Ive looked hard and closely at this vtr beef and I have to say my findings conclude that the vtr community cant take any criticism and then look to blame any that they get on competing coins.

I wont invest in vtr for many reasons but that is a big one.

i'm not sure how it's trolling, it's a real and valid concern that the devs of VTR expect users to download and run a close-source piece of software on their machine to manage their money/assets (VTR) and to use their service, u see this right here?

while u can claim all u want that "oh people are aware it's closed source" that's absolute bullshit because most people on these forums don't have the due diligence or tech literacy to actually test compiling a wallet themselves.

people on VTR seem to think that attacking me or my investments some how makes their argument about this real issue that I'm raising to be more valid but it's quite the opposite, it's a logical fallacy since you can't actually address the argument you attack the one presenting it.

I'd like to point out that when I raised the issue of it being closed source I never even mentioned pure vidz any further, it was people in the VTR thread who kept bringing up pure vidz as if it had anything to do with the way their operation works

I put up most of the movies you guys requested yesterday but I cant find Saving Private Ryan or Band Santa 2 in a format thats compatible. I'll keep looking but for now enjoy all the others I put up including about 10 Christamas movies.

Good initiative, once started it should focus on homemade video content rather than copyrighted movies

We've launched one of the features early for testing. The major changes will be tomorrow but for now we're starting to integrate our 'recommended items' feed. It is worth noting that the algorithm is not yet finalized and will improve greatly in the 1.0 launch. Here's what will be added to help improve it.

#1: User Tags

Right now we are tagging based on genre alone. This is great for rough estimates (You're watching an action movie? Here's some other action movies!) but doesn't let us capture the 'feel' of the film. User tags will allow registered users to add or create tags for content which will influence how it is suggested to other users.

#2: Film Ratings

We noticed in our first tests that there was some... interesting suggestions happening with items that are technically similar but very different due to their rating level. The prime example being Sausage Party being recommended to everyone watching animated comedy movies. Sure they have a lot of similar tags but suggesting a hard R rated movie to someone watching family fluff films is not a good plan. Film ratings are part of our upcoming update regardless so once that's in place it will help cut out some of these edge cases.

#3: Popularity

In the next update we will also begin to track which films are the most popular both in regards to ratings on various film sites like IMDB and how often the file is viewed on our site. This will help us create new categories like "undiscovered gems" for highly rated films that are very rarely watched on our site, or to simply show you what is popular right now.
