Now i don't have any connections when trying to load a new wallet

You have no connections for QORA? There was a list of nodes posted a while back, there should be plenty of connections now, a lot more people have been firing up their wallets for forging.

I am going to be asking polo to stop forging here soon, but in all reality that won't make much of a difference here soon, when we change the proof in QORA. Then it will be a mined coin as well.

QORA 2.0 will be a totally new system that will be 'minted' via minting accounts in a totally new way of looking at coin mining and running a decentralized network.

Here's the the future of QORA!

Also, those with questions about BURST, you can come to BURST's forum and post your questions there, and we'll give you the answers you're needing.

I would say you can solo mine if you have 20TB or more, and you should do pretty well. Anything less than that I would go with a pool. We have multiple pools available. BURST has one of the strongest networks of any altcoin, with over 2000 active nodes.

What is the relationship between Qora and Burst? Are people buying both? And staking both?

Burst is like PoW through PoC Algo or Proof of Capacity. You mine it with your hard drive capacity. I bought both and mine Burst.

for burst you can only mine in a pool though right?

No you can Solo Mine if you have enough TB to even attempt it, not as bad as solo against bitcoin but still up there. Small pools and big pools available.

It sure has great plans ahead. This is gonna be a start of something big . Hopefully 2.0 has plan to improve its forging incentive like a supernode ala NEM or something to attract .

There will be no forging in 2.0, and soon I'm thinking we're going to change the forging on 1.0 as well, making it also a mined system. The two systems will be completely different but both mined, we're doing away with PoS I believe, but at the same time we're going to provide a couple mining styles that use the same amount of power or a tiny tiny bit more than PoS to provide VASTLY superior security and solve all issues with PoS and PoW that exist now.

We believe that PoW type mining is a better solution, but the power consumption is an issue, so we're resolving these issues, one algo will likely be similar to BURST, there will be another that is a completely new type of system that no other coin has ever done. Completely written from the ground up. I'm really excited about this because it will also provide a completely new type of trade market as well, in the buying and selling of mining-enabled accounts.

This way, the people who stake QORA because they don't have big miners, can continue to be involved, the process will just change a little, that's all. Smiley

Can you say more on the non burst algo? I know burst is pc friendly but its gonna be a poslike system? I have sent ya an inbox msg crowetic. please check it out and respond Cheesy

What I know of the PoS Like system will not have the flaws that exist with PoS.

The new algo will be able to be mined on phones, and any device really, and still remain viable on whichever device, since the mining will not be based on POWER, but instead accounts. So the more systems you have with a mining account, the more you'll be able to mine.

We're still working out a few of the details as far as what happens when new mining accounts are released, etc. But we believe it will be a great system. It will be memory hard mining, won't use traditional PoW but once in a while for a specific purpose. I'll get all of the details put into a white paper for people to check out.

It will be botnet proof, unlike any other algo, via a new specialized captcha system in development.

I personally think it will be really cool.

It will be any exchange qora for qora2? Qora(1) will be worth anything?

Yes, there will be capability to trade QORA for QORA 2, but QORA will still be actively worked on as well, changing the algo, and using it as a portal to poloniex through ACCT, as well as hosting sites and WebRTC. It will also be used for more in the future. Both coins will have their uses. QORA 2 will not have all of the same features as QORA 1, so QORA 1 will still remain relevant. All trading can happen via ACCT.

how to use the bootstrap? i extracted it to roaming folder data and it started syncing from scratch....

It is my understanding that the Windows wallet has a certain issue. But it seems all wallets don't like it if you don't close the wallet with file-quit, and let it close out like it should. Seems to corrupt the db if not done, and makes you resync.

The way that I've personally resolved this, is by using the 'universal wallet', then also downloading the data folder that I zipped up, and putting it into the extracted folder for the universal wallet. You can think of the universal wallet as a 'mobile' wallet, meaning the files are contained within that directory, and not put to the %appdata% global variable folder. So with the universal wallet, you place the extracted data folder into the QORA extracted universal wallet folder, then run (on windows) 'run.bat', the wallet will launch and it will launch in a cmd window you can watch. Do not close this window, but instead always close with file-quit on the UI.

Using the universal wallet and the data folder that I uploaded, you should not keep having these issues, given you closing the wallet always with file-quit. (which we're going to be resolving the root cause, these are just some workarounds for now.)

Thanks!

What i did that fixed it was i installed the qora (Qora-v0.26.0.exe) and then i extracted the data.zip to both the folders named 'data' and 'dataBak'. The wallet parsed the chain and now I am at the same block as the block explorer here http://216.126.198.26:9090/index/blockexplorer.html ready to transfer some coins i bought and start helping the network.

Good Job !!! That was my problem .

The 2.0 proof should be considered more 'minting' as opposed to mining, since it will be something a bit different. From now on I will refer to the process as 'minting' for the QORA 2.0 proof.
