The death penalty for rape is too cruel. The punishment should be commensurate with the harm suffered by the victim. It seems to me that the degree of punishment should be determined by the victim and not the judge. The judge must ensure only that the charges were well deserved.
Do I agree with the death penalty? For this case: yes, I agree. But, my little heart is a little flicked. Is the death penalty actually "enough" to give deterrent effect to the perpetrators (and sexual predators still hanging around out there)?
Death penalty must be the mandatory minimum. But we can add additional punishments, depending on the brutality of rape. For example, rape with foreign or sharp objects causing grievous harm can be punished by a sentence of 20 years in a penal colony, before the death sentence being carried out.

The word death is actually a punishment for people who would try to make some crime like this rape case. Hearing the word death is spooky thus, it could be a good way for punishment. But it is not enough for the rapist to have such punishment considering that what he done is beyond imaginable. Maybe castration would be good then after that he should serve to the community. Then he should then be punished through death penalty.

That would be easy for them. Rapist who get away with their crime will soon rape another. Cut their penises and legs and arms and let them live if they can. Or the government can blind them but also provide them a rope if they want to hang themselves after it. I think this is a better punishment for such crime.

You can't force a person to stay with the victim and it wouldn't be a good realtionship. I honestly don't know what to think about this.
In India, sometimes the rapists are let off if they agree to marry the victim. But in 90% of the cases, the married life ends up in failure, and the groom dumps his bride after a few months.
In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

I believe you are wrong, this is only If they made a sexual relation out of wedlock (while both parties agreed on doing so). I mean, what normal person would agree to marry his rapist?

Castration and a jail or forced labour to pay off the damage and the mental stress of the victim. Anything but to let hi chill in jail for a couple of years on the taxpayers money.

No one rapes because it's in their nature. They need treatment, those who cannot be rehabilitated then deserve no part in society. Doesn't give you the right to inflict harm on others, no individual has that right.

I support the second option. After the sex change surgery, the rapist must be shipped off to some African nation, to serve in the brothels there. Any revenue arising out of this exercise must be distributed among the victims.

,Those people who are not afraid of the law needs to learn their lessons, most of them are just abusing the law because they are not scared of what might happen to them, but if someone takes the actions seriously, maybe that will be the time that they will back off and lie low, the authorities must take actions rather than implementing laws that are only good in speaking not in deeds.

If you cut off the genitals to rape then they have no will, but in ways you can trigger their transformation into killers. Many of them replace the pleasure of sex for the pleasure of torture and murder.the tortured become the torturers - this is the never ending cycle
