Primedice doesn't have to force anyone to gamble any amount, there are so many people who love gambling here all the time without any promotions or challenges or competitions. Let primedice have zero events go on and there will still be a lot of people gambling here for a ton of money every single day just because they really like it and that's it.

However, they still do these kinds of stuff because they want to give people a goal, like something to work towards, a competition, a challenge, anything that would make your gambling more entertaining because you are gambling for something, they could have made money without it as well but it just another layer of entertainment and it doesn't cost them too much, hell maybe even makes them some extra money.

Don't you think Primedice should increase the prize pool?
The first winner has won 0.036 BTC with wagering 143 bitcoins and 1.43 expected loss. So I don't think 0.036 BTC is valuable amount. Also, the second winner has wagered 24.5 BTC and won only 0.019 BTC. If the prize pool is increased, I am sure more gamblers will be attracted.
They are not forcing anyone to bet 143 bitcoins to become the winner tho, they are giving away a certain amount of money and that is all up to you to decide how much you want to bet, if you want to bet 143 bitcoins you can, if you want to bet 1 btc you can, if you want to bet 0.1 btc then you can.

The rankings are not in the control of primedice, they do not decide who will wager how much, of course it is great for them if people wager a lot but there is no requirement to wager that much to get the prize, people just bet way more than needed because they can and because they want to. So, what could primedice do about it? Tell people to not gamble that much and make them profits? There is no way a casino should do that, it would be suicidal, they are here to make money.
True, i'm sure that person who placed 1st rank with 143 bitcoins is not even thinking about the race because based on the screenshot the 2nd place is 24.5 btc which no need to wagered to 143 bitcoins to beat the 2nd place and remember this is 24 hours race, not 1.5 or 2 hours race like on Stake.

I never hide my winning. With all those pm's i know which user I can ignore.  Grin
If you are getting a ton of request asking for money and begging that they will return in a couple of days you will get irritated at a certain point and hence i used to roll with new accounts and hide my wins to avoid beggars. Not sure what is situation is right now  Cheesy.

They are giving enough promotions now and the main idea of any gambling site is to not give out money all the time and with every competition they conduct they want them to have a token of the profit they earn too. Hence i do not think that they will be increasing the prize pool and no site can make every user happy but Prime dice is doing the best they can.

Hiding your winnings is also for security reasons. Basically if you are using the name username with all your bitcoin services, casinos, exchanges with the same email and passwords you can easily become a target.

Many people re-use the same username for different casinos and probably the same password. One small site can get hacked and the hacker can hope you used the same password and try to hack in thinking you are some big whale.

Hence you can show-off your big winnings but do it with a unique username, don't use the same username as on Bitcointalk.

Sure you might think your "unhackable" but why even risk it a little. Don't give yourself too much attention.

What means "decent profit" for you? x2, x10, x100 ?
Well, I never made decent profit in btc form not x2-x5 or whatever. So, even on my highest ever win I had 1 doge turn into 33 doge I think, or my btc which was 10k turn into 50k once, those are amazing if you have the money, if you bet 10 btc and get 50 btc that is insane (I don't know what the max you can win here is) or even 0.1 turn into 0.5 is not bad if you are not risking too much of your money there.

However, when it comes to those big bets, those guys usually go for x2, like the guy who did 10 btc bet and won 10 btc back, nobody puts 10 btc in to get 100 btc back, that is probably above the max limit plus it is quite risky for such a huge amount. So all in all, maybe those huge whales are hiding themselves, I have nothing to worry, even if I hit 9990x with my money it won't worth 1 btc, so it is only a whale issue, not small fish issue.

I stand with Ukraine.
Anyway, this promo looks a bit strange to me. $100 prize for hitting 9900x with $1 bet and winning $9,900 with that? C'mon! Smiley
The probablity of winning 9900x bet is only 0.01%. So, why does it look strange?
If you bet 1$ on 9900x bet, it's like that the game multiplier is 10000x and the chance of win is 0.01%. In this case the house edge equals to 1-10000*0.0001=0

Yyyeah, but it's a promo, you know, it's supposed to be something attractive. Would you be attracted to a sale with 1% discount? I don't think so. Only something above 10% catches a customer's eye, and, in most cases, it should be above 25% to make a passerby to go into your shop. I mean, the prize looks too insignificant compared to what you win to be able to claim it. Don't you think?

It's fine to me. I mean, Primedice always have a race once a day with 24 hours race and $1000 prize pool. This is wagering contest and we don't even know is the first place who wagering 143 bitcoins in profit or not. The prize pool is fine. If you want a bigger prize pool, go try primedice siblings site stake.com, they over $5k prize pool on mega race.

Let's we assume the race goes for a rewards or bonuses, then race has planted equal 5000$ every round, I thought that's enough. Cause point on those bets for gambling be winner or lose not for looking a some bonuses.

What do you mean for lose of bitcoins based amont wagering?

he means relative percentage rakeback as a prize
some sites offer not a fixed prize , like 0.05 , 0.03 0.01 bitcoins and so on , but a fixed % of your wagered during the contest
for example , if you win the contest , you get 0.2% of the wagered , second place 0.18% etc.
such system exists and both duckdice and cyberdice implemented it
it is up to a site to choose the contest model they like , Primedice has been running contest for ages and don't seem to be keen on changing things

This promo has started on June 27, and I'm not surprised that no one won $100 yet. The minimum bet amount to be eligible for the prize is $1. Few people can afford betting $1 with 0.01% win chance. Seeing that 300x wasn't claimed yet, I just tried my luck at that, but to no avail. Anyway, this promo looks a bit strange to me. $100 prize for hitting 9900x with $1 bet and winning $9,900 with that? C'mon! Smiley

Ok great. With those hidden players I always got the feeling they want to hide something, especially when almost all winners are hidden. ;-)
The only thing people like to hide the winnings from other users is because you get a ton of messages begging for a loan especially from the users you used to see on a daily basis, if you won and if it is public then you will understand the difficult when there is a ton of messages bombarding your way  Cheesy. I prefer to hide my winnings to avoid these kind of things and nothing else  Grin.

I actually do not hide my winnings or even losses because in the end it is just an username, who cares what people think how much I made or lost when its just a username that I do not use anywhere else, that is my protection. Nobody could find how much I made and ask for money, I can ignore the ones that send me a message, it really doesn't bother me at all.

However, I have never made a decent profit at all Cheesy. So, nobody messages me, there was 2 good bets in my entire gambling life that I actually made over 0.1 in one bet and even than nobody messaged me. BUT! I would like to support the rights of people who would like to be hidden, I may not agree with them but I will defend them, no matter how much they win or lose, if they want to be hidden they should be.
