Come on pls , u still had 20% chance to lose , UR CHANCE WOULD BEEN THE SAME even if seed did not changed. I rely can't argue more. There is just no point. What u are saying doesn't make any sense at all. Ur chance to win that bet was absolutely the same regardless the seed change, yes 99.99% outcome of bet would be different but ur chance to lose is EXACTLY the same !

I dont think you understand. The SEED makes a HUGE difference in the roll.

Yes it makes 99.99% chance that bet outcome will be different. BUT UR CHANCE AFTER THE CHANGED SEED is exactly the same as if u did not change it !

I am assuming the server seed stays the same throughout my explanation just for simplicity.

Lets assume he is doing 2x and to win he has to roll under 49.5

If he sets the seed to "Hi" he might have rolled a 91 and would have won, but because PD made him refresh, the seed changed and he rolled a 19 and lost.

The same thing can be applied to server seeds (assuming he set the same client seed). When he refreshed, the server seed had changed.

Yes , u will have different outcome, but ur chance is still 49.5% to win ! It will be different outcome but it doesn't improve ur chance to win that bet Cheesy

Pls check if server seed changes every bet coz i think it does, no need to refresh . I am on autobet now so i cant check that.

This is what matters.. the outcome would have been different if the error didn't happen. Primedices error, not mine.

yes it does, server seed changes every bet, so outcome would be different anyways even if client seed stayed the same Smiley . Its just ridiculous if u think u had better chance of wining if seed stayed the same.

Well if house always win, they don't need the edge then.

That phrase isn't meant to be taken literally.

Guys its both PD's fault and Spixels fault. Its PD's fault for tech issues, and Spixels fault for betting in the first place (the house always wins)

Thats life.

I don't think it was PD fault that he lost the bet though. If I'm betting and then site goes down, but I lose my first bet when the site comes back up I can't then blame the site for my loss.

Well if house always win, they don't need the edge then.

They only "always win" because of the house edge.

The saying "the house always wins" has 2 parts.

The first part is the mathematical part, and they will eventually make their money back.

The second part is that people keep on betting if the win. They only stop once they lose their money and learn their lesson!

I really don't think I lost this bet fairly. The client seed was forced to be changed because of a technical error. I did not realise this happened because of a page reset at the time of betting.

You wouldn't be complaining if you won. You might've lost if no error happened as well.

That's not the point, the point is there was a technical error at pd which caused the client seed to be changed. I lost only 12 bets later and had based my bet on previous rolls on the old seed.

U based ur bets on previous rolls. Google gamblers fallacy coz that is what that is.
And like i said ur seed doesn't remember ur previous rolls even if it stays the same.

I will wait for support to reply because there was a technical error at PD. My betting strategy is irrelevant.
So question. If that client seed had won with the technical earlier causing the client seed to be changed, would primedice have a right to say "Uh the error caused you to win thus were taking back your bet"? No. And you don't have a leg to stand on either.

No, because is was their error.

If you want, I'll offer you a 1:1 wager that primedice does not return your BTC from that bet to you. Choose an escrow if interested. Up to 1 BTC bet.

But there's possibility you might have lost too. It's probably your responsibility to check things are as they were before you make the bet. I don't think you're gonna get your money back here.

I don't want to argue but I really don't see how this is fair. There's nothing for me to have checked. I guess some people just like to argue against the 'sore loser'

Primedice's error most likely resulted in me losing over $500 worth of btc.

I'm hoping for the best anyway, I appreciate your input but would you think the same if it happened to you?

But that's what it seems like. I have sympathy for your loss, but that's the gamble. What's the difference between accidentally making a bet or pressing the wrong button? You win some you lose some.

Nahtnam, thanks for showing some degree of support.

I don't agree it was my fault though, sure it was a risky bet.. but its not true that the house always wins otherwise nobody would win a bet Smiley

I'd have accepted this loss as my own (despite some initial grievance) had the technical error not occurred. I think PD should take responsibility for it since its likely to have caused such a detrimental loss.

This is true. PD should fix this error.

I have no bitcoins.

Last week I lost 1.39, and was trying to get to 1 btc and call it quits. Now its all gone again most likely because of the error. It was a 80% bet, if the seed was was not force changed a few moments earlier, there's a very high probability I wouldn't have lost.
