actually cheating people. Its just an overload and it happens even on Netflix or Facebook from time to time.
I agree with you that lagging and clogging of the system may happen at times of high demand, a feature that as you said can be experienced even on higher websites, but at the end of the day it does not detract from the fact that it still represents a system inefficiency, exacerbated by limited computing power.

At least, there is a way to modulate this delay through the settings, something I wasn't quite familiar with, and I suppose this can be a perfect use for the impatient users  Cheesy
